The 2023 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Pennant St Dee replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
If that were the case I’d take Sanders at 6 and see if we got lucky with one club taking a Smokey and possibly O’Sullivan being there at 11. Unlikely but you never know -
Yes we have

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Pennant St Dee replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Like your thinking LT, for mine whilst I’d love Curtin or Sanders I think it’s a no brainer if Sanders is available at 6. Curtin won’t last till 11, O’Sullivan highly unlikely but a possibility, however I believe Murphy will be there. Sanders and O’Sullivan fantastic get but even Sanders and Murphy wouldn’t be to bad -
So does Pavlich who was going home every year according to SA news. He’s still in Perth Nev Jetta couldn’t wait to leave Victoria Blake Acres was traded back to WA and where is he now Simon Black,Daniel Rich, Taryn Lockyer, Buddy, Chance Bateman, Joel Corey, Harry Taylor, Mitch Duncan, Darren Gaspar For every go home to WA player you bring up I’ll name more who stayed But by all means you make comment on someone you know nothing about or have never met. I’ve got news for you were keen on another WA boy in next years crop so prepare yourself for more sleepless nights

Poita on 26/9/21 “We won last night, but that second quarter effort was terrible.”
-
Oh I forgot we’d finished making our selections at the draft and finalised our list and those we’ve slowly been introducing to some midfield time was just for [censored]$ and giggles and not to help us moving forward
-
If we were you , we’d spend our time wondering why the glass was never half full
-
They are showing interest in him Clarkson WAFL grand final week was saying and doing all the right things about drafting him
-
So he’s only a risk 1-5, but will stay if drafted after that
-
And Ryan O’Keefe, who ends up winning a Norm Smith and Premiership medal
-
If I’m Brady Rawlings I’m keeping 2 and 3 unless West Coast will take a swap for 2 or 3 plus Zurharr for 1 Then I’m taking Reid and Mckercher. With Sheezel, LDU, Simpkin, Wardlaw and Phillips already in the midfield rotation Reid can cut his teeth in Year 1 as a forward and Mckercher can play more outside
-
Every player who plays this game is 1 big hit or horrific injury away from not playing again. Lists need to be turned over regularly and players identified as not offering anything to improve us need to be moved on if the opportunity arises
-
Spargo could solve world peace, but Picket Fence would still have him behind Idi Amin, Pol Pot and Bin Laden in any ratings scale
-
Picks 6 isn’t something the Suns would want given their Academy players and bids
-
One oval (main)is dimensions of Optus while the outside oval is MCG dimensions. Back in the day the outside oval was the main car park
-
I think he’s been prepared for the last few years to move interstate and without being 100% certain I think he’s the type that will embrace the club which picks him and want to build something special. Very loyal person to his teammates
-
That’s incorrect, clubs will back themselves, yes we lost Jackson but our current side has Nibbler, Sparrow, Petty, Pickett, Rivers, Mcvee, Woewodin, Chandler, Rooey and May all interstaters
-
They only drink Barry’s tea in Munster, McKenna being from Ulster I’d hazard a guess would be a Lyons Tea man
-
Curtin helped coach one of the development squads at Claremont this year , mate of mine worked with him and said he was fantastic with the players no ego and fully engaged with the program
-
Yes but I may be biased, I’ve never worked with O’Sullivan
-
Apologies misread your post but I dont think they’ll take that either. Another pick needed
-
No way the Dogs with Lobb, JUH, Darcy, Naughton take Curtin especially also having access to Croft
-
Curtin has several strings to his bow and potential across all 3 lines. As said on another thread, North are into him and whilst that may be Clarkson playing mind games with West Coast, he has let it be known he sees Curtin as part of their future spine. Whilst he has several attributes and could be anything don’t think for 1 minute he can’t play a lockdown 1 v 1 roll. Watch his game for WA vs Allies when they moved him onto Walter. There’s also several WAFL seniors games to review him
-
Reckon the Dogs will take Watson, think we will take Sanders
-
North are taking Mckercher and Duursma unless they get pick 1 then it’s Reid and Mckercher. They also are keeping an open mind on Curtin, but that may have just been Clarko playing mind games with West Coast
