  1. Probably because the two players are confirmed as negative to Covid19. I'm not unhappy the AFL has gone ahead, gives us some hope and something new to read. I'm also over the sensationalist reporting of this current epidemic. It's what has brought on the panic buying and increased fear. It is something we've never faced before I agree I don't see how banning kids from Community football has made them safer than attending school with 500-1000 kids in close proximity. and I don't see how the players health is under any bigger threat by playing football than the general publics would be by attending packed shopping centres or traveling on public transport on mass. The players playing or not, isn't going to lead us to the scenario which is occurring in Italy or Iran currently
  2. Who?, or which club
  3. Who tested positive after playing?
  4. Agree except for the narrow Cattery and the compact SCG
  5. As Dr Bruckner said, the contact sport is not the issue. The travel and other exposure to others (not on the ground)who may have the virus where the issue is
  6. Clogged threads up for years under previous Demonland identity Headed off to Facebook for a while and freed us up for a period of time Comes back under another username and history repeats itself
  7. Very nice parts of Dublin you were in Rab, I'm originally from Tallaght, with all my family being from the Crumlin area. Emigrated with my parents when I was 8. Spent a bit of time back there in my late teens early 20s living in Rathmines and Crumlin. Nothing wrong with being a blue nose rivalry is great for sport, just a few head cases take things to far. One of my best mates is a mad Gers fan lives down Point Cook way now
  8. Where did you live Rab?
  9. You've had a warmer summer back in Melbourne Red, The Eagles have had a bit if an interupted pre season. Iur boys look fit at the moment and I think the heat may help us
  10. Meth Coast, there's no sporting team I despise more on the planet. An Irish Catholic by birth I hate them more than I hate Rangers
  11. IMO Hibbos first half was woeful. Fumbled and disposal was way off, he's fitter than last year but his kicking ain't anywhere near where it was previously. Only pre season but the penetration he had previously doesn't look to be there. I'm a Spargo fan, he's got footy smarts and used it well with limited posession also provided good pressure. Lockhart looks a gem with the full pre season behind him
  12. It's not the same 59k Eagles fans v 1k Dees full house as opposed to 30k Dees and 2-3k Eagles at the G Less intimidating for the umps Get a good start and silence the crowd like we did last season and in Rd 22 2018
  13. Cheers all, I think the Napier is the one, will head to both when I'm back in Melbourne next
  14. Is that the Fitzroy pub with footy memorabilia all over the walls, was there a few years ago and always meant to head back
  15. Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, Echo, Foxtrot, Golf, Hotel, India, Juliet, Kilo, Mike, November Oscar, Papa, Quebec Romeo, Sierra, Tango, Uniform, Victor Whiskey, Xray, Yankee and Zulu
  16. Well said I'm actually laughing at some of the comments on here from some who shouldn't surprise. They forget how important he is when fit and the impact he has. No more important player in the 2018 finals who stood up when needed. He's played that way bleeding for the jumper since Round 1, 2013 I anticipate if the clear run he's had this pre season continues he will prove a lot of people wrong.
  17. I understand that and have posted 25 players in that list, I also believe the Wagners, Joel Smith and young Rivers are ahead of him. IMO he's gone backwards
  18. Exactly where is Hunt best 22 can't see it myself B. Jetts May Hibberd HB. Lever Omac Salem C. Langdon Viney Tomlinson HF. Melk Weid Trac F. Fritsch Tmac Kossie/Spargo R. Gawn, Oliver Brayshaw IC. Harmes, Brown, Jones, Nibbler, Lockhart, Sparrow
  19. Agree I think he's good depth and I'm sure it's not all he did in the game but people see what they want to see and ignore the rest
  20. Yes there was last year it was, not 100% certain on the exact poster but recall it was one of the grenade throwing brigade talking about inside knowledge of a major rift between players and the coaching group. And I'm still waiting on their predicted blood letting which was to occur when coaches were moved on
  21. He did not make the WA team
  22. Only a practice game so will cool my jets but on my observation from watching Petracca - wow shown glimpses of that but certainly not over 4 quarters Weid - did very well against O'Brien who is no slouch and was good around the ground Clarrie- does what he does looked a little less handball focused Lever - Impressive intercepts and looked much better by foot Sparrow- like what I saw got his hands on it a bit and will improve, a lot to like about this kid Brown/Tmac - having 2 targets was good and saw us capable of bringing the ball to ground more although must remember Crows weren't exaexactly big down back. Tmac certainly showed if he's fit he's going to cause issues in second halves AVB - stats lie, this bloke is important around the contest and impacting our ability to defend against the fast break Viney - looked fit and ran the game out well was back to influencing around the stoppages Jackson- very raw and a fair way off, but boy does he have some impressive traits, he has a fantastic leap, some mongrel and quick hands for a tall. Kossie - was very exciting 1st half but they tightened up on him which whilst limiting him, creates opportunities for others Lockhart - looked good and the full pre season has helped him Jones - set up defensive with our forward press and made the most of his opportunities. Looked to be moving well till he copped what looked like a corkie to the shin Loved the hard run and the ability to find space Langdon showed I also liked Tomlinsons game not huge stats but provides run and a link with transition as a marking target Salem - liked his game used the ball well for first hit out and going to be very important with his delivery inside 50 if he plays higher up the ground I think with Max back, Weid moves forward and Fritsch will also provide more class inside 50 Certainly a stark difference in fitness levels compared with being over run by the Tigers and Lions last year
  23. Another game we shouldn't have lost, which will cost us as it has for the last 3 years
  24. I don't rate him Dazzle, poor disposal, poor decision maker and whilst he has speed he makes decisions the same way., without considering all options IMO he's depth
  25. Don't argue with this idiot, he's not a Dees fan. Fact is Garry Lyon approached Kelly over getting Ross Lyon and Kelly told him he was renogiating his contract with St Kilda. Ross blind sided his agent, which in hindsight was understandable as Kelly was also Mark Harvey's agent The troll has it all wrong again in so many ways
