  1. NO I disagree, as it stood before he signed, he was a more important player to MFC than Daisy was to CFC, due to the number of A graders that Colliwobbles have and the dearth of talent on our books, I have watched him since his first 1 handball game against North, he was marketable (hence the Demon shop stuff) and he was unpredictable, but I was always happy to see him back in the side.
  2. I don't think the issue should be who is a better player, I would argue that Colin Sylvia was more important to Melbourne than Daisy was to Collingwood. I think this should taken on it's own merit, if Colin had chosen to stay, it would have sent a message of solidarity to all future players that the place was worth hanging around, however I can't see that Daisy has that same effect on the playing group as a whole at Colliwobbles. Therefore I think that Colin is worth more than Daisy.
  3. $%#*& everything these days is about $$$$ It just gets me annoyed that teams that don't deserve to play in finals will get there on the back of a team that cheated last year, not fair I say !!!
  4. I don't know if any body else has suggested this, but I don't see why other teams should benefit from this whole sorry mess. If EFC don't play finals, then NO team should replace them, let the team that was to play them in the finals get a bye. It burns me that Carlton or who ever finishes 9th should get a final place, they haven't deserved therefore shouldn't get it.
  5. I think John Poulakakis last had this role nearly 2 years ago
  6. I could get to wear my Air Jurrah T shirt again.
  7. I think Terlich too, but for his age Kent has been terrific and I think will get better.
  8. In : Spencer Davis (lets hope they "Keep on Running")
  9. Endeavor was great, unfortunately has never lost the habit of just blazing away, I was shouting at the Teev to get the ball out the middle when we did, twice Sylvia just blazed and kicked straight to one of the Bears.
  10. Might be a bigger crowd there this week, need to recruit more guys with big family and lots of friends. Hope the guy has a blinder
  11. I like your optimism, or do you have a crystal ball? I would wait to see what effort the team puts in the next month before I start judging Neeld's performance this year. If by some miracle they actually start playing cohesive football, then I will say the sacking was justified, however if our list is a pack of duds then Jeans, Barassi, Pagen and Smith rolled into one can't save them Footnote and edit May need to change my avatar
  12. Don't mind if Jordie stays in, he is the best tagger we have, just someone needs to tell him...DON'T KICK IT !!! Handpass handpass handpass In Watts Out Toumpas Just settle the team for once
  13. The best game I ever saw McKenzie play he had 19 handballs and 1 kick. he is a competent tagger, but should never be allowed to kick the ball. I scream at the Teev don't give it Mckenzie, but hey never listen !!!!
  14. 6 Garland 5 A Davey 4 J Magner 3 J Frawley 2 M Evans 1 M Jones Special Mention to Howey who had a great last quarter and to jones who tried hard all day.
  15. How good a target is big Dawesy. Can't wait to get him and Clarke in together. How much are we missing Sylvia, wouldn't have to play Toumpas, who is so obviously not ready
  16. I think we should be 3 or 4 goals in front, forget all the uncontested stats etc, most of them are cheap gets anyway, if we just took the stats Richmond would be 10 goals up. If we could only be more positive bringing the ball out of the 50 and play with a bit more freedom. Come on Neeldy, tell em if they forget all the hype they have been reading they can actually win this. Go Dees !!!!
  17. Man you can pick em
  18. It was only 2 years ago, everybody screamed for Baileys head too, they got their way, but nothing changed, I was there on Sunday and its a low as I can remember but jumping from the frying pan into the fire won't help, It's not a time for major changes, the whole situation needs to be viewed, and making sudden knee jerk moves won't fix anything. Let PJ look at the club for a month or so, and then make some suggestions, maybe some minor changes of personnel in the ever increasing FD will be looked at, but the head coach must stay for now.
  19. IF they bring in Blease for goodness sake leave him in for a few weeks, he's been in and out more times than Ron Jeremy !
  20. I for one don't want Roos, everybody seems to think he will be the Savior,I don't agree, he coaches boring boring football. I read Chris Dawes's blurb on MFC.com tonight, he's right, change for change sake is dumb. Neeld needs some help, I think PJ will assess and keep him but will get a more experienced structure around him.
  21. Well earning respect is one thing and I agree we have been pretty awful. But this is the CEO we are talking about, he is supposed to be impartial.(*****Conspiracy theory warning****). I think he's still peeved at the tanking fiasco, I think he would have liked to jump on us from a height, and this was the next opportunity As for The Age, their Football journo's n(with the exception of Emma Q and Martin F) seem to have no accountability at all. Write the next piece of scuttlebug and stuff the consequences
  22. One may ask why The Age are still running this story http://media.theage.com.au/sport/sports-hq/afl-probes-demons-supplements-inconsistencies-4204490.html This is from the 19th April and is still appearing at the bottom of Real Footy in The Age. It P's me off that our club gets no respect from this rag.
  23. Well I don't think it's all doom and gloom, I take some positives, Carlton's a much better team than Port and we didn't get blown away. Positives: Garland, Frawley, N. Jones (ist half), Evans, Kent, M Jones, and as Dennis says I liked Tappys game. To come in with so many players under 20 games, I think they had a real dip. I never saw players just jogging like the first three weeks. Negatives: Howe (what happened to the Howie the midfelder?) Tommy Mc (tries really hard and boy does he let himself down), Gawn was a bit ordinary today, but that happens to guys who are playing their first 10 games or so.
  24. Uncontested possessions are over rated. If MFC had hit targets and converted their chances, would have been a whole different ball game
  25. I was up shouting at the Telly, haven't done that in a while, CFC look ordinary if you put them under pressure. Need to transplant Watts' leg on Tommy's body, he'd be a superstar. But we won that quarter. Good one guys !!!
