How does one reclaim the unconscious, instinctual part of personality?

I had a kick with a mate on Saturday arvo at the local footy oval. I can easily kick the ball up to about 40m and hit someone on the chest or just out in front of them. It isn't that bloody hard. Granted, I was under no pressure but our kicking skills are not up to AFL standard.

I have a feeling we will win this one. Then again, I was really confident we'd beat Brisbane too!

The pessimism in this site is at an all time high I tipped the Tigers to win as soon as we lost to Brisbane. I think we can, and probably will, win this Sunday against the dogs. They did score a pathetically low score against the Saints, who are primarily a defensive team (although I acknowledge that is changing with Watters at the helm). If we lose this weekend, then I will be joining the "we are absolutely [censored]" brigade.

If that is true about the players going out and drinking after a game, it shows you what is wrong with the club - the players just don't give a f*@k.

Awful team from 2007 to 2009. Improvement in 2010. High expectations in 2011 met with mediocre results. 2012 and it seem's to be getting worse. Can't see us getting a win until round 11 at this rate. Had it still been a 16 team competition, we'd have the wooden spoon in the bag.

Or if gets into a verbal stoush with Neeld... Neeld roasts Lamb...

Tigers by about six goals. As much as we need a win, they need a win too (with Geelong and another tough game to follow) and I can't see them dropping this game. They were pretty competetive against Carlton and Collingwood, while we have been largely uncompetetive against Brisbane (at home) and WC (away; always a tough game).

You make some fair points, though I think we still need to give the players time to actually execute the game plan properly before we judge it as needing an overhaul. I am sure Neeld isn't stupid enough (nor the MFC in hiring him) to just expect to copy the Collingwood game plan and expect success. It is likely that Neeld is focussed on the players' getting part of the plan right before moving on to the other elements. If the gameplan is in fact to replicate the Collingwood gameplan exactely without any sort of modification, then Neeld is an idiot.

Thanks for the effort mate, it is interesting (and disheartening) to see how badly we have started this season. Hopefully we get a win against the Tigers this week.

Speaking of getting pillaged; we are going to get absolutely savaged by free agency due to the clubs financial situation and the total lack of appeal to leave the club (not to mention lack of appeal at even coming to the club).

At least when you truly hit rock bottom, the only way is up. As hard as the last few weeks and months have been, we will continue to support the club and if the day comes when we do secure that elusive 13th premiership, it will be all the more sweeter!

Now I understand perfectly why Scully left this club.

We cannot beat Brisbane at the G' means no chance of beating WCE at Subi. I'm not buying the "we'll get up due to the tumulturous week we have had" argument either. If we couldn't get up for Jimmy last week, don't expect a miracle this week.

Why is this club always in the headlines for all the wrong reasons? Boy what a great start to 2012 we have had!

I've bought a guernsey, a membership, and other various merchandise as of late. What I am sicking of buying is the empty claims that success if just around the corner that come from this club.

Clark still ended up with 2 goals yesterday in what was an insipid performance from the entire team (bar a few). The delivering inside F50 was horrendous, so I wasn't too concerned about Clark. Plenty of other issues to worry about. This week against WCE will be ugly.

I am assuming teams will be picked today since there is a game tomorrow? Or is it the normal Thursday for teams, with the exception of Richmond and Carlton?

Thanks again. Looks like my membership only entitles me to sit in general admission anyway. Doesn't bother me, as long as I have a seat and can watch the Demons have a win, I'm happy.

Thanks for all the responses, they are appreciated. I will probably sit up in the normal spot behind the goals on the 2nd (or is it 3rd?) level. When I go to Melbourne v. W.B, I will only be with another member so I will arrive early to scope out the other seating.
