  1. Who gives a rat's bumcrack whether we beat their magoos? If that's who runs out for them, and we get 4 points, I don't give a stuff if my grandma got a game for them.
  2. How is this any different from the bucketloads of players who do stuff like buy a pub when they're playing? This is most totally idiotic thread I've ever seen. On any forum.
  3. Couple of observations: (1) are there more achilles injuries than usual?; and (2) interesting how many rookies (ie, draftees) are on the injured list, often with relatively serious injuries. I'm super glad we're treating our young kids properly and managing them through slowly.
  4. 1. Frawley, because he is one of the best in his position in the league and just needs a cracking season to be very close. 2. Howe. Very early days, but gee he looked good the other night, even being the sole target. It is pretty scary to think what he could be with two or three monsters around him, left with the third or fourth tall defender. 3. Bernie Vince. You heard it here first. He will absolutely tear them a new one in our midfield this year, methinks. Not saying they will be this year by any stretch, I just think they're the first three on the list when the time eventually comes.
  5. It wasn't Neeld. The only good thing that came from the Neeld era was good recruiting (think Toumpas, Viney, Hogan, Dawes, Clark, Kent, Terilch, Clisby etc) and it wasn't him. It was the recruitment team. People always bang on about the mistakes (Gillies, jury out on Pedersen and Byrnes) but I think people do forget just how good our recruiting has been for the last couple of years and how good the decisions have been in respect of letting others go.
  6. I love how on every Col Sylvia thread you chime in with this... And FWIW - I think he would have been found out even the other night against Richmond - our ball movement was actually quite quick and he would never have kept up. He'll be playing WAFL all year wishing he was part of at least the wins we will pick up, given he did go through the hard times as well.
  7. No apostrophe, my friend, unless you're talking about the Nazi's shoe or jumper or other possession.
  8. I'm not sure that he is, but am open to being pleasantly surprised.
  9. Great thread... Adelaide - Mindless supporters and try listening to Ricciuto call their games. Pack of one eyed gits. Good brand of footy though. Brisbane - Bit of a soft spot, didn't begrudge them those flags. Carlton - Total Sh!ts. Smarmy, self-important club who have their heads up their bums. Collingwood - Sadly, soft spot given family connections. Although hate the rat pack and those little gits like Beams and Elliott. Essendon - Wish the whole lot of them went under a bus. And their supporters are truly arrogant, ignorant pricks. Fremantle - Couldn't care less Geelong - Actually really love watching them play. And, since I despise Hawthorn, I have a soft spot for them for the sheer fact that they gave the Hawks a bollocking about 12 times in a row, no matter what. Hawthorn - Absolutely cannot stand them and so, so sick of getting smashed by them every time we go near them. North - I'd like them if they didn't have Brent Harvey, who should take a long walk off a short pier. Port Adelaide - Whatever. Richmond - Find them mildly comical - I have this picture of Jack Riewoldt having a kick to win a game and his pants falling down or something. Best theme song in world history and I sing along every time St Kilda - Pack of amoral clowns who get everything they deserve, including heartbreak like 'that bounce' against Collingwood (Milne) and 'that Scarlett toe-poke', both of which probably hurt more than our wooden spoons Sydney - Loved the way they snatched that flag from Hawthorn West Coast - If you live in the fast lane, eventually you get run over. Bullies - Really don't mind them and admire their late 2000's run of prelims. Good on them
  10. I've wondered for ten years how come we are the only club that can never execute this tactic at all. I mean, at all, over a number of coaches, years and players. It defies logic.
  11. Absolutely spot on. That three man tackle with Heath Shaw and others was, for me, the defining image of our descent into rabble.
  12. Or at all, given the only training shots of him I see are him wearing boxing gloves. Be great if he could kick a footy first...
  13. Really interesting, and probably more candid than I've seen him in print before. New coach Paul Roos shocked by Demons' scars
  14. Still hearing 'I don't like change'.
  15. No, your world view just has very little connection with reality, whether you have emotional ties or not!
  16. Just quietly, that's a very eclectic range of interests you have in your profile...
  17. Yep, see you're point on timing and made that change. Nevertheless, I think players and managers know how to handle the media, as do clubs. If he were keen on staying, he'd say he was working through discussions. The bluntness of the message is the key here.
  18. Yeah, true, but doesn't fill me with excitement either way. Anyway, we'll see!
