  1. Watts has always been a barometer for us. Must sign him.
  2. That's sensational, great work RGRS. And well done to the club, it must have been a real thrill for the young guys.
  3. old dee, I could never have imagined this kind of optimism from you!
  4. Devastating. But funny how history repeats in some ways. I'm holding my breath.
  5. Aaron Black from the Roos could be worth a look in, if the price is right. Tomlinson and Crouch are the others that interest me, though Crouch doesn't really add much that we don't have.
  6. http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/sport/afl/expert-opinion/warren-tredrea/the-day-of-the-demons-is-coming-warns-warren-tredrea/news-story/c9835a29be3a976c2bb08c261d8d8697 That one should be accessible if you can't get into to the Herald Sun article.
  7. Who in their right mind would want to go to a club that just announced they'd pretty much purposely farked their own list to appease their simple minded fans?
  8. Not so sure about that. Hasn't happened often, but when O'Meara has been completely fit he looks a phenomenal player. Plenty of class and pace as well as hard at it. Probably not easy to split the two at their best though.
  9. That's a disgrace, hope he's ashamed of himself. ANB is a champ.
  10. But is it really that far overs picket? As the contracts continue to roll over and the new money pours in, the player salaries will continue to rise.
  11. I'd see McDonald at the MFC for $400K, comfortably. Compared to what we'd have to offer to obtain a defender of similar skill, he is definitely worth it. He obviously has issues with his disposal but I don't think McDonald is easily outbodied. Probably ends up away from his man due to the 'diamond defence'.
  12. Wellll I read it this morning and got excited. Still a nice comment.
  13. Shocking call. Seeing as the average player now receives about $340000 (?) PA, he deserves more than that for sure. He's our number one tall defender and players like Tom aren't easy to find.
  14. Hogan was quoted in an article today as saying Petrac is 'the most explosive player he has ever seen'. Love it.
  15. Yeah... from memory he might have played half/half. Love is probably an overstatement. I think he is regarded as a good potential key defender by a lot of people and his attributes suit this role, IMO. To me he looked much better down back than he has up forward. Has only played 29 games and is 22 years old.
  16. I'm positive he played in the backline last season, and looked pretty solid before he was injured.
  17. I tend to agree. Frost is much, much better in defence than up forward. Wagner may end up being that third tall that we need, though I'd like to see a bit more from him in the air.
  18. When he signs, it will be a 2 year extension. He will be signing with us.
  19. People don't play football professionally for the same reason they'd work at a bank. Poor comparison.
  20. Clearly, but the average Richmond supporter has a certain kind of blind faith coupled with an IQ as high as Cotchin's jumper number, so they'll believe him.
  21. Good that we are playing tough, not good that Tom hasn't signed yet. Can understand what he is doing of course, but we cannot afford to lose him.
  22. Personally think the bye can't come soon enough for Maxy. Looks pretty ragged and fair enough, he has been carrying a huge role for the last 9 weeks. Might even be worth playing Spencer alongside him for a couple of weeks to take some weight off, if it doesn't throw out the balance of the team too much. Obviously he's a lock for the best 22.
  23. 3 blokes that are hard to split: Lindsay Thomas, Hayden Ballantyne and Brent Harvey. The last of them I can't help but admire for his longevity, but all three deliver cheap hits, be pretty soft and pick up plenty of cheap stats.
