Well said WJ, the WA crop this year is a very good bunch, youve got small forwards in Taylor and Henry and Taylor is a strong overhead mark. Quality players and leaders in Robertson and Rivers, Sharp is very good by foot and in decision making, whilst Jackson is a ruckman with good skills for a bigman and another leader
-
He and his management have played it very well, will have an increased offer from the Pies with triggers for a 3rd year if he stays fit. I'm glad we didn't go desperate and up the offer to 4 years. Something will have to give at Collingwood next year
-
you forgot to mention it's the ripple effect of their 2019, finals campaign.
-
With Langdon and Tomlinson we increase our running power, Langdon has far greater speed but picking up a couple of two way running types clears a big void in our game last season. Greater run and spread opens up many options across the ground

2019 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Pennant St Dee replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
If Sharp, Weightman and Taylor are all still available at those picks, expect to see some live trading occurring. I'd hope we look at live trading if any of them were available at those picks, fill a number of needs -
WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
Pennant St Dee replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
Welcome aboard Adam, good to have a two way runner on board whose marking will assist with connection in transition and whose back up ruckwork has him as a Pedersen upgrade in terms of endurance -
List changes who do we cut, trade or go after.

Would love Cerra as you know, but Gus isn't going anywhere and we need to keep him, He'll bounce back -
He is hopeless, glad we didn’t get him.

Apologies to Ash's Demons because I remember him pushing this one really hard Nathan Freeman -
You can guarantee replace Ross Lyon (Clarko) and Zac Dawson (Frosty) Play tight off the shoulder, spoil in the air at all times in a contest and only ever dispose by handball. Your roll in this defence is to negate not to create
-
Kane did tip us to win the flag in 2018, hence why he may have us ahead of the Blues
-
Would be happy almost running naked down the street to trade 3 to GWS and 22 to Freo along with 57 and Frost to Hawks for 30 and 47 to end up with Caldwell Kemp at 12 Sharp at 18 Langdon Taylor at 30 Tomlinson Cutler for 47
-
He had 2 chances to grab Buddy and missed them both
-
We had that for the last 3 years in Lewis though people like TGR see absolutely no benefit in the club taking him on when clearly that was identified by Roos as being a big void. I think May and Lever are 2 who identify issues on field and try to address them
-
I heard the interview and he was more referring to the prelim, West Coast were red hot and we were pretty much done the week before. He stated Hawks could have got us had they taken some of their chances. He wasn't referring to the season overall
-
Sharp and Taylor going in the mid to late 20s IMO shows this draft isn't as poor as some are making it out to be
-
I really like Kemp, but know we desperately need a mid who can play forward and kick goals so that's Serong or Flanders from what you're describing for the 3. Young looks like he'd also be good with quick ball movement from the back half and that is something else we need because it allows you to turn teams around forward of centre and make them defensively fragile
-
Yes he's tracked as I expect not far away IMO, another pre season and he'll be a regular mid rotating of either HFF or HBF, his ball use and decision making sees him with ability to move to HBF and be important for transition
-
Cerra is a very good decision maker and ball user. I think he will be a really good outside mid next season
-
Would consider trading 3 for Cerra, Langdon and 26. 22 and 26 to GWS for pick 12 Far fetched but I would do it
-
Have heard the Gaff rumour, nothing concrete but has been mentioned as a way to trump Freo, by somehow getting the pick. Gaff and 35 for pick 3, sweet jesus no
-
I'd like Lewis but they won't let him go, Gunston would be another but can't see him being moved on
-
Howe didn't want to stay and certainly never turned the ball over as much as Frost. Try not comparing Apples with oranges
-
He's going to become a mixture of Bobby Skilton and David Densch under Clarkos tutelage according to some on Demonland
-
Being the West Australian, no doubt Nic Nat had some involvement
-
Wouldn't mind getting Dean Solomon on board
