Harrison Petty
For what it's worth Kane Cornes today while commenting on the football said he would be surprised if Petty stayed at Melbourne.

Mr Ed
Anyone have any idea what's up with Ed Langdon. He is still playing solid footy & contributing but is way off his AA form of 2020-2022. He is a bit fumbly & disposal is a bit sloppy. Is it the haircut or are other teams targeting him ? Would love to see him back to his best.

That's probably the silliest comment ever posted. Maybe they can use that logic for acl injuries.

Eagles Draft Assistance?
Agree poor list management. Overspent on Kelly, paid too much to keep Nic Nat & his last years he struggled & overspent big bucks on keeping Darling & McGovern.

TRAINING: Wednesday 3rd April 2024
That's complete BS spin by the Club. Langdon "ticked all the boxes" after his rib injury yet he played with 2 sleeping bags wrapped around his chest & struggled for several games. Players like May are veterans & should be wrapped in cotton wool.

TRAINING: Wednesday 3rd April 2024
Just a very stupid idea to be considering rushing back a veteran like May. Petty clearly came back a week too early but luckily it didn't affect the result. Goodwin does this regularly - in 2022 rushing players not 100% or lacking match fitness ie Langdon & Salem & last year playing Gawn in the final with a sore toe. There is no need to do it.

Judd McVee no stinker
Love Judd's work but a word of advice from an old back pocket KEEP YOUR FEET , CORRAL YOUR OPPONENT & PLAY THE PERCENTAGES. He went for an extravagant spoil against Rioli on Saturday, missed & Rioli waltzed in for an easy goal. He did the same thing against Carlton in the finals last year.

CASEY: Rd 01 vs Box Hill
Come on PF these comments make no sense. It's actually quiet common & generally good for a young player's development to be moved around & played in different positions. There are hundreds of examples of this being a good development tool.

Great report Kev but what's with "McAdams" ?? Are there 2 of them ? Think Binman did the same thing.

The Rise and Fall of VFL Park
They expected that a train connection to VFL Park would be built but it never happened. The Dandenong line (& Gippsland connections) were all operating many years before the footy ground was built.

The Rise and Fall of VFL Park
Used to hitch-hike there from Dandenong. A beautiful large surface made to play fast open footy. Wish they'd kept it. Could have redeveloped the stands. Just needed to run a train line to it

Judd McVee no stinker
The BT seems to have variable standards. They love JMcV Tommo not so much. I thought he was ok. Last year he had a poor patch & should have gone back to Casey but they stuck fat. Not sure that is a good strategy in the long run.

Farewell Oscar McDonald
The problem with OM is that he was gifted lots of games before he was ready & was never developed properly. Our brains trust was annoyed with Lynden Dunn & dropped him for OM. If Oscar had spent 2 or more years at Casey learning his trade he would have been handy for us. In his early days he badly lacked the confidence that comes with experience.

Cam Zurhaar
Definitely a talent but reminds me of Col Sylvia - not team oriented & inconsistent.

CASEY: Practice Match vs Port Melbourne
Correct. Reminds me of Lucas Cook who was All Australian CHF at U18 level. If you trawl through Demonland posts you will find plenty of Lucas Cook fans insisting we play him.

POSTGAME: Opening Round vs Sydney
Dunno where you got that. The BOM site said humidity was 56% at 4.30 pm. And I am astounded at the excuses being made here. Melbourne has been just as hot as Sydney in the last month. It's not like we played in Darwin or Cairns. We were rubbish & supporters should stop looking for weasel excuses. It was dry & perfect for football.

POSTGAME: Opening Round vs Sydney
Posters have been whining about wet slippery conditions making all sorts of excuses for a pathetic effort. It was a warm night typical (24 or 25 deg) of Melbourne or Sydney in March with a 15-20k breeze blowing across the ground & bone dry. Not wet or slippery but great football conditions. We fumbled & slipped from the get go mainly due to our ineptness & Swans pressure not the conditions.
