  1. I just shake my head at comments such as the one you responded to, really poor against one of our own
  2. @Demonland I understand we’re behind in the West, however title of the thread says Wednesday February 8th 2024. My watch, computer and phone all saying Wednesday February 7th
  3. Bombers, Roos and Lions recruiters were in Perth last week conducting interviews with potential draft candidates for 2024.
  4. Just go out and play, forget outside noise and stay focused There will be peaks and troughs throughout, but trust the group around you and be team first in everything we do. If we stay fit, perform to our best and see improvement in our 20-50 game players we will be in contention
  5. There always that one person who brings logic to try and destroy a myth Away with you, do you not realise posters on here know otherwise. Unfortunately to many can’t see intricate changes in front of their eyes and wish to fabricate Chinese whispers as gospel
  6. Darcy hadn’t signed when they started chasing Jackson
  7. They have no big bodied mid as evident by their struggles in midfield last season without Mundy. Whilst Brayshaw and Serong are very good mids they ain’t the midfield bulls Mundy and a fit Fyfe are. They have no small forwards with an aging Walters along with losing Henry and Schulz. you have no idea what standard SVR is I doubt you have seen him play. They have taken him and Voss on board to train all summer along with Dan McKenzie as the players who they see as the best available talls who come a lot cheaper as back up because with Jackson, Darcy, Serong, Brayshaw all on big money and Amiss going to command big money throughout his career it ain’t happening
  8. Really, they have Jai Amiss long term who will be a gun and other holes to fill across the ground before getting tied up chasing JVR

I expect moving forward their ruck forward combo is Flynn and Bailey Williams,. Midfield depth is what they will look to build on in their list build Yeo, Reddan, Shuey all to be replaced, Sheeds body isn’t great outside run in the old Gaff, Masten and Darling/Kennedy replacement to partner Oscar Allen all needed although I do like the potential in Jack Williams. don’t think English will be as big a target for them as he was in 2022 Could be wrong but just MO

I’ll stand corrected on McEvoy but certainly a bit of a wasted pick for the Saints, traded him off for a pick in the teens and Shane Savage. However I think it backs up my point, and whilst drafting in hindsight is easy Saints could have taken Mumford who went as a rookie and any of the players left on the table in place of McEvoy, namely Dangerfield, Cyril Rioli, Robbie Tarrant, Alex Rance, Easton Wood, Scott Thompson (would have been handy in the 09/10 backline), Callan Ward or Cale Hooker

Learn from other clubs over a sustained period and ourselves with Gawn and Jamar, none of Nankervis, Cameron, Pyke, Bliczavs, Jordan Roughead, Dean Cox, Jolly or McEvoy were high draft picks. Most are either late, rookie or cheap trade pick ups
  12. Only just back running after a full year out of footy, hopefully BVR gets some games under him this year
  13. Take emotion out of it and from a football perspective explain how it makes sense?
  14. I think the Village has a new id10t
  15. Thanks to all track watchers for the detailed reports
  16. Thanks for the training report PF, much appreciated
  17. How is it risky, across the ground you’re open to being involved in a collision by way of a deliberate bump, friendly fire or accidental contact. If you’re passed fit you go where best suited. We’re not talking a short time after incident

Rivers, Nev Jetta, Stephen/Matthew Febey, Woewodin (was moved on), Petracca, Neale-Bullen and I could go on but basically we can throw anything in to provide an alternative view
  19. Pennant St Dee replied to Demonland's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
Every players height and weight gets done from development through seniors and done every season
  20. Pennant St Dee replied to Demonland's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
It happens in the WAFL weekly footy Budget only the male listed players across all grades have their weight published the female players don’t it’s height only
  21. I don’t think we’re a lock, we need a lot of improvement in speed of ball movement forward entries and separation clearance and cbd spread staying healthy is also vital
  22. Agree I have loved him from day 1 and believe he’s seriously underrated by non Demons. However I have no doubt with the knowledge the club has regarding Clarrys personal matters, planning will be very much based on scenarios where he isn’t in the line up. We’re better with him but 1 player doesn’t make a team especially when you have virtually an entire preseason to plan with him not being there. If Clarry plays it’s a bonus and I’m very much a person who doesn’t worry about who I haven’t got and worries about who I have got. Players and coaching staff I would think will have the same mindset
  23. Yes he is saying that even though it was well known Goody engages with the players from the bench whilst Yze took the reigns and called the shots from the coaches box on match day
  24. Pennant St Dee replied to Demonland's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
The WAFL equivalent of the Football Record “The Budget” only publishes the weight of the League, Ressies and Colts players the WAFL Women’s senior and Rogers Cup (Colts) players do not have their weight published
  25. Don’t ask him a football related question It would be like asking Ivan Milat on how to boost tourism
