Bowey was v good this week in the VFL game - not suggesting he should replace Hunt atm but certainly working back into some good form - keeps the pressure on our small backs which is always a good thing

I thought they used Aish to tag Oliver in the second half of this years earlier meeting - worked well for them that day Aish did a good job and was certainly one of their few good players Friday night

Well if Max was confident he was going he wouldn't be stupid enough to say those things he would just say nothing - sounds like he hasn't made a decision to me Does not mean he will want an extension but it suggests to me he hasn't made a clear decision either way yet

Exactly and why wouldn't any young aspiring ruck want to stick with him - and for that matter why would you give up the opportunity to play alongside Trac, Clarry and Gus (amongst others) every week I've said it before but so far LJ has said zero about his intentions - it is the feral media (BT is the absolute worst - what a complete [censored] of a human being he is) that keep suggesting he wants to go back to Perth Until I hear it from Luke I still don't know why he'd do that - a lot of people on here might look a bit silly buying into the speculation (a bit like the Gus situation)

I would love it if he just said I'm staying put because I love the MFC and the great mates I've made who can bring home more flags

Joel looked a bit rusty in the first half but definitely better in the second half as you’d expect He may need another run at Casey to build some match fitness

Smith got better as the game wore on - bit rusty early as you’d expect but he did some nice things in the second half and some good marks It was a difficult day for talls given the windy conditions so not really ideal for him or M Brown Howes was ok but didn’t get much of it and turned the ball over a couple of times with poor disposal - again probably couldn’t expect much given a long time out - needs a big summer in the gym IMO

Hope it’s more 40 than 60 and LJ stays put where he belongs with his mates at MFC - length of the Flemington straight more value than a washed up Grundy IMHO

Very very good footballer - under rated by many IMO

This is the ridiculous small town scrutiny that Luke will be exposed to if he decided to leave particularly if it involves a mega deal - no idea why anyone would want to carry that gorilla around on your back

Play well Demons and lets get a much needed win - if we are to really challenge and go back to back this is the game we need to win

Hopefully he has a good game - expectations should be modest as he’s missed a lot of footy but a few goals and getting through unscathed would be a real positive

Would have been absolutely shocked if Gus left - great to see him stick with the mighty Dees

He is 18 years old - would you expect him to be as skilled as Cameron now ? I wouldn't He can take one grab marks, has a good kicking action, can move ok and can get separation from his defender - yes all of this at NAB level but still shows lots of promise - surely in the frame given our need for quality tall forwards
