  1. I think we always knew his level Bob, haha
  2. Best sig ever! And I just thought the black hole fit well
  3. I don't disagree rpfc, but I think that maybe the point of his post is that if all those palyers can learn/be taught to play to their abilities, then we have no major holes. For instance, Bennell is a player who cops alot of shite from supporters, and rightly so because he has bucketloads of talent, but it is the most frustrating thing on earth watching him squander it. So looking at our list, he is a black hole, but if he plays to his potential he is best 22 in a premiership side. I may be wrong, but that is how I took tonatopias post. And I too love the "mummies [censored]". I actually did LOL.
  4. Geelong and Hawthorn get nil, but the Filth get a couple of mil??? How the eff does that work? By all reports I hear the Filth are leading the way as far as off field expenditure and quality of facilities, leading me to think that they are the ones the equalisation money is weighed up against, therefore they should be the only ones not getting a brass rhazoo. I just can't work this bloody commission out, I really can't. I've no complaints about what we are to receive (except that I wish we didn't need it ) but surely something needs to be done about this Collingwood love they have going on. edit: I just read the article on AFL website regarding this, and there was no mention of Collingwood, however Geelong and the Hawks both get the basic package of 3.25 mil.
  5. What a champ Beamer is. Look out next year as he is uninjured and ready to hit it over the preseason, and I reckon he'll go even better next year.
  6. I will admit I am not a fan, and didn't enjoy much about his 2010 at all, finding myself screaming his name at the tele on the regular. This year, he has taken a massive step forward. His spoils in defence were sublime, saving us from a world of hurt with ease of regularity. But this is where the love affair ends. When he is in offence, I cringe. As a leader he offers little. I am absolutely willing to give him a massive improvement tick from last year, but for my point of view, I cannot give him 2nd over Jones, Martin, McKenzie or Trenners. All of this is pointless though, as my opinion counts for nought, but it is my opinion and it won't change.
  7. No way should we spend it on desks, what with Gazza and McLardy smashing their fists on them like they have been, they're far too valuable for that Seriously though, I hate that we have to take money from the dictators, but the timing is impeccable. We have the list with the talent, but they need moulding into their potential. This money will help us perfect the mould so that they can stand on their own.
  8. Haaaaahahahahaha. I really did LOL. Lots. That's a bloody ripper PSD!
  9. I hope it wasn't "the" desk, as I think that's a bit valuable to be smashing
  10. What a crack up. Loved Trenners bit about wanting to start back tomorrow too. If that's the kind of inspiration this bloke can instill in his first meeting.... hold on for the ride
  11. Thanks for your effort Andy, greatly appreciated by us out of towners. And what a coach it seems we have gotten. If ever anyone has made all the right noises, it is him. It's now action time, and for some reason, I really feel he will back up his talk with his actions.
  12. WOW, what a game that was. Just finished watching it after work. I'm devastated that the filth won, I really thought that the Hawks were gonna rain on fat eddies parade. Alas it was not to be. If next Saturdays game is that good, I'll be a happy fella. Couldn't agree more dee-eee. Was a really rough last quarter umpiring wise. Unfortunately the umps helped sway the game, but the pies did do there bit by turning up in the last as well.
  13. Congrats to Beamer, a very deserved winner. A couple surprises for me in the top 5, but congrats to all the boys. Any chance of footage of Beamers speech too Andy?? I reckon it'll be a ripper.
  14. Haha, you continue to amaze me. Not only do you do all of this, but you give us the feeling of being there as well
  15. There's video of it on the Hun article Andy. Looking forward to footage of what Neeldy had to say though God I wish I could be there.
  16. WOW, just when I think the big guy has done it all, he comes out and amazes me a little bit more. What an absolute inspiration he is. Take care Jimma.
  17. 1 - Jones 2 - Moloney 3 - Watts 4 - Martin 5 - Sylvia Most Improved - Stefan Martin Best 1st Year Player - Jeremy Howe Best Clubman - Jack Trengove
  18. Wouldn't be popular sentiment round these here parts WWS, but I'd be exceptionally happy with having Dermie working with our boys. If they became anywhere near close to him as players then we would be in a very happy place.
  19. Agree wholeheartedly with the italic bit. It is funny though watching the look on Gazza and JBs faces when he does it, trying to cut him short.
  20. Really???? That's a bit bizarre I must say. Who gives a [censored] about the shows methods, it is publicity for our club. The more shows we get boys on the better IMO, regardless of their "methods".
  21. Well I will look forward to it. We seem to be way down the list in having players on show like this, so I see it as a positive step that we are starting to get a look in nowadays. And Jack is great on camera, so I'm very keen to see it.
  22. Interesting this, although reading all the other posts, it is fair to say that he will largely just be employing the midfield vision that Neeld has. That also may have something to do with the backline troubles this year, as it is fair to assume that he was just employing the backline vision that Bailey had, although probably with a little bit more leeway than I'd imagine Neeld will allow in his first years.
  23. I don't profess to know much about Royal, but as you said, pretty much all I hear on here is negatives so I'm not feeling too thrilled about this one. Time will tell. The other thing is that our backline was nowhere near at the level this year to what they were in 2010, with the difference being Royal. So, as I said, time will tell. I do hope though that it's not a balls up, because our midfield needs to be progressing lots from next season onwards.
