Dylan Shiel
I don't rate Shiel as highly as others and definitely don't at the money he's asking... Way overs.

Jayden Hunt
I don't know that many are writing Hunt off but he is an entirely different player to Gaff. Apart from his at times haphazard ball use Hunt doesn't get a lot of it, he doesn't naturally find the ball and that's probably Gaff's biggest asset (along with the tank to get the job done). Hunt can be a line breaker and at his best also uses his pace to put a lot of pressure on the opposition. He had a manic attack that was missing this year. Get that back & he's on his way.

The bidding will go a lot higher on Shiel... ...by the time this trade period is up he will be up around the $1mill which is way overs for his output.

Michael Barlow
If we were looking to go down that path I think we would have kept Bernie on the list 'Lord'... Our list will have a different look at the end of this trade period and at present I don't see a role for Barlow with us. You would have thought GCS the ideal club for him.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KADE KOLODJASHNIJ
Hogan is gone. Seems it was going to happen at some stage. As for the what our priorities are, KD is one. Frost is not the long term answer and Oscar is limited. Looking to fix this weakness doesn't mean we aren't looking to fix others. ...and May might not even want to come to us or GC might want too much. We might have other irons in the fire that no one knows about yet. Some results papered over our weak defence, others showed it up. It is a real problem area and most of our fans are on the edge of their seats when the ball goes into to our defensive 50...

Demonland Thanks for Season 2018
Big thanks to the Demonland crew. The platform you put up for us is invaluable. Some really good solid info & opinions, some not so good and still plenty of room for a good old argument. It's been a great season so lets all look forward to even better ahead.

Go back and have a look at the WC prelim and you might work it out...

Winning the Trade & Free Agency Period?
Sorry 'A F', not with you on this one. It was a typical Carlton thing to do, looking for the next messiah (one we used to fall for). Carlton patched up some holes, WC go on to win a flag. I know which shoes I'd rather be in. All spoils go to the victor...where are Carlton now?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
You would be one of very few 'deanox'. To me it's a huge problem, if we can get it sorted and add a bit of silk we are set.

...and just maybe after yesterday winning a premiership takes a precedent over money or the desire to be an inside mid.

2018 Premiership ramifications
Liam Ryan on multiple occasions...

Bailey Smith
Haven't seen him play a minute but if he is more outside in junior footy then I wouldn't touch him. The draft is littered with great junior outside mids who don't make it in the big time. We know better that most...Morton, Toumpas to name a couple that come to mind.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I know it won't be a popular call but I would prefer Cerra. Huge upside, complete package. Won't cost as much at the moment and could form part of the Hogan trade. Love his overhead marking which makes him more dangerous in my humble opinion. Get in his ear and convince Freo that he wants back home after his next contract.

Aaron vandenBerg not going - signs a new deal!!!
That's why the list turnover 'big'...it was time to move a few on.

Who did the Pies beat to secure top 4?
All that really matters is that they're there. They win today then they've beaten the top 2 teams (after home & away) in consecutive weeks & would be worthy winners.

JKH signs on for another year
He looked gone for all money early in the year but really turned it around. All credit to him...

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Nah...' @Mach5' mail is usually pretty good... He doesn't play that game. If he can't say more then that's fair enough by me. You lose a good source if you burn them. We get some great info on here if you know who to look for and on what subjects.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
On things WA trust 'Pennant'...I'm sure it's more than just a few late nights.

Winning the Trade & Free Agency Period?
I expected them to not make the 8 so their 3 big recruits performed exactly as I expected them to. For a front running team to add 2 more front runners plus another problem child to their list seemed a dumb strategy from the outset.

Aaron vandenBerg not going - signs a new deal!!!
I think 4 to 5 may be too many 'Red', there is some good analysis on this. Longer term it might be ok but could push us back a bit in 2019. Port went through big changes this year and struggled, admittedly the quality wasn't what it could be. Collingwood a couple of years back were in the same boat, they stabilised this year and are getting a result. WC have been very stable for a while with minimal player movement. The Tigers have stabilised after a period of instability.

Aaron vandenBerg not going - signs a new deal!!!
I agree but it's probably more to do with stability in our best 22. So far apart from Hogan being mentioned we don't look like losing those players. Love Vanders but he's fringe best 22, Kent hasn't played a lot and the others were past their use by. I'm not sure that cleaning out the bottom half of the list will have a lot of effect on team chemistry. Adding more than 2 or 3 to the top half of the list could cause problems.
