Cant believe i have to say this but my comment was meant to be a sarcastic rebuke against people who seem to enjoy seeing the failing development of our young high draft picks such as cook (as well as gysberts and others) I personally am one who is flying the flag for cook specifically in opposition of those calling for his immediate delisting...the club recruited him as a rake knowing that he would need time to bulk up and while its a new fd in charge now i think it would be a waste to deny him that time now. Sorry to sidetrack the thread, back to the main point Petropolous was named in the best again, does he roam up the ground or stay inside 50 and as much info on tynan as possible would be appreciated. think that kid could be as good of a pick up from the 50s a T Mc. Cheers for all info KC, they should have you on the mfc.com payroll

You have an opinion regarding taggert but not tynan or davis? Genuinely interested in your logic

So obviously you have no idea what the surgery was aimed at fixing, why then did you feel the need to post at all? Perhaps its because your ego is bigger than... -
Pull your head in mate. My question is as valid as any other, not sure why you singled out my post and not the numerous ones requesting the names of goal kickers, the names of who are guarenteed to be posted on a multitude of websites where lesser named players specific starting positions/roles may not. I thank kc for his updates and he is free to answer or not at HIS leisure

Tynan line up as a fwd or mid?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JIMMY TOUMPAS

ooo big man trying to be clever...simple question, didn't require a smart alec response. The reason i ask is because that article only mentioned the rehab and not what the actual injury was...general sireness doesn't usually require surgery and 3month rehab. Was asking if anyone knew what the actual issue was as much as anything, whether something fairly common like OP or something more serious. -

RECRUITING LESSONS FROM THE PAST: ENDING PURGATORY?
rolly replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Its not all doom and gloom. In 2004 Hawthorn had three first round picks; enter Roughy, Buddy and Lewis. Sydney did it with 14, 38 and 55 ... proof that getting one draft right can turn it all around. As important as Neeld and Misson are, by god I hope Viney doesn't try to get fancy with our first round picks. -
Gysberts specifically has not had enough of a chance to string multiple bad games together to warrant delisting... Agree that sylvia has a lot to atone for but would like to see what a hard taskmaster could get out if him...one of baileys massive crimes was not instilling the school children he coached with any work ethic or dismcipline
-
Small forward, midfielder type at Casey. Kicked some nice goals, made plenty of tackles and seems hungry for the ball...all of this garnered from youtube highlights. Anyone know how he goes about on a regular basis and or if he would be worth rookieing

Moloney deserves at least a 1year deal...1 year to prove that as reigning bnf that this year ws an anomoly...1 year to bust a gut over preseason and show the new crop that nothing is guarenteed in this sport even after near a decade of loyal service...1 year to prove that he has wrapped his head around the neeld philosophies i think that he has earnt it and for all who say mfc needs a culture change i think the club needs it. We need to show that we're not the same fd that shafted jnr and that being a good clubman still means something
-
Would still rather have him on our list rather than trade him for a late 2nd rnd or eaely 3rd so that we can draft another rohan bail...
-
Listening to neeld interview in triple m prematch was interesting. basically said that injury interupted preseason (calf) followed by the back fracture against port hirt his start to the year but is now pleased with how he's tracking. Neeld identified the north game when he had a shite first half but turned it around in tbe second as a good sign. "historically if col has a quiet first half his second wont improve but in that north game he was able to reinject himself into the game and hurt them with his disposal" earlier in the year i thought he would go (tho i think he should stay) but neeld seems to be coming around and so does sylvia...unfortunately he is ine of maybe half a dozen that would get a run at another club which may mean we see the back of him. Losing him would be a waste and i think the reason peoplewant him gone so bad is because they are frustrated at wasted potential. I think the school teacher in neeld will be able to get him to realise this potential and he could well become our answer to daisy thomas

100% agree...MFC has a massive chance to show that we are a club that keeps its word and looks after its own, especially since this is a new fd regime than the one which forced out jnr and lost us bruce. It was the dees who made the mistake by trying to make a feelgood media piece out of signing a 15year old therby exposing us to sheedy's madness. We made the call now we must pay the piper albeit it at a potentially higher cost than we necessarily should
-
I think bail could attract some value, if only coupled with one of our picks for a better pick
-
Even the article refers to him as slightly built
-
Well if gysberts is going to turn into our jobe watson then why not...all we have until march next year is dreams
-
It was meant to refer to playing style as much as physical stature... Its the sledgehammer vs rapier argument...be nice if there was room for both now that green is gone and watts seems to be thriving down back
-
do you want fraser gherig or do you want nick riewaldt
-
There will probably be 7-12 trade/ delists...usual suspects in dunn, morton, bate et al however i have the feeling bennell might get one last go Trade in 1 or 2 mid 20s prob a mid and a small fwd i can see us taking max 4 kids through national draft Top up the rookie list with 3-4 vfl standouts And a what ever is available in the PSD
-
Out dunn bail In davis couch re morton: watched the casey game on tv...the kid just REFUSES to put his body on the line. He does some very nice things when he gets the ball with time and space but wont put in the effort to get the pill himself
-
Charlie Dixon would top my list of that lot...would probably cost a lot due to possible rival bids. He has the right combination of aggression, work ethic and talent to suggest that he will become a genuine talent, just a matter of how whether the price would be reasonable. Anybody know the status of Tom Lynch (Gold Coast)? Really impressed with his off the ball work as well as the more obvious stuff.
