Funnily enough I think Dixon will be doing the opposite. Getting angry and frustrated at Watt's inability to pull the trigger sooner with his passing, as the space around Dixon gets filled by defenders. This is certainly something I'm not going to miss.

I have had mail today from a reliable source on the situation.. Watts was initially told some hard truths in his exit meeting, which he did not agree with. The club (which we know) asked him to explore his options if he was not willing to change his habits. Watts was filthy initially but has not nominated a club of choice because he’s not sure he wants to go. The club is now believing he is a 60/40 chance to stay. If he does go, it won’t be for nothing.

Rance is a pretender. As are the entire Richmond side bar Martin.

Port apparently have already offered Watts a very good deal over 3 years. I think its almost certain he will be going there.

We've already had 100 pages worth of wrist slitting .. It's time to accept the reality, back in the coach, club and get excited about what our club is capable of achieving next year. With or without watts, we will be a stronger unit come round 1 next year. -- Who knows, maybe Ken Hinkley can get the best out of Watts, as he did Toumpas.

According to Watts; "It’s hard to leave nine years of friendship and a place you have spent nine years of your life." IMO, Watts is content with his current place of employment. He has a secure 2 years worth of income along with a new Women's range of bathers being rolled out next year. Why would he want to leave? He would be leaving his comfort zone. Lets be honest.. With everything that Goody has said. The writing is on the wall – But I don't think Watts is prepared to give up his lifestyle. If he stays.. Time will tell whether he pulls out his finger or not and it's all speculation until then. But just like the way he plays, the way he talks, does not instill any confidence.

More I think about it .. the more I wouldn't mind this scenario. Goody most likely will want to emulate the small pressure forward blueprint .. and a forward line of Rohan, Garlett and Hannan would be a good mix. All can take a mark, great goal sense and can lay a tackle. – Pending we get Lever, TMac & Hogan forward, with those 3 blokes at their feet makes for a pretty exciting forward set up.

Don’t be surprised if Paul Roos is secretly attempting to increase the value of Watts by making those statements. Roosy of all people knows the club is bigger than any one individual & he loves the dees. He will want us coming out on top from this trade. & this is a really sneaky way to help our cause.

I have a solution for his lack of effort .. What if the AFL were to allow Watts to wear his board shorts whilst playing.. he might make more of an effort to win the footy & get himself on camera.

Even if we traded him for peanuts .. it won't affect our results on field. Chances, are that he would most likely be lining up for Casey most of next year anyway .. Its what we do with those peanuts and picks during trade period that will determine our improvement and success next year.
