  1. Thanks. I don't know the draftees well enough - does anyone see any surprises, bolters or sliders? And would Howes be good for us?
  2. I see Mazer has come and gone from this thread. Does he have it right already...🙄
  3. That was quick...thank you!
  4. Not sure all clubs know when the deadline is...Geelong seem to think it is Feb 18. Some clubs are being a bit evasive which is fine for public consumption but presumably their medicos are checking that all is in order. every-club-status-players "The AFL's COVID-19 vaccination policy required all Victorian players to have had at least one jab against the virus by late last month, as well as being fully vaccinated by November 26 as per the state government's Authorised Worker Vaccination Mandate."
  5. @Demonstone More please - its very ho hum around here at the moment...
  6. Two separate cases involving Hawthorn players hawthorn-covid19-finn-maginness-positive-test-players-isolating-club I guess all clubs will need to prepare for this possibility and have contingency plans especially in-season.
  7. Another change that may not affect many people but is worth noting. The renewal email said: "Please note: If you have previously had linked individual accounts, these will now be combined into one account where multiple members are listed on the same account, share one email address, one invoice and use the same payment method" According to the club that is now an AFL requirement.
  8. Looks like an Evergrande site! You know the ones in China that they have deliberately imploded and destroyed - never finished, never inhabited. The first 30 secs of this tells the story. Like Evergrande sites the Eddie proposal doesn't deserve to go ahead for pure ugliness!
  9. Part of the sticker pack on the top left:
  10. I just checked my auto renewal notice and it gives the option to select one of the 'freebies'. FYI @Bitter but optimisticI'm guessing it would need to have been submitted before the auto renewal was activated which was a few weeks ago I didn't see an option to select a 'souvenir' card.
  11. Check out these pages for the goodies in a Trident membership. https://membership.melbournefc.com.au/membership/trident https://membership.melbournefc.com.au/membership/trident-level2a No mention of a membership card or a lanyard. As mentioned a 'souvenir' card is optional and free. I was told entry to games will only be via mobile phone/app. The other choices (free) are shown on the right below. If you would like the card or any of the freebies call the club. The auto-renewal won't know 🙃
  12. The 'souvenir' card option is there for on-line renewals. Don't know what happens with auto-renewals.
  13. Credit to the development coaches and their team as well as recruiters. A small technicality - this is the 2019 draft
  14. We can opt for a physical 'souvenir' membership card. Haven't seen one yet but I'm guessing it is similar to a regular membership card but it won't get us into the ground. Entry is only via a mobile phone. Exercise the option when re-newing.
  15. After using pick 94 for Jordon, we have 33 senior (+5 A rookie) players ie 4 list spots enough to use our other 4 live picks if we want. Its been reported/guessed that we will take use two or three live picks in the draft which will leave 1 or 2 list spots left for post draft additions.
  16. It has now been confirmed that Jordon will officially be made a senior player. rookies-set-to-be-upgraded-to-the-primary-list He will count as one of the three minimum draft picks to be taken and we will use our last pick, probably pick 94. Chandler has not been upgraded so will remain a rookie for 2022. During or at the end of next year he will be placed on the senior list. In that respect I will leave the chart as is. I will show Petty's contract extension from 2022 to 2025 with the next chart update.
  17. Fair call. Perhaps 'project' wasn't the right word. More that he was taken knowing he would take time to develop. Having said that he hasn't developed at the rate most of us would like but the club still has faith. I reckon he might still get there; not the star KPF we would hope for from a pick 9 but a very good contributor to our fwd line. .
  18. The precedence is set aflw-adelaide-crows-star-deni-varnhagen-covid19-vaccination-refusal-anti-vax/news-story Now on the 'Inactive List': "And Varnhagen’s stance means while she will still be officially linked to the club, the 29-year old won’t be permitted to train or play games".
  19. Great pic of George, proud dad and Godfather (according to Gus).
  20. Hoisted by his own petard!
  21. Ha, ha: when on a good thing, stick to it I say! 🙂🙃 The best part of any call of the third qtr bliz is that the vision never changes. A joy to watch. ...I'm a big fan of the Old and New Masters but favourites are the late 19th c and 20th c Impressionists.
  22. I remember Taylor saying that Sam was taken as a project. At the time we had Watts and Hogan. No one could have foreseen that the latter two would be gone within a few years. Not saying Sam will make it but the club had good reasons for taking him at the time. Also, at the time the club had filled its quota of on-ballers: Petracca, Brayshaw, Salem, Tyson, Oliver, ANB, Harmes, Hunt, Stretch (with Viney and Jones already at the club) and we were ready to start taking tall players to develop. So Sam was it.
  23. No surprise that Hunt and Langdon are in the top 5. Their run and carry down the wing is a joy to watch. Quite a few posters regularly pot Salem for being slow - hope that stat quietens them.
  24. Yes we do and plenty left over for Taj, depending on where he is selected..
  25. Thanks, Macca. I was thinking of the replica that is presented to the winning side. But I also like the idea of the original (at the other MCC) being encased for protection. I believe it is now in their museum.
