  1. Can someone remind me of when the findings are supposed to be submitted for this? Seriously, I am getting SFA done at work right now.
  2. Is that the bloke from Preston?
  3. On face value, I would voted for him to resign just to purely get some respite from the media. There is no doubting in my mind he has many enemies and this attracts the vitriol thrown at the club. Sure he's helped wipe the debt and done many other good things with the sponsor issues (or was he just lucky) but it's time to start fresh at the corporate level as well.
  4. GWS supporters must be crying folau about this. Ed: Or the Crows.
  5. If we had finished in the top 4 this year and looked threatening then I could probably live with some level of disciplinary action handed down from the AFL. The NRL Storm situation comes to mind. Facts are we have not played finals footy since 06 and we are still way off the pace after [censored] up 99% of our alledgedly tanked for draft selections and gone backwards from an overly offensive game plan implemented by an ordinary coach who was too soft on the playing group. I think the best outcome for both the MFC and the AFL in this situation is to have a major spill of senior heads. For the club to be kicked again after what is arguably one of our toughest seasons ever would be devastating for the players and supporters. I reckon Gillon McLachlin made the right decision to stay on at the AFL because AD will be down the road by the time all this concludes.
  6. Mitch Clark will be so hungry and as long as his foot heals 100% I expect a great year with support from Dawes. Tom McDonald with a few more kgs of muscle will show more confidence which in-turn will help his clearance work from the back half. Jack Trengove knows he's got the ability as do most of his supporters. Time to light the after-burners, Jack.
  7. He's a proven AFL player that's getting a little long in the tooth. If anything, he's bound to create competition for spots in the seniors and that is a good thing.
  8. He'll probably kick 6 and be BOG. Is that expectation?
  9. Yeah, you are getting in early. Very early. The only dead certainty in my team at this stage will be a massive cash cow. Jack Viney.
  10. Mate you really need to start from the beginning of this thread.
  11. Well they've got me again regardless of the new inclusions. A few more wins will obviously pick it up. That said, I reckon if we can get at least a 50/50 win loss by the time memberships close, we should be aiming for around the high 30's.
  12. In exchange for pick 44. Not a bad deal for the Doggies... I reckon he'll go alright with them. http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/150179/default.aspx
  13. Maybe not but you're a pelican and that is a certain fact.
  14. Firstly, you came out saying I had both statements incorrect but it is widely acknowledged that Neeld wanted Taggert. It is also blindingly obvious that Neeld moved Prendergasts cheese but you're more willing to reference an article from the HS as gospel that BP resigned, just for the sake of goading me and basically labelling me a liar.
  15. I stated at the beginning that it was based on no evidence whatsoever but it appears it is general consensus. You're the one banging on about facts that even you don't have. Irony.
  16. Personally I think he'll be picked up by the Dogs with either 5 or 6. They are in the frame for a young and tough player like Stringer. Would be dreaming if he slipped to 20 and too early for 4. Still reckon Wines is our man.
  17. You don't know that. I trust you're able to see the irony in your response.
  18. Paint it however you like. BP did not fit into the new regime - he knew it and so did the average punter. If Bailey was still at the helm BP would still be there and not at Carlton "pursuing a coaching career." Your linked article is factual in sense of an outcome only.
  19. I think by the time Taggert was drafted, BP was effectively a figure head in that role and the coaching group would've had more influence. I am saying this based on no evidence whatsoever ither than the fact he was given the arse not long after.
  20. That's an interesting and unfortunate question. I don't know how the AFL compensate clubs following the death of a player.
  21. The one that's significantly more than yours.
  22. Will Dawes save the Demons? http://www.bigpondsport.com/will-dawes-save-the-demons/tabid/91/newsid/96996/default.aspx Quite a good article.
  23. I wonder what he's done to pi55 the people off at North so much that they desperately want him gone. I'm sure due dilligence and character checks will be thoroughly carried out by Neeld that he won't be bringing any bad attitude or is a person that riles other players.
  24. Showed some great decision making under pressure in the highlights from the game against the Power. Strong grab, clean hands, nice tap-work. On the surface, a far better option than Sellar.
