The players we have ARE fools remember?Remember 186 and the roller-coaster of Baileys all out attack plan? The Bailey style meant we would get hammered if we didn't get first use of the ball. Tackling ,chasing , shepherding and close marking were optional then. Now the basics are mandatory and the players have lost the ability to create play because the first thought is about manning up . The differences will come as come a we start winning 8+ one on one contests around the ground. Clark and Frawley , Jones and Howe are about the only contests of the 18 on the ground that we are winning .

To be fair I think he has the right to get his market value and reward like any other pro .He is a good clubman and probably deserves a bit more love from the fans as he is one himself .He's not perfect either but he is definitely trying .

What a shame our "supporters" blame the draft and blame the wrong guys .Petterd can play-he has proved it.

Last nights game was one of the ugliest games ever played in wet or dry . I really cant see to many victories this year . Is there any point in having a runner that cant kick? Bail , Morton and Bennell were useless or worse. Meanwhile Watts and Jurrah are in the 2's. I'm having a break-time to go skiing .

That's the perceived problem with Jack Watts in a nutshell.Nobody will let him play his own game because they all think he could be anything. Eventually ,he will be a 250 plus game player and hopefully ,a very successful one. He will be a forward one day but currently he can play "anywhere on the park" so that's how he's been used. We haven't exactly had the luxury of plopping him in the forward pocket for a few hangers and goals.

A peanut in the hand is worth a handful of peanuts in the draft . Beamer kept this club on the park last year. To betray either of these guys as they are peaking in their careers would sh!t me to tears. I just cant go through seeing guys in their teens to early twenties again. Pay them what they are worth in the market and hope they are over their crap and let the coach have some decent bloody players instead of trying to pluck it out of high schools . FFS-lets not [censored] about their boozy nights in the past . Clean Slate and all that. Thing is they can both play. Other thing is they are nearing their peak .

I think those types of thing prolong careers . Unfinished business and all that .
