  1. A pretty shallow article. Injuries, suspensions & form means we don’t have a lot of options.
  2. Anyone else find it odd that 3 of the 4 quickest players on the list left - Baker , Bedford & Hunt.
  3. Talent is important but its essential to have tough nuts with a dash of mongrel like Bernie Vince, Nev Jetta & now Hibbo. An absolute favourite. He will be missed.
  4. Certainly talented & has that x factor. Not sure he is the most team oriented player going - seems a tad hungry but then again maybe that's not a bad thing in a forward.
  5. Amazing what you can find out on Demonland.
  6. I understand that but it still baffles me. Imagine if Steven May insisted that his surname be pronounced My or Petty insisted that his surname be pronounced Pet-tie.
  7. How on earth do you get doo day. I'll always pronounce it dough - dee
  8. Clearly some people feel threatened by democratic processes at play.
  9. Think its a bit unfair on Jack W. Watching old Dees highlights of the last 10 years recently I was pleasantly surprised at how many times JW was instrumental at winning in close finishes. His kicking was a weapon. Also apart from a form dip he established himself as a regular A grader whereas JS after several years & 3 clubs is still a B grader.
  10. He was unlucky. He was in good form & Goodie actually talked him up at a presser. Unfortunately he injured his knee & missed a month or so at the same time Clarry got injured & that ruined his chances.
  11. Another Tom Mitchell, accumulates a lot of possessions but doesnt hurt you.
  12. Bit of a worry that in such a belting Jefferson only had 4 touches & Adams 2 touches.
  13. Every generation says pretty much the same thing. Despite our protestations we all end up emulating our parents & grandparents 🤯
  14. Come on gang whats happening. Friday evening & no information provided. I'm going spare !!!
  15. Not quiet sure what you're saying. I've given 3 examples of premiership coaches where the Clubs signed up the coaches for long deals and later regretted it. If the Club had waited until mid 2024 it would have made a more informed decision.
  16. Totally untrue. Melbourne was pondering whether to reappoint him or not so he jumped ship. It was the right decision. Richmond had a premiership coach in Robert Walls coming back to Melbourne & were keen to get him. Northey got wind of it & jumped ship.
  17. Not relevant - Richmond had Walls who was a premiership coach in the wings so were fine with Northey going while Geelong finished 11th in 1999 & Cats rightly refused to extend Ayers beyond 2000 so he left.
  18. They all thought they were smart at the time - later on not so much
  19. Surely you have to factor in the talent they had. Imagine if in 2021 Goodie had Al Nicholson & Matt Collins in defence & Ben Beames on the bench.
  20. These extended contracts are great for the coach as it means a big extra payout. Not so good for the Club. Look how its worked out for Clarkson @ Hawks & now Footscray or West Coast. And tell me the last Premiership coach that was poached due to the contract not being long enough ???
  21. Dumb idea. If he's already contracted until the end of 24 why not wait til mid 23. 12 months can be long time in football
  22. What an odd comment. You may as well speculate his poor form was due to staying up all night with an x box addiction. And Gary Hardeman (with an e) a fisherman ????? His poor form was because he was older & way past his best.
  23. 6 Lever 5 Brayshaw 4 Melksham 3 Rivers 2 Langdon 1 Sparrow
  24. I've been one of Dunstan's biggest supporters but his ball use last week was often poor. Several bad turnovers.
  25. I thought our lack of leg speed stuck out like sore thumb. Apart from Moniz Wakefield the 6 or 7 quickest players were from Carlton.
