Boak has done nothing this year to justify a high pick like #4. Pick 12 and a player would be my preffered option.

Just how good will Nic Naitanui become?
Little Richard replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
But haven't you heard? Someone said they have it on good authority that we are offering up Jack Watts and our first two picks for Natanui, so we have to talk about him! -

Wow, that is a big call. Agree with this, Natanui doesn't touch it enough, where as Watson can turn the tide of a game himself. -
Jared says no one is safe at Melbourne
Little Richard replied to beelzebub's topic in Melbourne Demons
Ah yes I get it now, my mind is too clouded with negativity to have seen that first -
Would we welcome Brett Ratten back?

"I can see the light. We just need to get better quickly, or I won't be here ." Hmm this sounds strangely like a threat. -
Fairfax (The Age) dropping the ball...

The tigers one might just be a play on words considering they were talking about a caravan park? The other looks like a glaringly obvious error. -
Caddy - do we want him and if so what's he worth?
Little Richard replied to binman's topic in Melbourne Demons
A massively front loaded contract could work here, and on a long term deal would save money for future stars. -
Caddy - do we want him and if so what's he worth?
Little Richard replied to binman's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yeah I agree with you there, hopefully JV will fill this role in 2013. -

Well look at Colin Sylvia RR. A bad attitude, and truck loads of arrogance. I don't think that has led to a tough, winning mentality on the field... maybe I have to change my glasses? -
Caddy - do we want him and if so what's he worth?
Little Richard replied to binman's topic in Melbourne Demons
Hasn't shown a whole lot so far, and I wouldn't want to give anything above mid to late 1st round. I went to school with Josh, and off the field he had a bad attitude and was a very arrogant kid, very full of himself. Never played footy with him though so couldn't comment on the on field aspect. -

Just seen a photo on Facebook of Marky J with Billy Stretch in the MFC facilities... interesting. Or could be nothing, but thought it was worth mentioning! -
Trade our first two picks for Pick 1?
Little Richard replied to Tyson4Brownlow's topic in Melbourne Demons
Wasn't Fyfe 2008, the same year as Watts? -
No I guess not but hopefully one day we can share in the glory of an MFC premiership!

I think for his first three or four games as a backman, Jack has been much more impressive than a standard 'distributor'. He has been getting better every week in this role and if he continues to improve like this we might end up with the best player of this type in the league. I'd take that over the CHF considering we now have Clark and some options for the future like Cook and possibly Garland.

I think it has been established that Watts won't become this type of player. On the other hand, does Cameron have Watts' elite disposal and composure? I don't think so. Watts is settling into the half back role very well, and I think he will thrive here for a while yet. Too late for comparisons, although I agree with you that Cameron is an absolute gun.

I find it ironic that Howe, picked up at 33, is probably the best performing of all our draft picks in the last couple of years (except probably Watts).
-
No, don't pay anyone that hasn't shown they can dominate at AFL level $$$ (which I am guessing is big money). That would be foolish. Stevens looks okay but yet to be convincing. As Jose said, don't give up anything too high.
-
I have faith in Spencer coming good, looked comfortable in the few games he played last year, but can't remember if he played in the NAB cup. Has been dominant at VFL level and is still very young. Saying that I think Stef could be an option as trade bait but I do enjoy watching him and hope he fits in somewhere.

Any news on Tapscott? Was he actually reported yesterday?
-
I was very happy to hear that Jamar had re signed, but I think 3 years could be too much.
-
Every side needs a player with the aggression of Tapscott, provides a bit more fear factor and unpredictability. He is our enforcer, and he is only 20 years old... love it.
