Teacher tells her class that tomorrow she'll be asking 3 kids to spell the word "urinate" and that they'll need to be able to use it in a sentence. Next day Teach say's OK who would like to spell urinate? 3 kids, Mary, Anne and Johnny fling up their hands. Mary your first, Mary spells urinate correctly. "excellent Mary, now, can you put it into a sentence? Mary says "This morning I saw a dog urinate on a tree" Excellent says Teach, now, Anne, Anne stands up, spells urinate correctly "Well done Anne, now, can you put it into a sentence?" Anne say's "if I'm in class and I need to urinate I have to put up my hand and ask to go to the toilet" "Excellent sentence Anne" says Teach. Slightly reluctantly, Teacher asks Johnny to spell urinate, Johnny stands up and slowly spells out "u. r. i. n. a. t. e" "Very well done Johnny" says Miss "but...can you put it into a sentence?" Johnny confidently replies "My Dad reckons urinate but, if you had bigger t!ts you'd be a 10"

Don't know a lot about Gaff myself but sounds good. I think from how I'm reading what's coming out of the club the question that may be needed to be asked is, has he got "grunt"?

I mentioned it in the Brad Green thread and melbman brought it up here "Elite compliance" we're starting to see what this means, the players already know, this is warfare mentality anything outside the rules has a consequence. Anybody see Warhorse where a man stays back in the trenches and is supposed to shoot anybody who retreats? Sam, knowing this, will cop it sweet (lucky for him with the timing) and will or won't make it with the MFC accordingly, if not, his talent will prove useful in a trade!

Mark Neeld has stated that he and the FD have asked the players for "elite compliance", this is serious to the extreme and very important for us all to understand, we have to be prepared that those unable to comply to an elite level will be shown the door at the end of this season and imo the way Brad is conducting himself and if he can have a consistent year he won't be one of them.

At the time I thought we'd have beaten Carlton if we had got through that prelim but I now think the second half showed we weren't mentally ready, we needed to hold Hawthorn reasonably well, not go into the Grand having won by a few points after Bucks had the chance to win it for them. As pointed out in a previous post if we had made the 87 GF I doubt we'd have won but by gee the experience would've helped for the 88 GF.

Jamar has stated he wants a leadership role, I think he'll get that, whether he has impressed sufficiently to be Captain we'll see but I can picture him with the boys tightly huddled around him and that focused look he has.
