  1. I'm not knocking Maynard but am critical of the selection. I think he needs more time to round out his game at Casey. Sunday came and the proof was there to see...
  2. Demons - Too many missing
  3. No, it's the same cultural problem. Win at all costs...combined with our guys would never cheat....and if caught use as many weasel words as you can fit in a sentence. This was not a one off, it's systematic in Australian sport and society. News....Australians are as good at cheating as anyone else. It was almost condoned in the EFC situation. It's par for course in politics. This comes from the top down...Coaches and Captain sacked for me if we are serious. I bet they get smashed with all the force of a wet lettuce leaf. My trust in top line sport is at an all time low and it's not too high to start with.
  4. Sounds like a little bit of grandstanding from 'sat' really. A bit of stirring the pot...
  5. Perhaps 'joeboy' has joined the match committee... That's all I've got.
  6. Maybe it's the camera angle but he cuts a lonely figure sitting up there in the box. ...and they say misery loves company. I like Buckley (can't stand his team) but his body language has loser written all over it.
  7. Frost may have the build (muscle) but he doesn't have the footy smarts to use it unfortunately. He's often out positioned in marking contests by smarter footballers. His build is worth Jack if he can't use it to advantage...
  8. I'm looking at the JLT (and AFLX for what it's worth) games 'Sat'...I don't think he did enough to justify selection. ...but as I say, Sunday will be the judge.
  9. Long bow there 'steve'... ..but I do question the Tyson decision and also the reasoning behind it. Maynard hasn't shown enough at senior level to justify his selection, disposal very iffy and runs to wrong positions. Sunday I guess will be the judge.
  10. 6 disposals 2 goals in a losing team. Weideman in his debut game had 13 disposals 2 goals, was hampered by a corked thigh in the second half and we won... Now let me think a bit before I write a mindless statement. Yep, I got it... Weideman looked good and made an impact.
  11. Speaking of the cricket we are 3 for 79 chasing 311...Smith out for 5 Warner 30.
  12. Pannell & Nichols are right up there... So far it looks like we don't get Razor or Pannell...please not Nicholls (just looked it up, he's got the Hawks)...
  13. I hope he has a good start to the year as we are going to need him with Tommy Mac going down. I don't have the faith in Pedders that others have. I think he is a good running ruck but struggles as a key forward. A lot will rest on Trac, Hannan and Fritsch to cover the loss of McDonald.
  14. Looks like a big swag of posts have gone missing... ...Have "Cambridge Analytica" been on the case
  15. I'm not sure if blame is the word but the FD must take some responsibility... Playing an important player coming back from ankle surgery in the off season in the AFLX was not smart. Tom was in rehab earlier in the preseason and came to the main group late. It was a dumb move playing him. ...not to mention that the AFLX game is one that Tom is not suited to. There was nothing to be gained by playing him.
  16. Not so sure about that...I remember a few years back when him & Bennell cut us to pieces.
  17. Ablett would take him to the cleaners, apart from anything else he's still too fast for Bugg.
  18. The club still expects him (Oliver) to play, but sources have indicated it is too early in the week to categorically lock him in. Chinese whispers strike again...no likely there as far as I can see. As I read it... "Oliver not categorically locked in."
  19. Would love Gilmour to do a version... ...gotta be better than the Barry Crocker version we've had for the last 40 years.
  20. So much for the knock on the knee as reported earlier...my reading of anatomy is the upper thigh wouldn't be bandaged if it was a knee. Despite the Gawn talk by our esteemed footy media I actually think Oliver is our most important player and would be a big loss if out.
  21. I wouldn't think so... I think we have one of the hardest lists in the AFL now, I don't think any club would find us to be bruise free with the likes of Viney, Oliver, Vince, Lewis, Jetta, Hibberd, Petracca, Harmes, Lever and more on the list. No, I think you are way off the mark.
  22. No, the players weren't concerned about lack of sleep or a couple of little injuries.. I know it doesn't suit your narrative but the issue was lack of qualified MFC support staff at the camp to look after injured players. My understanding is everything was left in the hands of the people running the camp...not how you look after your major asset I would have thought. The 1st camp was not well organised and players lost trust. We move on. Lets hope everyone learned from this, players, coaches, administrators...the proof will be in the seasons ahead.
  23. Time to move on to another pub 'america de cali'... Must be getting bored with the Shamrock by now.
  24. They just about have been and this list is out of date...
