They didn't even mention it in the interview which I found odd. We know that his foot/toe has been giving him a heap of grief. Why not mention that the problem is over/being managed

Watched it a few times now. I can't get a read if we were taking Holmes or not. If we were, we weren't overly concerned and were happy to take the two we got. Not sure where everyone is getting the Goodwin conspiracy from. He looked fine to me.

Champion Data are not trying to make a point. Its an odd analogy you are trying to make. I watched enough of Mason Cox's over the last few years to know he isn't elite.

Yes. But we aren't really talking about a basic mistake are we? It's not like they put Mason Cox's name up there by mistake is it? If the kids point out that the teacher has made a mistake the teacher would wipe the answer out and put the correct answer up. This isn't what Champion Data have done. They have put Mason Cox's name up on the board thinking its the correct answer. We know it isn't. This isn't the first time they have done this. Instead of looking at their formula and recognising that its not right they continue to give the wrong answer.

Jeez... what a bunch of buzz kills some of the posters on here have become. People have been declaring draftees to be champions since I started reading this page back in 2003. Besides the tounge in cheek call that he will win a brownlow, all I think people are doing is getting excited because we have a 194cm endurance machine and we think he might be a player.

Played outside mid as a junior. We then decided that we didnt have enough inside mids so trained him in that role. They must have known he didn't have the tank to do it at the top level? Strange choice otherwise.

Listened to the Gus and Gawn podcast this morning. The hype is real re: fitness. They said he is a freak and Gawn thought it was an achievement to be within 40 meters of him.

Interesting. Our game plan since Goody has come on board has been to move the ball quickly by hand or foot. We traditionally haven't been big on the run and carry which is why I think Hunt was moved from the backline when it was clearly his best position. I really have doubts if Hunt will be anything more than depth from now on. Same with Melksham.

Indeed. He certainly isnt worth the money he was paid but he was very good in 16 and 17. His 2015 was also strong. This is one of those threads where you realise that a number of the louder posters dont watch many non demon games.

It hasn't been reported in this thread. But in other training reports its been mentioned that he has been training with the mids.

1.Tmac and Fritsch rotating forward and wing 2. Hunt and Melksham moved to other positions 3. Ben Brown in. 4. Hannan moved clubs. Thats a huge amount of changes to our forward structure and I [censored] love it.

Indeed. It's great news. It just seems that progress is slow. That might just be my naivety with understanding how long this process takes. I'm sure what we hear is just the tip of the iceberg. Wow this is slow progress. So we have been looking for options for the past few years and the progress we have made is to get the state government to 'look' too.

The opening post is a tough question. Assuming all our guns play to the same level as they did last year it would have to be... Brayshaw Pickett Ben Brown Weideman Melksham The last one is a hope and a prayer. He was so damaging in 2018 but has been nowhere near it for the last 2 years. He didnt get dropped last year because (I assume) he was a leader up forward which we lacked big time, but his performance was terrible. 4 out of my 5 are forwards. It was a rubbish up there last year.

It is the biggest hole in our list. We have recruited 3 players who could fill the position too but I doubt they would be ready for the big time. I wonder if we just continue to rotate with Vanders and Tomlinson like we did last year with Jones helping out from half forward flank (could see Jackson rotating through here too), or if Baker is ready to take the spot full time. I have my doubts.

I wasn't one of the posters who thought he was going to come on in leaps and bounds after 2018, but he is 12 months behind where I think he should be. Hope the pressure isn't getting too much for him. Hopefully Ben Brown will take a heap of pressure off of him and he can settle into his natural game. Hoping for Sammy to play 20 games this year and have 25+ goals.

Indeed. Its something that you would read from one of the posters on here which you wouldn't even bother responding to. I was shocked that it was in a fox footy column.
