  1. perhaps ... but losses like this just restart the old cycle of fragility
  2. The real shame is that a performance like this will cost us 5 plus thousand members next year.
  3. A goal to each of the famous trio .... couldn't have had a worse start Wait AFL have changed Le Cras' score from a goal to a point
  4. think you might be right... we need the next two PS make that three
  5. yep and we would get pick 20 or thereabouts in return. Even if we keep him it would be overs from a dollar perspective. Oh so blind are those that do not see. Sign him or trade him this year.
  6. Tiger snakes are reasonably abundant along the river... especially sunning themselves on the asphalt tracks on a day like this. As the track gets busier and as the sun gets warmer you see less of them.
  7. Brayshaw was heavily tagged last week. Suspect he will be tagged again. need a great game from Oliver. Weideman will get some heavy attention and will be interesting to see how he and the team deal with it. Let's hope it's a great game. My only worry is that we go 20 plus points down and play catch up football all day.
  8. Those Tiger supporters must feel a little miffed this morning. I suspect they were busy during the week discussing the post game concert let alone their seating arrangements.
  9. don't think I could deal with the Glendinning kick again
  10. Richmond supporters were conditioned all year to believing it was back to back but last night killed that dream. We're nearly there and it's all about grabbing the chance. As the song goes..... "We may never pass this way again" ....... (or at the very least for a fair while).
  11. Playing Collingwood would be a marketers dream. Bring it on
  12. wow .. there are some weird vibes here about playing Collingwood. IF we win today it will give us the opportunity to write history. The bookend theory would do more for this club than any can imagine. It's a marketer's dream. Go West and Conquer young Demons !!!
  13. Isn't that the book that's full of stories about casting out Demons.
  14. Started this thread with the post above. Let's hope the sentiment comes true.
  15. So many said the ? were unbeatable but they have been a one trick pony...called Martin ... and when he doesn't turn up......
  16. Mmmmm We were 32 points up at three quarter time last week and the Hawks got within twelve Can hear the fireworks for the storm win
  17. Do these commentators have any idea of tempo in their commentary. Like a bunch of five year olds who have overindulged on red cordial
  18. let's hope we don't end up like the young beneficiaries in Bleak House. Now to work Camus in for next week. ?
  19. Doesn't add much to what has already been posted but an interesting article in the Age with some good old pictures. One point perhaps worth mentioning was that in the Richmond V Adelaide grand final last year the of the 40k of tickets notionally available to the competing clubs the AFL only issued 32k. This was despite a very large number of Richmond members missing out last year. "Actual ticket allocations fluctuate at the AFL's discretion. For example, club members were allocated 32,000 tickets of a possible 40,000 last year. The AFL will decide on exact numbers closer to the game." https://www.theage.com.au/sport/footy-s-biggest-day-how-the-tickets-are-allocated-20180920-p50518.html
  20. usually take a radio to the footy and tune in now and then for play highlights (after goals) or where there is controversy etc. Last week thought I would reduce the weight of the backpack, go high tech and listen on the phone. Didn't count on the delay of around 30 seconds where the ball would be at one end and they were still commenting on the play from the other end of the ground !! Went and bought a $7 mini transistor at the $2 shop for my next trip to the MCG
  21. I'm having visions of Mrs Haversham in Great Expectations ?
  22. so no nerves when the Hawks were within 12 points and Max kicks it out on the full in their forward line... wow you are a cool customer ?
  23. yep... believe it or not WCE home membership was closed as I understand it. They opened up for another 10k season members when they moved to Optus so I am not sure if they filled all of those. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-10-23/eagles-dockers-perth-stadium-tickets-and-seat-selection/9077128
  24. No doubt that Mason Cox holds the key in the sense that the Pies just seem to lack goal kickers. Was going to run a thread as to who was the better VFA pick up between Brody Mihocek and Bayley Fritsch but the air went out of that balloon.
