  1. More dumb than awkward imho
  2. On the off-chance Simon reads this Thank you for playing a big part in delivering the ultimate success that many of us long suffering MFC supporters had given up on Genuinely hope you remain one of the demon faithful post coaching
  3. Suggest you sit through the whole thing - make your own mind up - everyone will have their take on it but for me his messaging was underwhelming I have less confidence in the direction of this club today than I did yesterday - and frankly it wasn't very high yesterday
  4. Wow just a little bit glass half empty The response from the players this week will be telling
  5. You obviously have/had extremely low expectations of Green To me that was one of the most amateurish performances I've ever had the displeasure to witness God help this football club if that effort reflects in any way the competency of the Board that is apparently making sound decisions about our future direction Simon spoke well and I personally wish him well. Hopefully this decision is the right one for all concerned but to me I have significant doubts as someone looking in from the outside not knowing all the facts
  6. Same I get to see the swans more than I'd like tbh Brodie tries very hard and has played well this year compared to the last few seasons, but he is no Max. If you had to choose either in your team, I'd struggle to even consider Brodie over Max.
  7. Interesting I wonder where we would be sitting on the ladder had we kicked at 56% before the bye round?
  8. Interesting comparison between Langford and Culley, both being fairly tall and built strong enough to compete with bodies with more preseasons under the belt. Neither are overly quick, and I do wonder if it's possible to increase leg speed I can't really remember any players in the past that have noticeably increased pace, but it may be possible. Langford had multiple chances to mark the footy overhead close to goal and had he taken those could really have had a day out - both could become weapons overhead in years to come if they continue to improve imo
  9. I'd prefer to see some genuine intensity and aggression - so both of those blokes can stay at home based on recent exposed form thanks
  10. Careful the mention of odds or betting might trigger some people
  11. If Kozzy did what Mills did we all know 100% he'd be gone for at least 3 weeks - this tribunal system is a complete farce On Spargo's injury he did seem to hurt his shoulder just before the Mills contact when he was in a contest on the left forward pocket - could be either incident I think
  12. Ditto for the Filth and has anyone ever seen their away jumper?
  13. ooops sorry thought he was back 😄
  14. At the risk of upsetting a few here there are at least 4 on that list that arguably will never play AFL on a regular basis - we need to keep refreshing our stocks in the KPF ranks as it continues to be our Achilles heel imo
  15. Our recent record against the Swans hasn't been great so despite them having some a few regulars missing we should not expect this game to be easy. I went to see the Swans against Carlton last week at the SCG. They don't bat that deep atm imo so if you can nullify a few key playmakers, we should win. Heeney and Warner are probably the big threats so hopefully Viney and I suspect Clarry can keep them under wraps - both are super dangerous inside F50. Blakey creates a lot of rebound in their D50 and I thought the Blues did a decent job of blocking his usual handball receives which robbed him of the chance to do too much damage.
  16. Fagan is a genuinely good bloke - and a good coach
  17. Yep unless the Dees are 15 🤣
  18. Any of the Casey boys get a blatant trip that was missed by the umps or do they just save that sort of stuff for Kozzy who imo always seems to get a bad run from them (and the tribunal)
  19. Sure is - good skills, fast ball movement and some half decent forwards 18 goals in a half is good to watch
  20. I must be looking at the wrong AFL ladder atm - we are 15th and frankly that’s a pretty fair reflection of where we are at atm
  21. Hard to believe fitness is not an issue when we see consistently poor 4th quarter output
  22. They are top 4 and we are bottom 4 Not sure it’s a surprise they outnumbered our supporters who do have a tendency to drop off if we aren’t playing well
  23. He actually offers more than Jefferson at this point and I think the coaching staff would probably agree Both have their work cut out to be regular AFL players imo
  24. That’s just unfair on a guy that’s been at the club 5 minutes you seem to set very different standards for certain players on the list
  25. Surely not he used his body to out position his opponent - that’s legal
