  1. We just need to get the ball in our hands and control it again.
  2. Wtf? How can you go from being totally organised and in control to this rabble either side of a half time break?
  3. I think that whatever it was that was said, it was while he was lining up for his second goal. After he kicks it and high fives his teammates, he headed straight to the edge of the square and was calling out to somebody. He then motioned talking with his hands and followed it up with what seemed a 'come here and say it' to someone in the midfield. From the midfield group at that point I would guess Jordan Lewis or Sam Mitchell.
  4. I think i read somewhere that as part of his contract at Ainslie, they provided him with a pushbike and told him to use it to get to and from training.
  5. Pederson will need to lift for round 1 with Dawes out. Howe, Viney, Vince and Watts to be made way for (if fit). VDB was good as the sub, really hunted the footy and used his height well.
  6. Great. That will make the Queen's birthday game even less of a family outing.
  7. Toumpas limped off before the 12-a-side games and got looked at. Joined in for the first game and then came straight off shaking his head while he took his training top off. Just sayin'.
  8. Cheers. Hoping for a great morning, kids don't know we're going yet. To be honest, i'd rather take them in January but we're not making the trek to Casey, that's for sure.
  9. Thank you for the tips. Will be continuing on to make a day of it afterwards so I think we'll try Alexandra.
  10. Hate to get back on topic , but can anybody advise where would be the best place to park for the session tomorrow. Will be driving in with the Mrs and the 3 kids and we are all attending our first open training. Don't want to turn up on time and then spend 40 minutes parking and walking.
  11. I love breakfast and couldn't get through the morning without it. The following takes a bit of prep every 5 or 6 days depending on your batch size but will fill you up until lunch. Can just use normal honey or replace with maple syrup, can also experiment with diff rent dried fruits (banana, chopped dates etc). Can even try different nuts. Tastes awesome with almond milk. http://www.paleocupboard.com/granola.html
  12. Agreed. But Viv was one that seemed to impress quite a few people as he worked through last year and some were suggesting he would be best 22. In all fairness, he didn't get to show a lot at the top level though. Now we have our new recruits and it will be interesting where he now sits in terms of preference.
  13. You will probably go through a 'tired' period after a week and a bit. Fear not though, it's only temporary. Try this website out if you haven't already, the recipes and ideas are pretty good.
  14. Apologies for the misinterpreted post. As a Health teacher I'm always scouring the papers for anything I can use in class and i remembered seeing the report on eating chicken off the bone when i read the banter about aggression and eating meat. It's a pity there aren't more people in the world that follow the mantra of 'each to their own'.
  15. Thanks dee-luded, but I was being facetious (or at least trying to be).
  16. Couldn't help myself http://www.breitbart.com/system/wire/upiUPI-20140430-130913-7085
  17. Find yourself an easy granola recipe and smash that into you for breakfast w00dy. It takes a bit of time to make, but it's well worth it.
  18. Grain and dairy free. Grain foods (carbs) spike insulin which triggers the body to hold onto it's fat stores. Dairy is seen as an inflammatory food group so people believe the body will work better without it. Some dairy can also be reasonably high in lactose which would unnecessarily increase carb consumption. Paleo still allows carbs but in natural sources. Honey, fruit (some are better than others), maple syrup, molasses etc. As long as the high protein and high fat foods are consumed with fruits or vegetables, the fibre helps the food to digest slower which allows for limited insulin release and a feeling of fullness for a longer period of time. It takes a couple of weeks for the body to adjust to a state of fat burning but once it does, energy levels are even, moods are apparently more even and fats are burned more easily. Carb loading will still occur in athletes that require bursts of energy or those that operate above 70% maximum heart rate for extended periods of time as the anaerobic (glucose/carb sourced energy systems) are required in these situations. For non-athletes or those that operate in more endurance type sports, the diet can be unaltered. Primal is a similar idea although this diet allows for more dairy products.
