Dees 2001-2024 = West Coast (2005-2008)
That is just not true in anyway. Whilst things aren’t currently looking good I hate the rewriting of history We actually looked very good heading towards the end of the home and away season 2023. We won 8 from 9 heading into finals and looked to have solved our scoring issues with Petty and Melk looking good forward with the normal fwd mix. Petty went down in Rd 21 vs North and after a close loss to the Blues we changed the dynamic with Smith, Mel, Roo, Fritta and Kozzie fwd and were travelling well. We absolutely destroyed the Swans up there in the final home and away round but unfortunately lost Melk to the ACL and Fritta injured the foot which hampered him for the remainder of the year So please don’t tell me we didn’t improve since Rd 11 2022. We may have won 10 in a row to start 2022 but I reckon we weren’t actually playing that well and some opponents were actually a bit overawed by us

Trade Targets
Probably and up until this year was going well at Essendon, has he fallen away due to them now being to tall or are is his workfare questionable. I wouldn’t be selling the farm for him

PREGAME: Rd 22 vs Port Adelaide
In my mind forward line set up needs to change and Trac needs to play their around 70% JVR obviously becomes the big dog and Petty, May Lever are all down back. We are so much more dangerous with Trac fwd and a steady strong defensive set up is part of our DNA. I think Rivers becomes a regular mid and Oliver with a full pre season I expect should see him get back to a trimmer version of himself which with his natural gifts will only benefit him. We definitely need some mids and wouldn’t mind finding a pinch hitting ruck fwd with a seasoned body for a year or so

Time to go Goody?
At this point the argument ended

Time to go Goody?
Explain why and before you type We didn’t win a flag, which I am well aware of but please explain why they were bad seasons and not just bad finals campaigns?

If they come from East Fremantle 50% chance they are Gero or Great Northern Footy League boys

He’s not, he’s a Hillarys (Northern Coastal suburbs)boy West Perth zone played junior footy at Whitfords and Sorrento Duncraig. His dad was one of my PE teachers way back in the 80s

Oliver Trade Rumours
I was listening and this is where the media doesn’t report what is actually said. The bolder bit Garry actually said he would under no circumstances trade Oliver who is in a form slump With regards to handing back his membership, his words were worse then trading Oliver if they were to also pay some of his salary to play for another club that would be it for me. Whilst it may only be semantics it’s how the media works and the truth gets lost in translation. The next article changes it slightly again and click bait goes wild. The biggest issue for me is Kane Cornes(who tries to be controversial just for the sake of it) made a suggestion that Melbourne would potentially pay part of Oliver’s salary and off load a first round pick to get Oliver off our books, suddenly becomes something that the club is considering. FCS this is the same person who absolutely pushed the Kossie to Port move 2 years ago as if it was a done deal. Never believe anything Cornes or Maclure say

2024 Marsh AFL National Championships
Of those WA boys Rodriguez is a really good player but I’m not certain there’s a lot more upside. Will be a player but not sure on tools to separate him from other mids, currently a big bodied player for his age Blake Kelly is a serious player with huge upside super clean hands, good awareness, vision and decision making in congestion Toby Whan I expect him to climb, smooth mover, reads the play well beautiful left foot penetrating kick, plays midfield but at next level I see a really good half back who can be really damaging Basil Hart - haven’t seen a lot of Basil, but he’s a typical skilled medium forward with clean hands, good lateral movement and goal sense. Had some injury issues but I don’t see a lot of real X factor Cody Curtin - he’s close to 200cm now and will be sought after next year. Didn’t play development or Futures footy and only got serious about footy this year. Really raw but developing quickly. Different player to brother Dan, less skilled but has more athleticism and really good closing speed to be a strong key defender. He will be taken next year and with some work put into him will be a really good 1 v 1 KPD Marcus Cassidy - haven’t seen a lot of Marcus as he’s playing PSA at Trinity, but he’s a skilled big mid who can play forward and impact the scoreboard. Query on him is he’s is an absolute gun underager but is there more upside Jadd Hill - tough as teak midfielder, country boy who has played against bigger and senior players for a long time. Clean hands, good awareness and skills are ok. I think he needs to develop another string to the bow, whether it’s scoreboard impact, playing off halfback or become an endurance beast because there’s an overload of players this size Charlie Banfield and Wes Walley from this years squad aren’t mentioned but both will come into contention Banfield is a big bodied mid who can play forward around the 6ft 2 mark and not yet 17. Great endurance, strong mark and strong in congestion. Walley can be hot and cold but has plenty of X factor. Pace, lateral movement, quick feet and a fantastic leap. Has the ability to gather ground balls at pace inside F50, chase down defenders and create headaches for opposition sides. Consistency and mindset are the biggest focus points for him.

2024 Marsh AFL National Championships
Brett Lecras son, who is the older brother of Mark, drafted by North but only a handful of games. Koby is a decent player just not sure on his ceiling. Speed is a weak point but neither Mark or Brett had pace and they both went ok

Dan Houston
This and this, West Coast scenario when they felt they had one more two year tilt left in the list and gave up 3 picks to get Tim Kelly is very much a buyer beware for what they are suggesting Houston would cost us

binman’s rant (Goody defence)
He’s been handled with kid gloves and I understand why he is a freak and has been an absolute game changer, but if they don’t believe he can get back to that effort they would be negligent to not listen. I trust both Clarrie and the FD will know the answers and whether last pre season was just a one off

POSTGAME: Rd 19 vs Fremantle
Chandler actually applied some pressure at the fall of the ball and chased. Kossie inside 50 constantly waltzed around, stuck 1 arm in a token effort and didn’t chase. Got free on centre wing once with Turner 1 v 1 in our forward 50. Kossie doesn’t even run hard to take grass and draw the defender.,He just kicks it to space leaving Turner to take on his opponent. That was him today too hard let someone else do the work

binman’s rant (Goody defence)
I see it the other way and think the FD knows the way forward is with the new brigade stepping up and why I wouldn’t be surprised if Clarrie left for the right price

binman’s rant (Goody defence)
We are being let down by our leaders Fritsch absolutely no second effort Clarrie absolutely no 2 way run and knowing he has no fitness still stands off his opponent at stoppage Kossie picks and chooses and when he’s on we’re on Our Recent improvements not just beating Essendon was on the back of the young players standing up they will be inconsistent and it’s time a few truths were told to some of the big earners
