  1. It's great to see Robbo finally giving us some positive spin but he's still a cretin of the lowest order.
  2. Something funny I saw yesterday after the game... there were two fellows, typical Carlton supporters, walking in front of me towards Wellington Parade and they were talking rubbish about why we won and we were lucky and excuse after excuse, blah blah blah. Then they started talking about Melbourne supporters and inevitably a joke came up along the lines of 'Oh, it mustn't be time to go to Mount Buller yet'. I chuckled to myself and continued to walk behind them up to Wellington Pde where they promptly jumped in a cab and said 'Lygon Street mate'. Classic.
  3. It's great though. All last night and this morning on facebook and other social media, it's Carlton which is now having the [censored] taken out of it with memes and other jokes. They've suddenly become the whipping boy and Carlton supporters are a laughing stock. I've not been happier about a win since I can remember.
  4. As long as we aren't short in the backline, I'd love to see him stay up forward. It's just great to have that flexibility, especially if someone goes down early in a game at one end. His set shot kicking was something that I thought could be a worry but he was actually very accurate and had a very straight set shot action. It was also funny at times to see him lead, get to the ball and spill the mark, as if he didn't expect to get it, or he was thinking about punching it away.
  5. I hope the move forward and a few more wins this season will reinvigorate Frawley's passion for the Dees because he is great up there.. It would be a huge win for us if he re-signed during the season and would boost everyone around him I believe and it will be a huge asset in the future having two great backmen in Frawley and Garland who are more than competent up forward. JKH will play a lot of games for this club and I didn't notice any of the animosity that others have mentioned though I probably wasn't looking hard enough.
  6. I hope it's not a sensitive topic, but what's happened to KC from Casey? He did a fantastic job with score updates and match reviews.
  7. I seem to remember Jones going head to head with Ablett in the last couple of years and keeping him to about 20 touches which was great.
  8. Garland should come in for Pedersen before Georgiou - he is more of a superior upgrade to Ped than Georgiou. Pedersen plays forward and back, Garland can also swing if needed. Georgiou is just a pure backman and he has been playing great football. He's a real no nonsense, old fashioned sort of backman and I'm loving his punch to the back of the forwards head when he can't get a fist on the ball.
  9. 6. N Jones 5. Cross 4. M Jones 3. Frawley 2. T McDonald 1. Spencer
  10. Jones has been manhandling Murphy all day - makes him look like a tag doll. Now who's playing bruise free football? This is great so far.
  11. Robinson out is awesome. He always kills us and I loathe him. He also resembles a fish at times.
  12. Ah, game day. My heart is full of optimism and hope, ready to be trampled and smashed into a million pieces, all over again.
  13. Carlton already lined up to tank, beautiful. You can guarantee they won't get a fine either.
  14. Written by Sam Edmund, enough said. I cannot believe a 'journalist' would write something like that. What a pleb. To say that we'll be haunted by the decision to overlook Kelly before Salem has even debuted is total rubbish.
  15. True, can't fault his endeavour at all. His disposal is another story.
  16. Great first up effort from Pig Dog. Hopefully we'll see him in the firsts in a couple of weeks.
  17. No one will be paying that much for Frawley. If the article had any truth to it, it would be his agent throwing out a ceiling amount to start negotiations. He'd probably receive realistic offers of around 500K to 600K IMO.
  18. It absolutely is. People who are blase about losing him and couldn't really care less are delusional. It would be another huge blow and the effect it would have on our ability to keep and bring other players to the club can't be underestimated.
  19. People tend to judge him on recent form. He's been underwhelming under Neeld and was outshone by Garland particularly last season. He is a great player, no doubt about it. So far this season, despite the flak he has copped, he's averaged 10 marks a game which is huge. Frawley for me is still in the top 5 key defenders in the competition but just needs to recapture form, which I think he's on track to do this season. Once he performs, people will singing his praises like there was never any doubt. However, I'm not confident he'll hang around.
  20. The main thing they have over us is senior experience in players like Murphy, Simpson, Waite, Judd, Robinson, Walker, Carrazzo, Thomas etc. This is what every side has over us, because of our rubbish development and drafting. If you peeled those blokes off or took them away until our experience was comparable then yes, we'd have a better list. But at the moment we do not. Footnote: I have enormous respect for Kade Simpson. He's tough, hard working and very under rated as a player. What is also great is how well he has done as midfielder considering his size. I wish he played for us.
  21. In both those cases the player is worth more than those offers. Regarding Wines, there is nothing to indicate that he is anything but ecstatic about being part of the Port outfit - he is an unrealistic target. Dangerfield too, probably.
