  3. perfect opportunity for some streaming by the club itself
  4. https://www.3ser.org.au/ just click the button saying music and you will get the footy
  5. agree... was just about to post the same... excellent commentary
  6. we await the epicurean report please
  7. Just checked the weather radar... a decent band of rain showers heading straight for Casey Fields. Definitely brolly weather
  8. he's now 27 and came across in 2014 ... played for them since 2015. When did he click .. played 11 games in 2016 and 9 in 2017. His career high game is .. wait for it...... against Melbourne in 2018 with 5 goals
  9. the amazing thing about the great bog was that it was a beautiful sunny day at Coburg. Tomorrow is at Casey (named after the old Governor general.. Baron Casey....a real establishment guy ... wonder if he barracked for the Dees). Anyway I digress ... which is of course half the fun.... I suspect they know where the solid ground is located. Speaking of solid ground I was very surprised by the softness of the Casey surface when I walked on it last week. Would love to hear Drunkn's views on the surface.
  10. A few injuries that day... Melb: White (face), Rigoni (concussion), Johnstone (ankle), Wheatley (adductor), McDonald (calf) Geel: None
  11. actually that can mean less attendances... for example Brisbane and WCE are allocated a number of series tickets which includes the GF. Often these tickets are not used for the lead up games. They should be available for sale on the secondary sites if you hunt around. Traditionally the series ticket game has been the bigger game but the AFL worked out that it can probably get more money by making the less popular game the series game. They would say that it allows more of the participating clubs' fans to attend but my cynical nature says otherwise.
  12. So time is quickly running out for O mac to sign... interesting
  13. Out of curiosity when do the players come out of contract date wise .. is it before or after the trade period Thanks
  14. most would say that two early first rounders would be fair for Hogan so you are valuing Neale at one first rounder. Might be a little low but worth arguing.
  15. Out of interest would a trade of Hogan for Lachie Neale be a fair swap or would we need more?
  16. yeah ... you have to match the dollars.. what makes you think we can match the dollars that a desperate club will throw at him. Freo has way more free salary cap than we have as do many other clubs. We will be in the same position as WCE are with Gaff. Sure they could have matched the Dee's salary offer but no way can they match the North salary offer. That's why WCE are murmuring trade in the sense they want to scare off all the other clubs bar North and make it that much harder (successful v unsuccessful club etc) for Gaff to leave. RFA shifts the balance dramatically in favour of the player. Of course the manager says he'll stay.... his pay day is next year not this year. Our bargaining year is now. Why not sign him up now if he is so certain to stay ?
  17. Miles better than the compensatory pick of around 15 that we would get if he leaves under restricted free agency.
  18. there is a lot of old fashioned logic in that question but in these days of "loading and deloading" it seems to be no longer the preferred route. Playing him for a half would seem to be very logical but I suppose the theory goes that it adds nothing to his skills and reaction time while not playing him allows them to load him in a controlled manner.
  19. Goldstein is 30 ... why would you leave to be second fiddle to the all Australian ruckman who is now 26. The second ruck has to be able to play as a KPP or he just fills in at Casey. Hell clubs prefer no ruckman over one who can't cut it around the ground. PS.. I see he's been passed by a younger guy at VFL level
  20. Richmond v Hawthorn a sell out according to the Age
  21. I ranked a successful season as being sixth with one finals win. We've bettered my first KPI and I am anxiously awaiting the bettering of the second.
  22. Tickets are $15 and can be bought online if you don't want to queue up. Never had a queue at a VFL game. Will probably head on down after breaking my Casey duck last week. A few degrees warmer would have been nice. Probably sit at the newly named Berwick end !!
  23. would be amazed if the contracts didn't have such clauses. Have never seen a sponsorship contract (and I've seen a few) without bonus payments for hitting certain targets. The question is what those targets are. Certainly finals would be a key as in simple terms it's more weeks of high level exposure. Friday night games could come into it as would ratings in key markets and amongst key demographics. Quite possible we sold ourselves low but I hope not.
  24. Will be very interesting to see the selections for Saturday's match. Top of 13 with winds to 25kph and a possible couple of showers
  25. they publish the availability of AFL walk ups as the game gets closer. I think the Richmond v Hawks game will almost certainly be an all ticket affair. It's worth checking as you can just go to the unreserved section and spread out.
