  1. Personally think the bye can't come soon enough for Maxy. Looks pretty ragged and fair enough, he has been carrying a huge role for the last 9 weeks. Might even be worth playing Spencer alongside him for a couple of weeks to take some weight off, if it doesn't throw out the balance of the team too much. Obviously he's a lock for the best 22.
  2. 3 blokes that are hard to split: Lindsay Thomas, Hayden Ballantyne and Brent Harvey. The last of them I can't help but admire for his longevity, but all three deliver cheap hits, be pretty soft and pick up plenty of cheap stats.
  3. Big call Biff. If he continues on this trajectory though, why not?
  4. If they were over the cap, could they be sanctioned? Take them for all they're worth! Obviously it wouldn't happen.
  5. Barrett is a cretin. Who let him out of his cage?
  6. King is such a gronk. Seeing him at the Tigers game on the ground the other week, in suit and tie and being cheered on as if he were a legend of the game, annoyed me so much. Average player and going by the people he appears to associate with, average bloke.
  7. Terlich is done, Garland might be done and Dunn could also be in the firing line. M Jones has showed promise this year but I think he may also be in danger. JKH showed so much promise in his first year... what has happened? May also be a candidate.
  8. With that logic, why would another club want him? Trengove won't/effectively cannot be traded. He will stay.
  9. Better down back, but if Hogan left I think we'd absolutely be able to snare both of Prestia and Hurley. Hurley was pretty good up forward early in his career so could play as a swing man. Would still need a dedicated forward to replace Hogan though. FWIW I am convinced Hogan will stay, and therefore we'll end up with Prestia, but not Hurley IMO.
  10. Can't believe they came out and said that, what a joke. Demonland would have burned down the G if that were us.
  11. They won't get both of Prestia and Hurley. Prestia will come to us, I think. And he is being grossly underrated by a lot of people on here. The last couple of years have been injury affected but before that he was a jet.
  12. So that depends on the coaching staff, and where they'll decide to play him.
  13. Free kick Hawthorn.
  14. We needed at least a dozen players to lift, not just Watts.
  15. Classic form that Watts has become the point of focus after a loss, even though he contributed 3 goals. He has been great this season, and there were a number worse than him on the weekend. Give him a break.
  16. McDonald and Frost, with OMac, Wagner and Garland to plug whichever holes required each week. That also allows us to play Pedersen as the 3rd forward until Weideman is ready to make an impact.
  17. Shoot me, but I still think Frost should be playing down back.
  18. He's a muppet. A coach as intelligent as Ross Lyon would know that tanking hurts a club more than receiving picks a little lower in the order. Nathan Buckley on the other hand...
  19. I thought the idea of putting him back was so that he didn't have to stick the concrete mitts in the air, but rather punch it away? Dawesy seems like a genuinely great guy, but watching him trying and take the ball out in front is one of the most agonising things about watching footy.
  20. Who the F knows, they'll probably replace Jetta with King. ANB can't seem to buy a game.
  21. The angst over Hogan and Fremantle is enough to try and cope with, thank you very much. At the end of their careers, I think we'll look back and be pretty happy with the decision to take Watts at 1.
  22. Apologies, meant to write he has never played finals. Fixed. We've barely played finals in my lifetime, anyway.
  23. Surely trolling. Watts is playing career best footy, we are stricken for quality tall forwards and he has never played finals. Your logic is breathtaking.
  24. Awesome! This news made my Monday.
  25. I'm annoyed at his kicking the last couple of weeks, but he will still be an absolute gun. Hopefully with us, not Fremantle.
