  1. Good example - yeah, we can't have that. I'm prepared to accept Watts not tackling as hard etc, because that's how he is and the trade off we get in return outweighs that deficiency. But you have to chase the ball.
  2. Interesting - shame that they all had bad days at once. Georgiou has been exceedingly consistent so probably can spare him and TMac is usually pretty reliable. Did they think about throwing Frawley back down there and would it have helped?
  3. Seems like the ladder is taking more sensible shape now - with GWS, St Kilda etc not in the 8, Collingwood in and Adelaide moving back up. The only surprises at this stage are Essendon, Sydney and Richmond - hands up who thought all three of those would be out of the 8 five games in?
  4. Like this, for example. Although a bit dangerous given I haven't seen the game, this has to be pure hyperbole.
  5. Didn't get to see the game, as overseas. What exactly was it about Watts' game which makes about half the posts on here about how he should be taken out the back and shot? Did he do something spectacularly awful?
  6. I meant a back out from continuing the argument, but way to carry it on.
  7. I was actually being conciliatory and giving you an easy back out, by highlighting that yes, it was up to you to make your own calls.
  8. Then again, AFL house can be quite arbitrary with things like this and won't want the Brisbane market to collapse.
  9. Quite! I don't really care either way, but as long as you know which of your patients give a rats and which don't, I guess you'll be fine...
  10. And I've done a fair bit of advising on privacy law...
  11. Nup. It went completely over my head. As deanox says, way too subtle for here! Sorry.
  12. I think he's more just saying that they don't need to be formally recognised as 'in a group' to be effective leaders, which they are already doing quite capably.
  13. Wow. Just an observation, but there have been literally 1500 posts on this topic since I last visited and, from what I can tell, almost nothing has changed... Not being critical of anyone on here, just observing how this seems to be just going in circles...
  14. No, I don't think we are. Let's not forget they weren't exactly world killers with him, either. Yes, he can turn the tide of a football game. I call that being an outstanding footballer, not necessarily an outstanding leader.
  15. That's being a good player, not a good leader. Plenty of douchebags have successful careers, doesn't mean they're not pricks.
  16. We kicked 6.15 not so long ago, so turn that around and we're square with the universe, I reckon. We should have beaten St. Kilda and Carlton should have beaten us.
  17. Really? Thanks for mentioning it - I haven't heard you say it before!
  18. I particularly like the way he discloates the shoulders of defenceless blokes on the bottom of packs. We should all emulate this maestro.
  19. I've always said that Watts will be, at some point, our best/most important player. I'm more and more confident that I will be vindicated by the end of this season. He's a gem, coming into his own, with a coach who finally knows how to get the best from him. Stop whinging about his style and get on board.
  20. Depends whether he's had arse botox or not.
  21. Utter pillock.
  22. Well done to all of you who had enough faith to drop some cash on us.
  23. He has to watch something this afternoon...
  24. That's a bit pessimistic... Give or take a week or two, we've got Jamar, Garland, Gawn and Dawes back or close to back, which quite outweighs one broken jaw to a fringe midfielder.
