Never thought I would see Pedo applauded off the ground by the Demon faithful. ( unless it was a Morton type applause).
-
Totally sick of Watts's efforts. He has been in my favourites list since joining Demonland, he is now gone. Replaced by players who are willing to put their bodies on the line.

I wish Mitch all the best, these are hard times for him and his family. Those on here who underestimate the effects of clinical depression have obviously never been closely involved with someone suffering. It is an illness that can be as debilitating if not more so than a physical illness. Get well soon Mitch.

I'm not sure they're showing great respect for Roos either. Certainly not showing any respect for the jumper on field.

Interest Factor in football these days almost dead
Mgdee replied to Soidee's topic in Melbourne Demons
My memory of Robert Flower always has him as the best footballer I ever saw, sometimes memories exaggerate the facts. After rewatching these clips I am convinced my mind hasn't exaggerated anything. I am also convinced that without injuries Schwarza could have been better than Carey. -
Maybe the saviour is just another craven image.

DEVIL OF A TIME - Match Preview and Team Selection
Mgdee replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Until we clear out most of the players from 2011 & 2012 and install players who want to play AFL football rather than just collect a pay cheque this team is going nowhere. Even Roos will be killed by these players, he will take his 2 year contract and leave. -
Walking away from your normal routine can sometimes be the worst thing to do when depressed. It may even be better for Mitch long term to continue with the club in some capacity so that he can overcome his problems. The worst thing to do sometimes is to walk away, this can give someone another reason to believe they are a failure. I just hope for Mitch's sake he takes the best course of action for himself and doesn't take an option that is shortsighted and is detrimental to his recovery. All the best Mitch.

I'll probably be dead by then if we continue with the current list. Roos could very well be this group of players biggest scalp when they manage to get him the sack.

Saw Jessie Hogan walking up the hill next to the Botanic Gardens all alone, not looking very happy. Are we trying to dishearten this kid or what? Surely we could have a trainer or someone with him giving him support and company. It's almost like we want him to return to WA.

The continuing saga of Melbourne's injury list - 2014
Mgdee replied to alpha33's topic in Melbourne Demons
What excuse for losing by 100 points will we be able to use once most of our tall players are back -
Hope he's careful with his positional changes or we will be fined again. Don't mention the T word.

How do you shuffle deck chairs when the ship is already on the seabed and sinking into the sand.

With the priority pick we deserve we should have #1, #2 and #3

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
Mgdee replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
Another week on the "good stuff" and Essendon would have won that easy. -
I didn't think that through did I hardtack. In the U.S. Don't they have clubs for that type of person.
-
How about with the Melbourne players making a virgin sacrifice to try and appease him .
-
Put whoever's fit on the banner. Should be plenty of room for all of them.

Another Dawes report???

Not at all. I agree entirely with the coaching staff requiring that all players can perform for the whole of a game. I am sure when completely fit Kent will get his chance as will other players gaining fitness at Casey.
-
Played at Casey on the weekend. I would say that the coaching staff believe he needs more match fitness before a seniors berth. Seems fitness and match practise are a prerequisite of playing in the seniors this year.
-
Out at Casey yesterday the only players who looked ready and match fit were Gawn and Blease. Salem looked good in patches but needs more development. The rest looked like they needed more game time to be match ready.
