Geelong are lucky enough to have senior players who contribute significantly week in week out. They have four or five players who are plus 28 who feature in their top 15 each week. Remind me in that sense of North with Harvey and the Saints withe Riewoldt, Montagna and Milne. They have also lucked into youth in the form of Kelly etc. Hell..... I'm jealous

I have nothing to go on but perhaps Gill may get a gentle push in the next year. While the financial KPI's are good there has been some stuff ups that haven't' done the "brand" much good. If I was a club chairman I would want to know why we weren't onto this concern some years back. The apology now runs hollow as LH says. The turning point if not before may be the next round of TV rights negotiations. It may not be pretty.

Time to engage in that perennial Melbourne supporter activity of picking a second team to follow for the rest of the year. My favourite is GWS. The reason.... they're like fantasy football with their umpteen first round choices that you can then trade forever. Also their winning has little emotional impact upon anyone. Tonight's a tough one .. the pretentious against the entitled (not quite as entitled as Hawthorn though.) In a lacklustre round as was last week there could be a few upsets so... Did they ever resolve the ownership of afl.com. IIRC correctly it was originally registered by a domain name miner. A quick google search shows a site offering the domain name for sale.

One certainly hopes so. The continuation of the zone defence with second string players has without doubt been a tactical error by Goodwin. Would it have made a difference.. maybe we would have won two more games... WCE and Adelaide but the lack of scoring ability has perhaps been our main problem in most games.

Agree.. the Weid needs to improve his positioning and in particular stop being pushed under the ball.
