The Incredible Hulk - Jesse Hogan
Understandably there will be some people rushing to Hogan's defense. However I tend to agree with Dr. D – Hogan has been very poor for at least a month now. (if he's carrying an injury then simply DO NOT play him) otherwise assuming he's at full fitness, his current form is simply not good enough to warrant a spot in our side. If we are to ever go deep in September, we need 22 players to be playing their role. No i'm not saying hogan needs to be kicking bags of goals every week. I'm saying similar to guys like Reiwoldt, if Hogan is not kicking goals we need him to be doing the things that go unnoticed. The 1 percenters. Tackling, running and putting the opposition under pressure. Bringing the ball to ground if he can't take a mark then going hard at the next contest, then the next and the next. I rarely if EVER see a second or god forbid a third effort from Hogan. And like I said, if he can't get to the contests through injury he simply shouldn't be playing, and like Dr. D says, play someone who will compete and that is Pederson.

GAMEDAY - Round 19
This game has an uncanny resemblance to the last game against collingwood in 2017. Playing for our season & playing like a bunch of [censored]. Look like we’ve shat our pants... missed tackles, missed handballs, dropped marks, poor disposals.. The only reason we’re in this is cause adelaide are playing very poorly.

New CEO - Gary Pert
announced 14th June, but the club knew about it prior to the Collingwood game. I guess its just coincidence too that since Essendon sacked Mark Neeld their form has completely done a backflip ? .. Anyway.. like i said.. time will tell.

New CEO - Gary Pert
THIS .. We have lost all 3 games since he was made CEO. I have heard that internal people have serious issues with Gary Pert. Apparently Peter Jackson had no say in who was going to be our next CEO combined with Josh Mahoney being completely overlooked has seriously ruffled the feathers. I have a really uneasy feeling about how this might start to open up old wounds. I really hope I'm wrong and this isn't true – but time will tell.

Changes v Port
id be tempted to throw Vince in the middle and tag wines out of the game. Out: Pedo, Hannan In: Frost, Garlett (Frost to play forward as seen in training this week) We've matched up very well on Port in the past and also play Adelaide oval very well. It's narrow ground is similar to Etihad, which suits us to a T. Melbourne by 42 points. Go Dees!

Peter Wright
I agree with the OP – Peter Wright would be a very handy acquisition. Not only as back-up if Gawn goes down.. But atm he immediately replaces Pedo and rotates more frequently with Gawn in the ruck. His height, great hands and booming kick are exactly what we need - we don't really have any players, maybe other than Melksham and Bernie who can kick goals from outside 50. The only question mark I have is his defensive mindset and endurance.. But still has tonnes of improvement as he's still only 21. I also think considering he's struggling to get games for GC we could get him for reasonably cheap. We are always complaining about our backup ruck stocks.. So why not?

Wines Unsure of Contract
your forgetting that one really important factor..

What is Petracca's Position?
Whilst Trac has done some amazing things at times and he may well be playing his role perfectly .. I still think all this media hype at how much of a star he is .. is totally unfounded. Don't get me wrong.. he certainly has incredible talent and could be anything as a player.. But it feels as though he hasn't had a BOG performance yet. Once he taps into his full potential on a weekly basis .. LOOK THE [censored] OUT

Wines Unsure of Contract
Did that come from the same goose who said we were making a play for Zac Dawson back in the day..

Andrew Gaff
Dom and our 2nd round pick (pick 36) for Carlton's early 2nd round pick (pick 19) ? Great way to free up some salary cap space, let Taylor work his magic on pick 19 and then get Gaff.

AFL 360 (30/5) - Riewoldt and Murphy
Maybe .. just maybe we are playing so well that we aren't allowing the opposition to get a handle on the game. Our hands in traffic are incredibly quick, we're moving the ball so efficiently in and out of the contest. Our mids are putting immense pressure on the opposition ball carrier when we don't have the footy, causing turnovers etc. Then when we win the footy, we are spreading so well it doesn't really allow the opposition to shut us down. Even in our losses against Geelong, Richmond and Hawks we have been getting a heap of inside 50's .. the difference now is that we are converting those so much more effectively into scores.

The Curnow Brothers at the Tribunal
Hmm possibly .. surely at least Ed's case has to be over-turned and given a week. The disgruntled coaches & media have made plenty of waves calling out the inconsistencies.. Would've thought the AFL would need to make a statement now that they've acknowledged they're not happy with the findings.

AFL officially appealing both Curnows' decision.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Howe wouldn't want to be back at Melbourne now that Bucks has him playing as a forward.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Letting us take Lever is the least they can do for taking Scott Thompson off us all those years ago.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
Watts for me as a tall forward just doesn't cut it .. He seems to have lost the ability to mark overhead and his second efforts don't show enough urgency. Goodwin wants us to be a tough team and Watts unfortunately is the complete opposite. However I do think GC's midfield stocks next year might be left a little bare.. obviously Prestia and O'Meara this year and I can't see Ablett there next year. Tyson fits that bill as he is more of an extractor, which we're in abundance of. IMO we don't REALLY need him. As Juzzk1d said above.. Out: Tyson, 2nd round In: May, 3rd. I'd do that in a heartbeat.
