  1. Beware the Giants this week, they are absolutely copping it in the media, highlighting their players lack of run and accountability. Line in the sand game for them and we need to be very careful not to drink our own bath water this week and get caught up in a dog fight. Kelly, Hopper and Coniglio will come to play. Great opportunity to get a win and get a 2 game buffer on a few teams and set ourselves up. Big test of maturity and ruthlessness, we are favourites. Need to set the tone early that youโ€™re going to run 2 ways, be hard at every contest and set the self preservation and self doubt in on the Giants
  2. Ive heard differently from both East Freo and Aquinas. Very hard working and driven young man with good skills and decion making. Will watch a bit of him this year in PSA first VIII, my boy is at another PSA school but a bit young for first VIII this season. Woey Snr is one of the new coaches at my boys school so taking a keen interest for several reasons
  3. 6 Clarrie 5 Salem 4 Trac 3. Tomlinson 2. Kossie 1. Nibbler
  4. Great win, think many are underestimating our set up behind the ball, which played a big part in Saints poor disposal. Many times there players had ball in hand and had no free teammates in space, they ran to try and create handball chains but ran into trouble. Gus played his role and we we held our structure well instead of being bees to the honey pot. Spargo is and has always been a smart footballer, Jordan touch of difference, Sparrow does the team thing, smart body position and cool for a young player. Tomlinson works perfectly as the third defender. Lot to like about our ability to get wins and be in control when we we have more improvement in us
  5. 6. May 5. Lever 4. Tmac 3. Tomlinson 2. Spargo 1.Oliver
  6. We beat St Kilda when they could have sewn up a top 8 spot We annihilated Collingwood who finished above us who was the better team
  7. They need to lead in a way that others don't question and follow. No quarter given. Binman mentioned Oliver not doing same basic stuff that I would drag an u/15 for no matter how good he is. If I do it to the best player in the side then nobody is sacred. I love Clarry but if continues to be an issue that's how you make a statement and change culture. It's been done with Stevie J, Nick Del Santo, Montagna, Jeremy Mcgovern, Michael Walters, Heath Shaw and others
  8. Some good signs But it was ours and the Tigers first hit out for the year So to the usual sky is falling suspects it was a practice match when you were commenting "Nothing has changed" rhetoric and to the supreme optimists it was still a practice match in the second half
  9. It's not great but we just have to deal with it. Whoever the 2/3 key talls are the delivery inside 50 and the structure will have more impact on winning games. These outs hurt but if everyone knows their role we will be fine. The ability of players out IMO impacts against the really strong sides, but if all else is in place we should be beating those around us
  10. These things never end well, remember how Andrew Mcleod, Shaun Burgoyne and Joel Selwood all struggled after being diagnosed with degenerative knee issues. They just couldn't get the management right and their careers ended prematurely. ???
  11. and when you promised to leave Demonland forever when Salem got us up over the Bombers after the siren, you should have stuck to it
  12. I wish him no ill, the club is bigger than any player. Hope he is in a good place health wise
  13. RIP Mark, condolences to family and friends
  14. Cheers for the reports everyone much appreciated
  15. Pretty sure he's currently in the Dogs rehab group with Toby McLean and a few others
  16. Cheers for the training report LH
  17. Needs to just find some composure JG when close to goal. He often has more time than he thinks, but rushes his kicks. When he does this he is often off balance, running at full pace when dropping the ball and his ball drop is high. A bit more composure to just slightly decelerate, when disposing the ball by foot. This is something IMO which should come with greater exposure at the highest level. But yes he brings plenty of other things others don't. Really think his link up play to move the ball quickly and break the lines is something special
  18. He needs to do more when he gets the football, IMO he just lacks X factor. He works hard defensively inside forward 50 and applies pressure with tackles (which need to stick more). IMO he's just like 50 other players, nothing really stands out, which is needed at Kobe's size. So he needs to either build strength/power and become a pressure forward who causes chaos with turnovers or start to really hurt opponents on the scoreboard I basically think his skills are average and need to be pushing elite with his size
  19. Why because he's the Wiz's kid Have you seen him play I have and there's a reason he wasn't drafted Long shot but sometimes fairytales become reality
  20. Yep, must say we've been very lucky over here. Hate to think of the mental health implications with lockdown
  21. Beyond the AFL, and I'm a Lib voter McGowan's border closures have been fantastic for those of us living in WA. We went hard early and have pretty much been living normal lives since May Kids missed 5 weeks of school (2 of which were school holidays) Work is pretty much back to normal with the main impact being the job keeper payments are making it hard to attract staff for some businesses Gyms, swimming pools etc all operating normally for several months Pubs restaurants etc functioning pretty normal Junior and Community sport all got seasons in and summer sports still continuing. I'm sure we will get a cluster, but for now very happy with how things are going Sorry but life goes beyond the AFL
  22. Agreed and think Buddy would be struggling to have taken 6 pack marks in his career
  23. He'll still have his 12 PSA games for Aquinas to play
