  1. Not the news we were hoping for
  2. Petty initially ducked which caused Naughton's arm to go over the shoulder. It was the correct call even though the lingering nature made it look unusual
  3. unless things have changed...yes byo chair/ blanket .. enjoy the grassy knolls AND please report on the bacon and egg rolls
  4. I do believe we have entered the zone of enjoyment Go Dees
  5. well we went into the zone of death at a 26 point lead and failed to break out. Here we are again... Need to get to the 34 point zone of comfort please
  6. Sorry .. the Age picture was of a fist by Kozzie to the chin of McCrae
  7. Already a big picture in the Age Flush on the chin by the looks of it
  8. A mini bang bang is good for the soul
  9. the statistical dominance by Port over Brisbane is mind blowing For example half way through last quarter Disposals 350-230
  10. Had forgotten about the in between game. Port looking inaccurate but well in the game
  11. seems they're not going to follow the MFC of 2022
  12. yes... same here.. I turned off my adblocker for the site last night and it improved but today back to mediocrity
  13. North got themselves to the infamous danger zone ... 26 points up... and didn't go on. We all know how this ends
  14. Makes you wonder how they're managing their salary cap. The stars of the Eagles must be coming towards the end of their mega contracts
  15. Losing to North... must be tough being an Eagles supporter these days. Just amazing how they have bottomed out
  16. Yes.. the AFL pay prize money which per week equates roughly with the salary cap which allows additional match payments. It has always been a point of contention that the prize money is not that great
  17. Comes down to bargaining power Howe will be ok... he may have had some upside but most will be guaranteed. Never know with a few non playing activities (panels etc) he may do better
  18. Agree I bought tickets and did the online visa process for the World Cup in Russia in 2018. It was a breeze compared to the AFL ticketing monolith
  19. Ouch 3 Magpie goals in deep red time
  20. Thanks... great start by Australia
  21. Round 1 has now become a contrived 50/50 round with roughly equal clubs pitched against each other. Not sure what people think but to me it robs the regular season of decent matches when teams are more settled
  22. I set myself up for this match just before the great lockdown of 2021. Had the airfares booked and a lovely airbnb just on the outskirts. In order to guarantee a ticket I bought an MFC entertainment package. Meal and ticket if I recall for $100. In the scheme of things it was cheap compared to the other costs. Got the money back from the club at the end of 2021 without asking. Still sitting on useless airline credits though. I even have one from Thessaloniki to Bologna from April 2020 which I'll also never use
  23. The mailing list is handled by the ticket company. Not impressed at all. This is what I posted on the ticketing thread: On a related topic I have got some strange emails from the membership depts managed presumably by the ticketing companies. First was last week encouraging me to renew my MFC membership which was done 4 months ago. Yesterday I got one asking me to join the North Melbourne tipping comp. The footer said I had registered to receive updates from North Melbourne which of course I have never done. In these days of cyber hacks you wonder how secure and maintained your data is. Not to mention where it is
  24. I thought Carlton lacked structure in its gameplan last night with Richmond continuing its helter skelter gameplan. Geelong and Collingwood gameplans are/were very different. I wonder which one will succeed this evening
