  1. Wondering where Duigan's at as well? As for other VFL players: We desperately need a small forward and saints has a pletora of smalls. A Saad from the saints has been squeezed out and is worth chasing. He can play. Not sure where Kangas hold Kieran Harper in their ratings, Shane Savage at the Hawks, Sipposs at the Saints. Last one is Daniel Cross. Haven't seen him play at all this year so he could be past his use-by-date but could be an option for a midfield experience starved Demons.
  2. Fitzpatrick isn't a true ruck. Spencer is always depth R3. Gawn is R2. Looking to build to be R1. Jamar is R1 for the present till Gawn is ready. IMO we need to draft another true (developing) ruck at R4. Don't want Dawes or Clark as rucks.
  3. You'll see on Saturday for yourself. Congrats Mitch on ur first game.
  4. Absolutely. can't understand the thinking MFC Looking for a gun forward for years, "possibly" once in a generation Jesse Hogan comes along Move him down back. Classic Melbourne.
  5. We just signed him to a 3 year deal before game 1. I know where you're going with this. Ala Cale Morton. Sell before his price drops. IMO still early and will give him another 12 months but I get where you're coming from.
  6. Not a great stat cause it's not true. We strung a few games in 2010 and 2011.
  7. Watts needs a fixed position. If it's back, it's back but he needs stability. I'd prefer he played forward. Watts should be playing Howe's role. Forwards who have freedom to move up field when required. Clark, Dawes, Hogan as the big three. Watts and Howe as the mid forwards who are creative and a small crumber. We would have a nice looking forward line in 2014. Limited supply still but it looks good.
  8. it's been that for a decade. Half half footballers. We can't seem to develop a player who is complete. If Travis Johnstone had Simon Godfrey's heart and work ethic or Godfrey had Johnstone's skills, we would have a superstar. If Paul Johnson had Jamar's big man skills etc.
  9. phew. Hope its just a corkie. Was driving home with sen and their announcer said jeese Hogan has hurt his knee in the vfl when discussing knee injuries in afl.
  10. Was no 76 for Casey Dean Kent? cause he was involved in some very good passages of play. Loving his run.
  11. We did that a few years ago too after a bad lost and they went off to Lorne? and tell some "home" truths amongst each other. It didn't work. it actually stank of follow the leader. Geelong did it in their first premiership year where they went off together and were honest with each other so of course we did too. The famous one was when the leadership group challenged Ablett Jnr. One of my favourite quotes of Ablett's. "I thought I worked hard and trained as hard as I could but when my peers questioned my application, I pushed myself to find another level in training and there was another level" I'm hoping to god our players are brutally honest and a few stand up. I'm hoping a certain Jack Watts talent can be harnessed.
  12. No doubt if we drafted wines, it would only be time that supporters will bemoan that we keep drafting the same style of player. How slow our midfield is with Jones, wines, viney, trengove, grimes. We got smashed in the middle but long termToumpas actually adds something we need/don't have. Please mfc don't fark up up jimmys development. He should be a good player
  13. Jetta Frawley Dunn Watts TMac Terlich Trengove Viney Grimes Howe Clark Kent Sellar Dawes Byrnes Jamar Rodan NJones Int: Toumpas, MJones, Magner Sub: Blease If not fit Straight swaps Trengove to Jordie McKenzie Clark to Pedersen Blease to Sylvia (sub)
  14. i had doubts on Mitch Clark last season but he came with big money and performed like a forward on big money. Mitch didn't exactly have another tall to lean back on and performed. The same is expected of Dawes. Yes structure and all that but 2 goals a game (average) for the year should not be asking too much.
  15. You are right but of course you go overboard to make your point. Pick one is for a "franchise" player. Jack Watts isn't that. I think he'll still be a fine player and play plenty of good games but he is a bad pick one. I still hold hope he just finds that switch but it's hoping.
  16. How did we go with them in the team last year?
  17. I don't see Chappy in Tapscott. Chappy is a natural ball winner, smart and could easily play as a mid. Tapscott isn't. Like Strauss, a player I'm hoping rather then knowing.
  18. Remember when Dunn kept giving cheap punches to Paul Chapman's back and Chappy reacted. Dunn's a poser. He ain't tough.
  19. Hope the guys who really wanted in got in. 12 runners in the league. The draft is set Sunday March 17th at 12pm. It'll be a live draft in snake order. Standard for everything else. We would like to know who is who so if you could post your team name here or in the league box, that'll help. Good luck guys. Jiagars
  20. sorry mate. sent the wrong code. sent you the right one now. Have 8 or so confirmed and i'll hold their spots, haven't heard back from 4 so hit me up if u're interested.
  21. I've sent off a dozen or so but I may have misse some so hit me back if ur interested.
  22. Yeah interested too. I've been in a few demonland DT and it does fall away a bit. I'll set one up. Hit us with ur rank and I'll PM the code. I'll do one for supercoach if there is enough interst.
  23. who knows. Only Frawley, McDonald and Garland are locks for me. Have no trust in the others but I would give first crack to Jetta Frawley Garland Watts McDonald Strauss
  24. So true. Garland and Rivers were key forwards last year. Ouch. Blease Clark Howe Pedersen Dawes Byrnes Pedersen is a step up from Martin as a forward. If he can hold down 2nd ruck, Clark, Dawes, Pedersen could work well together. Hogan will add more 'welcome problems' next year.
  25. Rohan Bail was listed 92kg a few years ago when clearly he wasn't. had to be a typo. Barry as 78kg is absurd.
