Ironic that you should mention Peter Bell because early on in Freos entry they traded away Jeff Farmer, Mathew Lloyd & Scott Lucas as well as letting Andrew McLeod slip through their fingers. Then they let Bell go after a handful of games & he became a champion at North. Almost as poor trading as Footscray in the 1970's.

Nothing to do with "unlucky". They are obsessed with luring back high profile West Australians & it often blows up in their face or is poor value for $$ ie Des Headland, Harley Bennell, Jesse Hogan & the Col Sylvia trade was also a disaster

If Freo had been smarter they would have kept Lloyd Meek instead of trading for Jackson. Ditto trading for Hogan & hanging on to Lachie Neale might have been an idea.

Freo & to a lesser degree have got a terrible history of overpaying for returning WA players, Harley Bennell, Hogan, Tim Kelly which invariably blows up in their face.

Agree you ARE waaaay off target. Spargo is nowhere near a great player. He is a good team man & role player. Culley's disposal is barely at AFL level, just turns it over too much. So far Sharp has shown little. He has pace but seems timid & has average skills - about on par with Oskar Baker.

Politicians now feel the need to comment about everything - Taylor Swift, drinking water to stay hydrated, swimming between the flags, checking on granny during hot weather and every high profile crime event. I really don't know how humanity survived without their gratuitous advice. She should shut her cake hole about most things & worry about paying off the debt.

This was appropriately dealt with by the Club & the AFL in the pre season and most people were ok with it. Surprised you would support a grubby politician who sticks their nose in a court matter because they think they can get political benefit out of it. I thought lynch mobs went out of favour in the 1930's but some Demonlanders sound like they want them back.

You must be kidding. Fullerton did very little and was beaten at 2 ruck contests by Oscar McD. He gets another chance but really showed nothing.

I'm 68 years old & haven't kicked a footy in 10 years yet I would back myself against Max in taking 10 set shots for goal 20m out at 45 deg.

Multiple AA's yet still can't be relied on 20 metres out aaand still shanks them left. At least he's consistent.

May & Pickett both had niggles after the last game.

It's all about list management that is player trading, third & 4th round draft picks & rookie picks over the last 4-5 years. Geelong has been outstanding while we have been rubbish & made our list worse. For example they have 4 genuine ruck options while we have 1 and a half.

And let's not forget Goodwin is arguably the worst match day tactician going round. His failure to pick up unmanned Geelong defenders last week was ludicrous. We may as well have just stopped at the half way mark and handed the ball over to a Geelong player.
