Fair bit of truth in this - we have some very good players and a few today that frankly are not going to deliver the MFC a premiership. Desperately need to get some best 22 soldiers back for the next game

I think it's fair to say that if his name was Pikelett and not Pickett the interest factor from all quarters would be significantly lower (such is the unique talent of our #36). LSP played most of the year at Glenelg reserves and did ok but hardly setting the world on fire - he did do ok in a late season seniors game where he kicked 4 but two of those I think were handed to him - the next week he had 6 disposals and was subsequently dropped LSP might be a star in the making under an AFL system with good coaching and the support of his cousin close by. He might also be a player that is just not up to the highest level I'd be ok giving Kozzy's cousin a go if we can somehow find a way to get him in after our picks 7&8 - he is not imho worth a punt in the first round of the national draft where other All Australian youngsters are still available

I'm not here to defend Sparrow or necessarily sing his praises based on recent stats - however his lack of possessions may be at least in part due to the role assigned to him by our recently departed coach. We may see a few guys play with a bit more flair and attack if given the chance - hopefully Tom is one that benefits from a different approach. To my eyes Cumming looks like a good honest toiler but not a game breaker or someone that has any real skills or tricks that we don't already have on our list - however, I am the first to acknowledge that others will have much better chance of identifying elite talent than me

Serious question and not intended to be critical of this young fella (as he does look like a real competitor) but - what exactly does he do that is better than Tom Sparrow? To me he is almost the same player

He may not still be available at our first pick - we don't seem to be linked to him either which I'm hoping is a smokescreen

Hopefully it plays out like this personally I see way more upside in Grlj than either Cumming or Sharp. If we are serious about trying to get speed on the ball, then it's a no brainer imho

Quick, great step, can run and carry to gain metres, decent disposal - if we don't take this guy if he is available at our first pick I will be astonished. Seems the perfect fit for the speculated Steven King gamestyle

Tough list to crack into for a game imho - plus might be too hot up in Vegas for an Irishman Am I being optimistic - perhaps but hopefully the Legend of the great Jimmy Stynes might influence his decision

I like the look of Onley too but doubt he would still be there at 37

Dove could be a slippery customer in wet conditions Personally, I'm not a fan of his work

Like the look of this guy, he reminds me a great deal of Isaac Heeney the way he kicks and his sidestep - personally think he has great potential and hope he is still there at our picks

Not sure I see the appeal with him - reminds me a lot of James Jordan who we didn't think was best 22 Not quick, not an elite kick, not aerially special Probably a great teammate and might play 100 games but hardly someone I'd invest pick 7 or 8 in - but just my humble opinion

Looking forward to seeing our media "draft mark" after this circus - struggling to see it being A+

I hope the MFC are clear that releasing star players from contracts for unders makes the teams we are supposedly competing for a final 8 spot much stronger - presumably that's because we feel more comfortable with being a cellar dweller

I wonder if the lack of said balls is a contributing factor to this club being perpetually pushed down 🤔

Hopefully if Humphrey's manager shuts down any thought of a trade to the MFC our list manager is straight on the phone advising the pretend chef that he has 4 years of a contract that he happily signed and to get very fit in the off season and work on his kicking skills

Sounds like the old - coach is the good guy list manager is the A hole trick to me
