  1. don't deserve to play finals if we don't win. West Coast are licking their lips. They know what's at stake more than us. They won't go quietly into the night like we seem to be doing
  2. Howe wouldn't want to be back at Melbourne now that Bucks has him playing as a forward.
  3. Goodwin is more inclined to base player selection on effort & pressure acts. Watts' tackle tally over the last 3 weeks has been 3, 3 & 2 respectively. Tom McDonald who has also been playing in the forward line had 8 tackles alone just last week. Also the 2nd and 3rd efforts are totally non-existent from Watts. (Unless you count flinging an arm out to tickle the oppositions knackers as a 2nd effort?) I'm not a Watts basher.. I love the guy and I know he is an extremely talented player. But has not brought the intensity and pressure Goodwin expects from his players. He needs to be made an example out of.
  4. As reported basically everywhere .. Watts will be omitted. Which is fair enough. As ordinary as Salem's game was last week.. Watts has been ordinary for the past 3 games. IMO it sends a bad message to Salem & Frost if Watts is constantly given the benefit of the doubt. OUT: Frost, Salem, Watts IN: Hannan, Brayshaw, Stretch Melbourne by 22 points.
  5. I'm SO GOD DAM SICK of hearing how our "young side" is starting to show signs of exhaustion after a long, hard, challenging season. While our soft supporters keep making these pathetic excuses.. Other "young" teams like Saints are beating the Eagles.. Blues are pushing possible finals bound sides in Essendon, Brisbane arguably the youngest side are pushing the Dogs to the very end.. and these sides mind you, have absolutely nothing to play for! As far as i'm concerned, Melbourne are ahead of the saints, blues, brisbane & all the other teams below us.. in all facets. Time to harden the F**K UP and just win .. NO MORE EXCUSES!
  6. Letting us take Lever is the least they can do for taking Scott Thompson off us all those years ago.
  7. i know most of the team had absolute mares yesterday.. but seriously .. Watts can gagf. his half assed attempts to win the footy then his non-existent second or third efforts just [censored] me right off. For a guy that had a break out year last year.. if any individual is drinking their own bath water .. it's him. F**KKKK!!!!!
  8. I don't think I've seen a team with more players playing above themselves than the dogs of 2016.
  9. Sounds like an attempt to keep Oliver in the spotlight for longer. If West Coast spent half as much time and effort focusing on how to win interstate games of footy, they could finally shake their 'flat track bullies' tag.
  10. If we can bring the same intensity for 4 quarters against the Eagles, especially starting in the midfield then I'm hopeful. However I worry about the size of the ground. I think Eagles could really hurt us on the rebound. We play Etihad and Adelaide oval so well as they are both quite skinny grounds in comparison, allows our zone defense to shift to either wing quickly. The Dogs just could not open us up on the rebound. Whereas Collingwood, last week were getting a lot more space around the ground.
  11. I did see a poll created on the Collingwood Big Footy forums.. Maybe PD was referring to that?
  12. and can we take a F**KN contested mark FFS !!!!!!
  13. we can't defend the G .. its as simple as that. they have far too much space when they move it forward. The big ground is killing us
  14. Sorry... that's probably my fault.. as he lined up for his first goal last week I was very confident as he had been a fairly reliable set shot in the past & i did the unthinkable & said "it's all good! Buggy doesn't miss" .. since then .. 0 & 7.. my bad.
  15. Why the f*** are we always made an example out of !? I'm sure there has been similar incidents this year with no suspensions.
  16. Watts for me as a tall forward just doesn't cut it .. He seems to have lost the ability to mark overhead and his second efforts don't show enough urgency. Goodwin wants us to be a tough team and Watts unfortunately is the complete opposite. However I do think GC's midfield stocks next year might be left a little bare.. obviously Prestia and O'Meara this year and I can't see Ablett there next year. Tyson fits that bill as he is more of an extractor, which we're in abundance of. IMO we don't REALLY need him. As Juzzk1d said above.. Out: Tyson, 2nd round In: May, 3rd. I'd do that in a heartbeat.
  17. I agree with this.. Players that potentially have currency that I would consider trading.. Tyson, Watts and Kent.
  18. Wagner can have a one on one with him .. Needs all the extra help he can get. That missed 2 meter handball backwards was inexcusable.
