  1. FYI BBO not sure the lead in with driving the dog ute and getting on the booze is the best strategy for getting post game accomodation with Demonland sheilas 😀 Anyway hope your right about the game result - we will need to apply our trademark full field pressure and stop their run - if we do that we should prevail and how sweet it will be
  2. Its a worthy experiment and one that a few of us have been suggesting for some time now He will take some time before he adjusts to a forward role so expectations should be modest in the short term - he will however provide a good physical contest both in the air and on the deck I would expect we will see more of Joel in the F50 next season
  3. Yep and Harmes led our tackle count that day despite him only being on the field for that time If you consider the tackle stats and pressure acts these are the guys that play the Melbourne way That is why he will be considered for selection this week even though we had a good team performance last week
  4. You missed TOG% of 64 which was the lowest of any Demon player Can't do much on the bench He is safe as houses
  5. I doubt it particularly as it looks like it could be wet - the one thing that is worth considering is that JVR's best game this year (IMO) was against Geelong at the kitty box on a very wet day - not suggesting he is like a wet track racehorse but he was particularly good that day
  6. Hope she belted them with the nearest heavy blunt instrument
  7. So your Dad didn’t manage to get into your head - thank goodness 😅
  8. They are not known as being particularly sharp 😀
  9. I'm sorry to hear that OD I hope your son recovers soon and starts following the Dees
  10. Joel Smith would still be my choice from those 3 - physically capable of having an impact against an opposition that is battle hardened JVR if it was a nothing game against weak opposition but we don't have one of those games left this season - his time will come soon enough after a big summer/pre season Mitch Brown is not an AFL footballer IMO
  11. What constitutes most suitable in this context ? Having zero impact ?
  12. I can really only remember him in this years pre season game against Norf where he looked overweight and couldn't get a kick Anything but a jet that day
  13. I'd say there may be some truth in that - Fyfe replacement of sorts
  14. His 4 Out of bounds on the full was good
  15. In an article today Longmuir was quoted as follows referring to the David Mundy retirement "He is close to the end, and we need to make sure we put all of our own personal issues and indifferences to one side and see if we can help him achieve what he wants to achieve in his last handful of games" It was quite a strange thing to say I thought and suggests that things perhaps are not what they should be in the Dockers camp link below Dockers urged to do it for Mundy in AFL (msn.com)
  16. And probably made in Bangladesh 😃
  17. If your avatar is any indication of your wardrobe preferences it seems you are more a beard guy than clothes guy 😃
  18. Rivers going nowhere after last week
  19. Bowey was v good this week in the VFL game - not suggesting he should replace Hunt atm but certainly working back into some good form - keeps the pressure on our small backs which is always a good thing
  20. I thought they used Aish to tag Oliver in the second half of this years earlier meeting - worked well for them that day Aish did a good job and was certainly one of their few good players Friday night
  21. Howe played this week ?
  22. Well if Max was confident he was going he wouldn't be stupid enough to say those things he would just say nothing - sounds like he hasn't made a decision to me Does not mean he will want an extension but it suggests to me he hasn't made a clear decision either way yet
  23. Exactly and why wouldn't any young aspiring ruck want to stick with him - and for that matter why would you give up the opportunity to play alongside Trac, Clarry and Gus (amongst others) every week I've said it before but so far LJ has said zero about his intentions - it is the feral media (BT is the absolute worst - what a complete [censored] of a human being he is) that keep suggesting he wants to go back to Perth Until I hear it from Luke I still don't know why he'd do that - a lot of people on here might look a bit silly buying into the speculation (a bit like the Gus situation)
  24. I would love it if he just said I'm staying put because I love the MFC and the great mates I've made who can bring home more flags
  25. Interesting from Max Gawn tips Jackson to ink new Dees AFL deal (msn.com)
