G. LYON - FOOTY CLASSIFIED
Jaded No More replied to The Song Formerly Known As's topic in Melbourne Demons
Gary Lyon is like a prostitute, he [censored] you, and takes no accountability for the STDs. He chose Neeld and now he wants someone else to do something. Well gees, I wish you stayed out two years ago. -
Dee's Players at Melbourne Storm game tonight.
Jaded No More replied to Old Man Rivers's topic in Melbourne Demons
Anyone who works in a high pressure, high stress industry, knows the value of taking time off to recharge. Burning out is a very real issue for a lot of people and its important to have a work life balance, which most of us don't seem to have. But when work is bad, it's especially important. So I for one am glad they are taking time off. -
That guy is me, only male, older and with red hair. Poor thing. We all feel it. I know I was holding back tears and alcoholism watching us. Years of therapy and victories are required to fix our shattered souls.
-
I want him to shut up and get on with it. Too much talking this week.
-
You people need to get better friends. Not even my Essendon friends stuck the boot in this week. What's the point? It's not like we are to blame and your friends should know you are hurting.
-
But the issue here isn't Dunn. He is a terrible player and we all know that. But he didn't play on Saturday so obviously the issues apply to everyone on the list not just Dunn.
-
Read it. Want to punch myself in the face as it would be less painful than reading anymore of this spin. How can you offer no solutions and expect people to stick by this club? Only the seriously desperate and mentally insane, like me, would keep turning up to watch this crap.
-
On the one hand, I agree. She can't be totally privvy to what goes on inside the club and she, like any mum, is trying to defend her son. However, her actions of going on radio and publicly abusing the club screams of extreme measures by a desperate person. Her son didn't even play on Saturday and she would have no interest in lying and getting her son into hot water. It's obvious that something is not right. To lose the way we are, goes way beyond ability or lack thereof. If Neeld got rid of all those who didn't tow the line, but kept Dunn (who is not even a good player!), then he must feel that Dunn has some valid issues. As do many of his teammates obviously. Whoever is responsible for pissing our players right off to the point where it is impacting their performance to such extreme levels, needs to go immediately. But apparently the club is happy to keep turning a blind eye while the rest of us are bleeding.

148 > 186... Bailey was far better than Neeld.
Jaded No More replied to Pitchy's topic in Melbourne Demons
186 was an utter disgrace, a disaster from which there was no return. 186 also happened against one of the greatest teams of the modern era, on their home turf, amidst off field drama. Saturday night was on our ground, against a team we've beaten the past two years, with minimal injuries, with everything to prove, and with Mitch Clark. 148 was worse than 186, and it will be a coach killer just like 186 was, but the killing will be slower, and the damage may be greater. -
There is so much to feel heartbroken over right now, and Watts is up there near the top of the list. He is struggling, he is scared of the footy, and scared of making a mistake, and scared of not doing well, and in turn that plays with his mind and makes him play worse. He is out of form, and he has inherent issues with his physical application that have to be resolved, but he is also a human being. He has done nothing wrong to anyone, and more than that, he has always been professional and represented the club well off the field, so why then do supporters feel the need to wish him constant failure? He needs a kick up the butt, and he needs to be dropped to find some touch, and he needs a coach who plays him where he naturally should play (half forward flank) and support him, rather than tossing him around like a rag doll. And most of all, he needs pathetic scumbags to stop booing him at every turn. He may never become a successful footballer, but he didn't ask to be a number one pick, and he will leave this game 10 years from now with a whole lot more dignity that some of our supporters will.

Except if Gillies is in the team next week I am not going. Not even joking. I actually have something on which I am going to miss to go watch us get smashed, yet again, like an idiot, but if Gillies makes it through his disturbingly bad performance, I am out.

Only if he brings Scully back with him, and Scully senior. In other words, hell no.

Wonder what PAUL ROOS is up to these days???
Jaded No More replied to Pata's topic in Melbourne Demons
If we don't at least inquire about his services and ask what it would take to get him on board, then our administration should give themselves an uppercut. It costs nothing to ask, and you just never know your luck. If all it takes is money, or getting rid of certain people around the club, then bloody hell get it done. I would also hope we chat to Williams, Eade and anyone else who we might think is worth while. And FFS, stop listening to Gary Lyon!!!!!!!! -
MFC Media Appearances on "Black Sunday"
Jaded No More replied to Gorgoroth's topic in Melbourne Demons
And what did you learn that you didn't already know? Schwab is a smooth talker, he can spin dog sh*t and make it seem like gold. We know that, but it explains nothing about why we are playing the way we are, or what we plan to do about it, or indeed why he has anything to do with the footy department. He has zero footy coaching credentials, so he should not be involved. Period. One interview, by our president, would have been sufficient. Multiple interviews by multiple people talking the same old boring cliches is a waste of time. I'd like to hear from this club when something substantial happens, or heaven forbids, we win a goddamn game. This club has given us nothing for two years now. Our coach is lost for answers, while the others are spinning the company line, as you would expect, and doing nothing to ease our minds in the process. Talk less, and get on with stopping this club from dying a slow and painful death. Prove to us that you made the right choice and you can manage this club successfully. -
MFC Media Appearances on "Black Sunday"
Jaded No More replied to Gorgoroth's topic in Melbourne Demons
Words are cheap, and so is our brand right now. Could they just stop talking in every media outlet, and get on with trying to fix this horrible car-crash of a mess we find ourselves in? All this media chatter does is appease the simple minded, and makes the rest of us more annoyed at the lack of answers and direction. -
This one cracks me up, because it's so damn accurate http://beingademonsfan.tumblr.com/post/47323143717/a-melbourne-player-chasing-after-a-loose-ball

What If Our Players Just Aren't Very Good
Jaded No More replied to Chook's topic in Melbourne Demons
Nobody can argue that some of our players aren't great and some are downright pitiful, but we also have some unquestionable quality on the list and we aren't as bad as the results over the last two years would suggest. Two years ago we won 7 games with largely a crappier list. We have since regressed to the depth of crapness and it is unacceptable. -
Maybe he shouldn't have wasted time, money and energy getting crap like Gillies and focused on getting some C grade midfielders to help our F grade midfield then? And no, Rodan on half a kneecap doesn't count. Seriously, the folk on Demonland have been complaining about our midfield for years now. Still, no change. Besides, there is always Mitch Clark. Poor man on one foot is trying to play everybody's position on the ground simultaneously. He actually got one more clearance than some of our midfielders did tonight. Oh the shame!
-
Another moment of mismanagement from the senior coach. He moved him to the wing, then up forward, then he subbed him off after he got the ball, looked up, saw an empty forward line, so fluffed around with the ball and turned it over. HE HAD NOBODY IN THE FORWARDLINE. I swear I scream this every week. Our players are so devoid of confidence and this stuff just kills them further. I know Watts is as soft as a pink marshmallow and be needs to get his [censored] together, but this incident does nothing to help.
-
I'm in. I'm in hell, and should be in therapy, and every week I resent this club more, but FML here we are.
-
When they announced the sub on the big screen was being activated, there was a big cheer. It was about as low as cheering when a player goes off injured. Woeful and really sad for Watts, not to mention his family.
-
Plenty of morons in red and blue around me doing it.

Reality Check on Neeld & Schwab's future
Jaded No More replied to Yeats8's topic in Melbourne Demons
As always, we have good intentions but we go about them the wrong way. Bailey needed to go, but they should have given him the rest of the year, not ambush him like a dog, when he was following board instructions to tank. I don't think we need to sack Neeld in round 2, but the responsible thing would be to start scouting for quality, experienced coaches now, to look for a replacement CEO. Not to throw our the bath water, the baby and then fill up the bath with dirty water again and throw another baby in there. If someone at this club would be so brave as to learn from our many previous mistakes, maybe this time we won't epically [censored] ourselves again. Maybe, just maybe, we can fix this club. -
Last week was different because it felt instinctive as you say, but listening to people cheer Watts being subbed off was pathetic. It does nothing for this club and nothing for his confidence. Imagine what you'd feel like if people booed you at work. It made my heart drop and I agreed with his substitution. I'm all for expressing anger and not being a "she'll be right" supporter, and booing the group off is fine but abusing them is just dumb, it's rude, and it makes you a [censored]. I hope anyone who made persona and abusive remarks to our players goes to work on Monday and gets told by their boss that they are crap.
-
It's just a sad situation for everyone. His career is shot to [censored], and so is our club it seems. Nobody wins here, nobody. I wouldn't want to be a coach, and I appreciate everything he is doing because I know it comes for a good place of wanting to see this club succeed, but as the senior coach, you can't be lost for explanations, you need to know what is wrong and how to fix it, and he seems lost and spent. I feel for him on a personal level just like I feel for a lot of our players. They must feel so utterly hopeless and humiliated most of the time. But at the end of the day, this club can't afford to keep going down this path of destruction and this is what it comes down to. There are many many stakeholders who deserve better.
