  1. Wasn't Cook interviewed the other week saying he's stepping away from the Cats at the end of the year and retiring
  2. Yep, he said it was???
  3. Straight of player managers text book, drip feed and squeeze what you can. Sign till FA and go again in your prime for that last big deal. Well played Great work by the FD to take this kid when they did
  4. It was my 14 year old, bowled a short ball and I wasn't wearing a helmet
  5. Yes, heโ€™s running two ways, but the significant improvement has been with his disposal and decision making
  6. I fractured my eye socket in January it took a week from swelling to go completely and around 3 for the fracture to heal.
  7. Yes the answer is no. FCS stop looking for something that isnโ€™t there. It was an accident and they happen in footy
  8. 6. Trac 5. Lever 4. Langdon 3.Viney 2. Oliver 1. Gawn
  9. Donโ€™t worry heโ€™ll be trolling on another clubs supporters page
  10. Absolutely an accident, nothing in it but some people see what they want to see Iften been at games and thought are they actually watching the same game
  11. Yep a tragedy of the game. WAFL is close to dead and been on the decline since the Eagles first started. When the comp was getting strong again around 2009-13 they brought in stand alone for the AFL sides and killed it off further. Having said that many in WA are fair weather fans and all they care/know about is the Eagles
  12. As did the WAFL last week Ammos kicks off tomorrow, happy days Saturday catch ups with friends and old teammates over a few coldies. Life is good
  13. Yep, bloody phones and preemptive text
  14. If it guarantees us staying there, Iโ€™ll volunteer to do it
  15. Port made the fatal mistake of going in tall against West Coast particular inside forward 50m It has always been something to avoid against them but even more so now when they have good users by foot across the board. You very much need to play only 2 talls a medium and 3 smalls to lock the ball in and apply ground ball pressure against their defence. The above coupled with the lack of man on man at centre clearances set Port up for failure the other night
  16. Itโ€™s no longer us in the trade revision gun, itโ€™s the Bombers but like us with the Josh Kelly, May for Pick 6 and trading up for Kossie Picket calls, I still think the Bombers have done ok with Cox and Perkins. Jones has shown a bit so far and itโ€™s only very early days. Very happy to have KP, he has tricks that you just canโ€™t teach
  17. 6. Gawn 5.Langdon 4.Hunt 3. Picket 2. Viney 1. Salem
  18. I remember James Kelly doing it at Kardinya Park around 2012/13
  19. Talk about ruining a drink, only two things go with Jameson, either Ice or a drop of water
  20. My thoughts exactly, like North on Friday they will come hard early. Any midfield with Ward, Coniglio, Kelly, Taranto,Hopper and Greene is going to be up for a fight
  21. Yes I have seen it first hand, previously worked in the Sex Crime area. Whats seen can't be unseen and what's read sometimes has a bigger impact. I became immersed in an investigation that consumed my life more than it should have a few years ago. It impacted me and my family to a point I never thought it would. It was tragic the victims ranged in age from late 30s to late 40s when they came forward and to see the effect it had on their lives and the destruction had a big impact. The offender was a Catholic priest who in the 70s and 80s preyed on vulnerable children and destroyed lives. The actions of the Catholic church we uncovered were deplorable. The bravery of those victims to relive some horrors of their childhood should not be underestimated. The day we knocked on the priest's door was gratifying to look him in the eye and acknowledge we knew what he'd done and they were no longer frightened children, who didn't speak up because they thought they wouldn't be believed. Many of the victims were substance abusers, suffered mental health and were severely effected to a point they will never recover from. The Rod Owen story unfortunately is not isolated
  22. Yes absolutely, donโ€™t turn this into one of your long running 20 post sagas and donโ€™t let facts get in the way of a whisper, which evolved into your statement Was Clarrie unhappy- yes maybe Was he out of contract - No Did any club offer us anything to take Clarrie -,No Do managers put rumours out 12/18 months in advance of contract negotiations- yes all the time Did any club have the required funds to pay for him - North and Hawthorn did but at trade time nobody else did Did any club have the required compensation to get Clarrie from us-No Would we have let him go for unders - No So yes Iโ€™m absolutely saying He was never โ€œcloseโ€ to leaving last summer.
  23. Sure he was, FFS you and others on here fell for player management 101
  24. Started following in 1980 when our jumper was Royal blue, which is why I don't mind our current clash jumper. Seen a few glimpses of promise without getting the job done. In the early years Robbie Flower was my hero, Connolly came on the scene and I thought here we go but injury hit him. Viney snr was tough in and under no backward steps and we had Strawbs, Grinter who never took a backward step. Plenty of potential under Danners but we never had the backline or the ability to [censored] teams down when they got momentum. The current crop is very talented gives me hope 1. T. Viney 2. Flower 3. Schwarter 4. Stynes 5. Clarrie
  25. A player on the coin heโ€™s on should relish the challenge to silence the critics Fatigue will come late, but if we set doubt in early mental fatigue will set in I love our defensive set up inside 50 at the moment with Sparrow, ANB Spargo and Kossie all creating defensive pressure as soon as the ball hits the deck. This creates pressure immediately and prevents teams moving the ball cleanly through transition which gives us opportunities to turn it over and set up behind the ball
