Would have no problem at all with Hird. He stuffed up & paid the penalty. He has a wealth of experience & knowledge. I believe in redemption but some 'landers clearly do not.

Loved Laurie Fowler, tough, fearless & consistent. Would have played more games but for dumb contract negotiations by the Club. Laurie & Stan Alves were both poorly treated by the Club's administration & it was detrimental to the team.

"greater internal issues" at 6 other Clubs you say. We had a drug suspension, a top player not attending pre season, legal action on 2 fronts then ended the season with our 2 best players seeking trades out. Not sure any of those 6 Clubs got close to our disasters.

Mike Sheahan is a pretty shallow interviewer. Why didn't he talk about Robbie's relationship with his coaches, practise match with Jacko, how he wouldn't shake hands with Rhys Jones & the big money offers by other clubs.

So what is the answer ?

A major disappointment. Was no better than good ordinary. His underground handballs were underwhelming.
