2.6 over two weeks isn't good enough from any forward. Kicking needs work, or something is off. He kicked 7.1 only a couple of weeks ago.
-
Surely Neal-Bullen gets a game soon. Surely.

Lol. I wasn't calling you out wayne. I just mentioned that I'd been watching for a while and Jack hadn't said anything for the duration of my viewing. Just giving you my experience of watching the footy show tonight, which I couldn't do for more than 40 minutes anyway. But feel free to release some frustration!

Really? I've been watching for a while and Jack has barely uttered a word, only because Newman and his enormous noggin are dominating the cameras as usual. Also, I think the pink hats for this weeks game are a crock of [censored]. Why is the Red Energy logo about twice as big as the logo for the breast cancer foundation? Ridiculous.

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 8

Think you're right, ANB is definitely a better replacement for Kent than Michie if it ends up that way. -
Yes, but... I'd rather keep this thing that everyone wants, which is our first superstar in a very long time. Plz don't leave, Jesse.
-
The issue is that it is ambiguous. Does he mean where he wants to be geographically, or in terms of an environment of success as you mentioned above? I'm leaning toward the latter because it would be a bold statement to make in terms of the former, which would indicate he's really thinking about heading back west.

If he ends up being right, will it matter?

Also made team of the week.. again. Legend.

How much football have Demonland members played?
Little Richard replied to Nasher's topic in Melbourne Demons
I don't tie it back to a posters ability to comment on football, but it is interesting to know nonetheless. -
Been waiting for this all day. Thanks!

Funny statistic. He's clearly still learning a lot as a player but at times looks so composed under pressure, especially when standing in a hole down back or splitting a pack up forward. Such a good role player for us at the moment - reminds me a lot of Leigh Brown in his good years, playing third foil to Cloke and Dawes.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN KENNEDY

Josh Mahoney has been the only one to retain his role from the darkest days, hasn't he? Says a lot about his character and determination and he has definitely coupled well with Roos and the rest of the new football department. -

Todd and Jason Taylor also deserve some serious credit. -
He does have to work on his kicking but for a guy that has played a handful of games, Wagner is tracking very well.

Effing sensational. He moves so well for a guy his size, and it's excellent to see that his pivot and turn seems unaffected by the knee reconstruction. Will be a beast through traffic. -

Who did you play for in the VAFA pf? I've played in the VAFA and Northern FL. A thoroughly unimpressive career that continues with the odd game here and there. -

Has our recruiting over the last 3 years or so been better than any other team? I think it's definitely possible. Such a brilliant contrast to the years before that. -
The player rankings are total rubbish. No account for current form. Looking at competitions statistics and averages provide a better base, but at the end of the day they're still statistics and statistics can only say so much.

Seems to be very stiff at the moment. -

I'm with you. His kicking is an asset and our back line looks very small without him. Not comfortable with Garland on either Wright or Lynch. -
I received quite a bit of sympathy, and that was worse than the mockery.
-
But what if there is a glaring hole in the sides requirements and it can only be filled by a player that is developing their craft? Because at the moment, this is kind of how it is. If there was clear option to replace Frost, by all means send him back to Casey to work on his game. But at the moment there isn't. Perhaps when Dawes returns, depending on his form, Frost can make way.
-
Would like to see ANB rewarded for his form, has been sensational for Casey. I'd drop Harmes before Hunt, just to give him another week. Showed nice dash a couple of times on Saturday, and that's something that our back line is lacking. Stretch probably needs another good performance before he is back in the frame.

I agree to a point but I think the main issue should be Pedo vs Frost. Weed shouldn't be in the conversation yet because we all know how damaging it can be to throw a key forward into the mix too early. Hogan the obvious exception, because he is a freak. I think Pedo is a better option at this stage, but the development needs to be put into Frost. Therefore it's a balancing act.
