Yes dawes didn't kick many goals this year but he was pinch hitting in the ruck and was playing a similar role that leigh brown did in his last couple of seasons. When he got his 30 goals he was still only 22 so he would've still been developing and now that he is 24 he should be entering his prime and Neeld has said he will be a stay at home fwd. I'm not saying he will be a 40-50 goal a year fwd but there is great room for improvement so there is a reasonable chance that he may become that sort of player. Pedersen i don't think will be a dominant fwd for us but he will be our 3rd tall so will not be getting the best defender on him so there is a good opportunity for him to establish himself and kick 20-30 goals Our fwd line will be loads better this year because we will no longer be looking for only clark in the 50. The defenders will not be able to double team him like they did this year and they won't be able to do it to either of the others because we now have multiple avenues to goal.

I'm really excited to see our new recruits in the team. i won't be surprised if dawes has the sort of year that clark did this season, minus the injury. Peddersen should also have a good year in the fwd line. With Clark, dawes and Pedersen all in the one fwd line we should have one of the most potent fwd line in the comp and the majority of teams will struggle to hold them. Howe i think will improve again and trengove should have a much improved year. I think spencer will step up and press his claim for a regular spot in the team Rodan i think, provided he doesn't get struck down by injuries will prove he is not done. Should be a very exciting year for the MFC. Go Dees

Like the passenger said(pg2), if you try your heart out things will begin to go your way, just like they have done for Jones now. McKenzie should be no different. While he does not have a very reliable kick, with his work ethic i'd say that will soon be gone. And anyway, players like McKenzie are worth their weight in gold due to how hard they push themselves, they set a good example for others. They may not be the most skilled but they will themselves to improve

I feel a bit robbed losing this guy, but our other picks look pretty good though. I think with Jack going to freo, he will really struggle to get a game there. He'll be behind Sandilands, Clarke and Griffen. All these guys are very good on their day so they would all have to go down injured or 2 of them before he would get a game imo. You could possibly say he would be in the same situation as if he was playing for us, but his chances would be better as Jamar is our only truely proven AFL level ruckman.

Either charge us or drop the investigation
Gippsland Dee replied to loges's topic in Melbourne Demons
This investigation started back in july/august didn't it? if they were ever going to find any evidence of us allegedy tanking (or forfeiting games as CW describes it) then surely they would've found something by now!? -

mine is ok -
i was watching the press conference and noticed that although it was purely about the Adelaide Crows and Tippett, CW tried to raise the tanking issue again! Does she not have anything better to do with her time?

Alright. I said bate was a flop simply because he is not a regular now, in hindsight it was not the right spot to place him in as he was decent when he was playing. Evans i'm really not sure why i placed him in the hits as he has only played 2 or so games and should be in the unproven slot. When rigoni was at his prime i didn't follow footy anywhere near as much as i do now so didn't really know much about him and just went purely by the number of games the website ( http://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/td-melbourne-demons?year=2002 ) said he had played (25!) and what knowledge i had about him.

Casey Scorpions coaching decision
Gippsland Dee replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
good to see drewy getting a run goes to my school so hopefully he gets a chance with them. good luck mate -
Yeah its a pretty unfortunate name. I've heard others refer to him as "pedders" which i think is far better.

Bate is training with the dogs (along with nick lower). doesn't surpirse me given the dogs were interested in bate last year. http://www.couriermail.com.au/sport/afl/nick-lower-could-join-the-western-bulldogs/story-e6frepf6-1226525754207

First time i've tried to do this so here goes. B Nicholson Frawley Garland HB watts McDonald Grimes C Toumpas trengove Howe HF perdersen Clark Sylvia F Blease Dawes Brynes R jamar Jones Viney Int. Mckenzie Dunn Sellar Sub Rodan Emg Spencer Bail/Terlich Davey Sellar I know is not popular but I really think his best is still to come and he seemed to grow in confidence in his body and himself the longer the year went on, he just needs to have others have confidence in him. Rodan could possibly be a specialised sub but going by reports on training he could possible be too valuable to us to only be the sub so unsure about him. Davey, if fit i would have him in the best 22 but i'm not convinced he will feature in many games next season but it is only early in the pre-season. Evans also if he can sort out his injuries could push his way into the 22. edit: grammar
