I've lost hope & so have thousands of other supporters who will not sign up or attend games. Reminds me of 1976 when a late run saved Bob Skilton who should have been sacked but was kept on & wasted all of 1977. Jeez the Conga line of Goodwin acolytes & apologists is pretty resilient - reminds me of the Rev Jim Jones episode. FWIW my mates who have been members for 50+ years now refer to him as Goodie the 🤡

The problem is costing us in rebuild time and $$$. We are going backwards or marking time & among the supporters I know (50 or so) many have lost hope & won't attend games or upgrade memberships until Goodwin goes.

Of course Lyon had a talented list but you totally ignore the completely wasted years & failures under Goodwin. Goody arguably had the best defence, best midfield & best ruck in the league for 4 years. You also ignore the fact that the problems that surfaced in 2022 are still obvious in 2025. Goodies explanation is usually a half arsed joke about Choco working on our goal kicking.

Think you are stretching things a bit here FD. He had long arms like Robbie & was certainly a very good mark for his size but no way was he the best mark of his era.

The difference is Goodwin has wasted a very talented list. 1 Premiership when we should of had 2 or 3. 2017 was a disaster for the Club. 2019 & 2020 were totally wasted. Ditto 2022. 2023 he was unlucky.

That's (almost) balanced by the happy clappers claiming any criticism of the coach shows disloyalty to the Club and that the Coach bears no responsibility for the team's performance.

Judd is having a very average year. And had an absolute shocker against Rankine. Didn’t have a clue on how to play him & arguably cost us the game.

Being a true supporter includes making objective judgements about the performance of the coaches & the football department NOT endlessly clapping and cheering. This Club is not North Korea & Goodie is not the Dear Leader.

Good old Ghosty. Endless love & praise for Goody, Roffey & Perty. Everything is great, nothing to see here as the Team slowly sinks to the bottom & becomes a laughing stock. Reminds me of the Fitzroy die-hards in their last season.

Can't believe supporters are scraping the absolute bottom of the barrell. One half decent game in the seconds & now suggestions of a promotion. Great method to develop players.

It's embarrassing at any number of Demonlanders appear to be better list managers than our paid list managers. The fact that Laurie, Verrall, Henderson & Brown is obvious to everyone except the MFC list managers. PS - And Jeffo is less likely to succeed than Weid was.

JVR's disposal by hand & foot was appalling. Missed easy targets & turned it over on most occasions except for a couple of kicks.

Van Royen butchered almost every disposal today.

I'm not sure if you're Simon Goodwin posting in disguise or Simon's mum or Simon's best mate. Your line is that whatever happens it's not the coach's fault it's all the players fault. Maybe we shouldn't appoint a coach & the players coach themselves & we save $1M a year.

You can support Diversity focused leaders & I'll support competence focused leaders. And hopefully when I next have surgery the surgeon got their job based on their competency not their diversity identity.

Totally meaningless. St Kilda beat us with Butler as their main fwd. Pies won a flak with Mihocek, Elliot & Hill as their key fwds.

Another diversity obsessive - sounds like an ex MFC Pres - and didn't that end well. Here's a tip - most people care about competence not diversity. In fact I've seen a number of totally incompetent people who were appointed due to their diversity credentials screw things up.

A smart coach might try to rejuvenate him by playing him forwards or as a tagger or at centre bounces - won't hold my breath.

Demonlanders are eternally salivating over recruits who have achieved absolutely zero. It's a bit like Lasseter's Reef or praying to Mary Mackillop.

I don't have much confidence. In our recruiters. Bradke & Farris White were not even close to VFL standard players. I watched Farris White in a practice game & wondered what our recruiting team had been smoking.

Remember all the luvvies on Demonland telling us what a great job Roffey & Goodie were doing & canning the naysayers. It was all Woodstock & a modern day love in. The rot was clearly obvious from mid 2022 & let's not forget Goodie failed miserably in 2017, 2019 & 2020. He wasted a generation & presided over an era of gross underachievement.

So for example no poster who hasnt played as a fwd at a reasonably high level should post an opinion of whether Schache was up to scratch or maybe Lucas Cook or even Ben Brown. Come on get serious - after 3 years Verrall is still clueless against any decent VFL standard ruckman. He is a total bust. Barely better than Fullerton. Anyone with any nous can see that.

Oh yeah Goodie is an absolute genius with his selections & tough calls. He has rushed back unfit or underprepared players for the last 4 years. In fact it's almost become his trademark. And hasn't it worked out wonderfully well for us.

Don't think you have a clue - at all, seriously clueless with a capital C. Chandler is one of the few improvers this year. And one of the few who shows aggression when he attacks the footy. This despite being played way up the ground often in a semi tagging role. Chin would be leading the most improved in 2025.
