I was at that game as a 7 year old. I couldn't believe they played AFL footy at a place like that. The crowd were absolutely giving it to Jacko and he just kept giving them the bird. it was amazing.

This is a good thread. I think a lot of people have forgotten just how poor we were in 2013. To expect us to play 'consistent 4 quarter footy' every week is ludicrous - literally every team in the comp wishes they could do that. I expected us to win 8 at the start of the year with 6 a pass. I think we'll at least get my pass mark with a sneaky chance of grabbing a couple more. We've had some great wins and even the fact we could play badly and still win is a step in the right direction. Unless everyone on here is a teenager it really is remarkable how a bad loss can affect people's view of the whole season. And that could be unfair to teenagers!

It would've been nice to kick a higher score and it wasn't a game for the ages, but to keep a side to 4 goals is seriously good going.

I think I prefer the jumpers to be nice and simple and traditional.

I think Spencer was pretty good against the Blues and demonstrated a pleasing nasty streak.

Agree with the OP. Even against Hawthorn, when we got flogged, in the first quarter we were nasty and actually bullied them. And it's developed from there I reckon.

Agree completely with the OP. Have absolutely no interest in speculating about who we will pick up. Just want to win as many games as possible.

The folks predicting 35k-40k for this game are in la la land. 23k at the absolute maximum.

Agree. If anything, we fell into the trap of letting a Collingwood bloke sit 10 metres off the pack whilst we all piled in. They'd get a handball out and be away.

I just checked wyl - you are correct! In 18 Grand Finals we are 12 - 1 - 5. That's pretty good! And we've won 10 of our 12 flags against Essendon and Collingwood!

I thought it was 6 out of 8 Grand Finals. They won in 1958 and one of the ones when they won four in a row.
