Goes to show how much credence I gave the whole affair. Onwards and upwards. Not sideways. Like I said, nothing journo, from a nothing paper. I read things that are pertinent to the club, not hyperbole from a bitter hack.
-
Got to be honest, I haven't read the article. But that's hardly a shock lol. Go Dees!!

Thank you. And if you are being sarcastic you should get a little more confidence about you. It's very liberating being solely focused on how you do what you do
-
It does sap your energy though, that's not a furphy- that's cold hard (or hot muggy) fact.

Melb v GWS is a grudge match!

Harden the F up all of you! I will and do defend this club to the hilt but you have to understand how insecure you come across taking such offense at what a nothing jouno, for a nothing paper says about us. Water off this ducks back. I don't care about outside perception. I care about what we do on and off the field. All else including other hack's opinions in inconsequential to me!

I accept this for the money and the experience it brings MFC and the team- however like others have said I worry about the week after. We should get a bye, but I also understand why a bye shouldn't be handed to us on a silver platter. I'd rather have Geelong down at skilled after a Darwin match- they are always penciled in as a big "L" anyway.

LOL how the hell do GWS have over 11 thousand members? Surely they can't crack 15.. Would have loved to face these guys round 1 at the G- every Melbourne member would have been there. They are going to be spanked by Sydney, and every team after that. Cant wait.

2011 Player Review - # 28 Joel Macdonald
Jesse Christ replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
If we cut Jmac before Newton I'm going to go apeshit! We need all the mature bodies we can get. Jmac is a mature body who hardens our backline and he's a goer. Will definitely be needed now that Warnock is gone as insurance at the least! -
A little too outside for me. I mean there's outside, and then there's outside. Cale plays a [censored] brand of football and I just don't like it.

Big Blokes take time to develop - be patient
Jesse Christ replied to nutbean's topic in Melbourne Demons
He does scream class. And time will tell whether he can scream class in the AFL. See the difference? I don't think so.. I really don't like arguing with you Robbie, but you make it so easy. You just never give in. You're a stubborn one -

Yeah but how many spuds can you have on your list at the one time, big bodied or not. I feel that Newton has been lucky. I think that Johnson had a little more spud about him.

How many goals Mitch Clark in 2012
Jesse Christ replied to Sir Why You Little's topic in Melbourne Demons
Hmmm I'm thinking 60+ would be the bonus, as I and others have said depending on assists and other forwards increased totals Clarks value should be judged. Not what we payed for him and what others have done in the past. Everyone will be watching with interest -
Newton had skills at AFL level? I thought he only got contracts because he was a big body surrounded by lambs. I could see something in Maric I don't think it was a furphy- but at the same time I think he had enough chances. I couldn't really see much in Newton but I guess that is subjective.

How many goals Mitch Clark in 2012
Jesse Christ replied to Sir Why You Little's topic in Melbourne Demons
Speaking of that, I may have a flutter on Jurrah winning Coleman medal. He will surely have the most goals for us next season providing his body stays right. That's right, the more I think of it, the more I suspect Clark may not necessarily be the leading goal kicker for us. I'm fine with this. -
See Newton. 7 years worth of chances. I guess the less you have to offer a side physically determines the amount of chances you get. Must suck to be the little guy..

How many goals Mitch Clark in 2012
Jesse Christ replied to Sir Why You Little's topic in Melbourne Demons
Could be 40, could be 50. Could be 60 but probably not above that. Hell, it could even be as low as 20. So long as another forward benefits from his presence. I'd expect if Clark's output was sub 40 then Jurrah's could be 60+ quite easily. -
Big Blokes take time to develop - be patient
Jesse Christ replied to nutbean's topic in Melbourne Demons
This was mine- this wasn't mine- I have no problems with anything I said. If anything you probably just strengthened my argument. My suppositions are based on what I have witnessed. Your's are based out of annoyance for not producing the goods yesterday. We have the right to be optimistic about a kid's future based on signs we have witnessed. We don't have the right to bemoan a player because he isn't AFL ready from day one. Once again you fail to see this. -
Hmmm point taken.

Do you know when Gawn's contract expires? I think he did sign when JT did. I'm just trying to work out when Gawn might be ready to take 1st ruck duties, because I believe when he is ready we could have another Jolly situation(as someone already stated) on our hands.
-
Perhaps. I just can't see clubs clamoring over themselves to acquire the services of a 30 year old who is down on confidence or form.
