Would like to see Bate, Sellar and Gysberts play out the season. Tappy and Strauss are definites for next year would like to see fringe players given the chance to play for their spots.
-
dont know why you wasted your time then especially given the.title.of the thread
-
If noone bids then gws dont get to keep the kids and they just have to wait a year to go into the draft with everyone else? Would love it if 17 clubs had the stones to say 'you've had enough top draft picks we'll wait a year and see how things pan out'
-
Dont care how early or premature this is but this is the dare to dream forum, FB: Frawley Mcdonald Tapscott HB: Toumpas Sellar Tynan C: Grimes Mckenzie Taggert HF: Blease Watts Trengove FF: Howe Clark Jurrah R: Jamar Viney Jones Int: Gysberts Nicholson Garland Sylvia (sub) starting to look like a bit of a blend between vetrens like jamar and jones with draftees i also see a midfielder on every line optimistic having sellar and watts where they are but it is where they'll need to be for the club to move forward also avoided too much draft/trade speculatiin (viney is a given and would be surprised if we dont get toumpas)

There really arent more yhan 2or3 fa that look that good who would be willing to join us much more interested in next years list and hopefully some on field success and we might be able to lure someone we actually want rather than just getting experience for the sake of it

Don't see the wraps on caddy...will be a serviceable mid but not worth the overs to be asked don't see the wraps on cloke...good contested mark, woeful set shot and is obviously not a team player (on or off field) and not worth the overs to be asked. And as for Gumbleton ... well I haven't really seen him play more than a handful of games, ever. Would rather gamble on drafting quick mids at the top and maybe some rebounders at the back end

and what if pavlich were available? Up until recently (approx halfway through this season) he didn't necessarily have a 'defined position' but i know i would pay AT LEAST 700k for him

Joel Macdonald & Lynden Dunn Saved their Careers

Just watched 'the coaches office' and it sounds like neeld is happy with the work dunn has done...er achieved since going to the backline and believes his prep work is 'first rate' so he is a good chance to stay. No mention of j mac -
I would liken him to daniel merrit...and i dont think there would have been too many complaints had we got merrit with a pick 50ish
-
We dont need caddy...toumpas 3 kennedy 4 stringer 13 viney 20ish
-
a morton may never play again full stop...jarrod gone from hawks, mitch isnt setting the world on fire in sydney and with a bit of luck cale gone from our list
-
and we wouldnt have to play goddard accross half back... He would probably be used most effectively as a link up high forward/ wing he is a strong contested/ lead up mark and a scything kick into the forward line Theee is a reason mckenzie tags him regularly
-
wish someone would teach 80% of the team to kick...doing sprints and laps will help you get to contests but you have to be able to do something effective with it once you have it
-
Considering its at crown i dare say any posts in the coming hours would be barely readable and would probably be complaining about lost money lol do look forward to reports come the morning...maybe afternoon
-
Does the minidraft occur before or after the father son nominations?
-
Clark taggert bartram and gawn at least went down early in the sesson so they should be right for 2013pre season
-
russian resigned for 3 years, current leadership group member...will play out his contract or retire before being traded afterwhich he will probably join the club as part of the fitness staff (has his own pt company)
-
Would like to see him stay. let him and tmac take the key forwards and let frawley become our harry o/ jed adcock/ grant birchall
-
Really like the sound of kennedy if the reports are accurate

Harley benell last year [censored] harley benell this year exceptional the difference? imo its because he moved in with k hunt say what you will about hunts footy ability he is a proven sporting warrior while it may be a [censored] sport have a look at the way he would return kicks from full back as a bronco as a moroon and as a kangaroo...100miles an hour directly at the opposition daring them to get in his wsy. the 120kg props dont have the same intensity and will often slow their run before the line hunt is seriously dedicated to his profession and this is the type we should be looking for through FA The club is short of senior leaders and need to be taught off field as much as on and for that reason i am hoping the club in question is melbourne. Buy cloke we get goals for 5 years from 1player get a goddard, foley or hayes and they will teach the kids ti become teachers and success will breed success

Not too long ago i was in the keep moloney camp but if a team makes a serious offer then the club should let him walk. His greatest value to us at the moment is what we would get for his leaving. The flip side is who in the midfield is over 25 if he goes...would love a bit more info on the formula used to determine the compo picks given for fa losses
-
Never thought i would see someone who makes cale morton look big but whitfield certainly aint a tank If moloney leaves and we pick up a 2nd round compo pick (reigning bnf, good $$, long service) i like the sound of jacob bollard as someone who can give us some drive off half back freeing blease to play mid/fwd full time and push nicholson up to a wing
-
Since mids and goal sneaks should be draft priorities with a tall forward hopefully coming via trade who looks most likely of these lot for picks 4/13 considering everyone is sold on toumpass 3? First or second hand info would be awesome, we can all type names into big footy. http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/143899/default.aspx also, anybody else think that nathan stark is a dead ringer for michael cera?
-
Since this is a 'super draft' and the general consensus is that the top 20 is stocked with really talented midfielders would we mot be better off using our pick 13 on a mayes/o rourke/stringer and then backing our apparently bona fide fitness guru get them into shape. This new fd is charged with restarting club culture from basically scratch, would love it if we became a club known for taking raw talent and developing it in house rather than shopping around. Caddy is just looking to transfer to a zip code rather than our club, and a draftee may well show more loyalty and passion in the vein of jordie mckenzie
