  1. It's probably not you 'Robbie', the spell checker/auto whatever on here does some very weerd things at times.
  2. I don't feel it (most of the time) but I guess I'm getting there. I did the speaking course with Geoff when I think he had moved off his on air positions, his partner in crime Don Kinsey (also an old radio man from 3DB) was heavily involved in running the Children's Hospital appeal. I've heard it with a few presenters/interviewers lately. As I say Geoff would be turning in his grave but it seems like it might be a thing, a bit like in language where we now have "learnings" and we "versus" a team. Not a big fan... Edit: Sorry Thomas for derailing your thread, I think you will be a great acquisition to the club both on and off field. Looking forward to following your career.
  3. It would kill it if it split but the way the AFL deal with it now is a slow death anyway. They want to get women involved in the game on the cheap. Time to treat it right.
  4. Hassa was my favourite player as a kid growing up...a true Melbourne legend.
  5. We need it 'Red'...in fact why wait for the AGM unless they have other stuff they want to cover up on the night.
  6. No, his father Geoff was the voice of the ABC for many a year. ...before your time I'm guessing. edit: He used to run a public speaking course with Don Kinsey...one of his big no no's was the upward inflection at the end of a sentence. Said something along the lines of people can't take you seriously when you sound like an overly excited teenager.
  7. You're spot on 'No.31"...I know they have to fill space to keep the AFL machine rolling but there is a lot to be said for space over waffle.
  8. Geoff McComas wouldn't approve...
  9. Do you know why he dropped to the rookie draft 'dazz'? what are the knocks on him?
  10. It doesn't make him brilliant...just promising. ...and drafting Laurie before him doesn't make him one.
  11. I'll give you Cameron but Neale is hardly a brilliant key forward...
  12. Nothing bad 'Ghostwriter', just enough to derail their season will be fine by me....
  13. A bad run with injury in season 2026 would be good...
  14. We will know in the next couple of years whether this was an inspired selection or a bust. ...a case premature conclusion from you 'purple'.
  15. Tom Stewart 190 cm...5 x AA.
  16. It more likely shows us that we don't think they are that good...
  17. If they want to do a free show make it big....open up the bowl. Fed Square is too small if they are already selling out the bowl. The town needs another 200k show, featuring an Aussie band.
  18. He really is an exceptional speaker...
  19. Here they come 'Clint'
  20. ...and we're beating the umpires.
  21. Hanksy really needs to lift...
  22. Never comfortable with the lack of composure in defence. Kate pushing back steadied the ship but we need 3 of her, mid, forward and back...
  23. A few are going to have to step up today. Hanks was down by her high standards last week. Bannon was a bit more involved but really needs to get back to her best. ...and we need 4 Q's from Harris. Work to her strengths & let her loose. We get that and we're well in the frame.
