I'll be expecting Lyon to take a few wickets second innings if the pitch wears - bowled really well in the first innings. They definitely made the right choice in honoring Lyon's decent test form over Ahmed's shaky first class form.
Maybe not but we've definitely had our bad experiences with them - Morton, Sylvia and Dunn to name a few. I just think we will benefit more by going for a pure midfielder rather than taking a bit of a risk on a utility. Just my opinion though.
I like the sound of Freeman more to be honest, a pure midfielder. Utilities worry me as they could struggle to find a set position but it looks as though Scharenberg is a good player.
Jeez we did well in 2007.
The only year I think we come close to them is 2006 with Frawley and Riewoldt. The others have been rubbish, though we'll win out eventually with Toumpas vs Vlastuin.
Anyone seen 100 bloody acres? Low budget slasher flick, Australian and starring Angus Sampson and Damon Harriman.
Has the odd stat of being the third most illegally downloaded Australian film in the last few months. Also won a couple of awards and got some great reviews.
I agree, really looking forward to see Trengove free of the weight of the captaincy and over his foot issues.
If he can build on his first two years, he'll be a great player yet.
And Cook and Watts were going to be our 'twin towers' before they played a game with each other. Let's just calm down a bit and leave Hogan to do his thing quietly.
For all we know, God help me for saying it, Hogan could end up being the next Newton. Let's hold off our judgement until we see him play good, consistent AFL footy.
