  1. He's not Gawn!
  2. By year's end, unfortunately, I'd seriously think we'd get more for Fitzy.
  3. Not good. Your dad jokes are terrible. Or is it a case of too many sleepless nights waiting for the royal baby, eh Stuie?
  4. And while we are at it, can we get the Morton bros back together?
  5. Does a pretty mean impersonation of a palm tree though.
  6. With a real coach and an injection of a 2-3 experienced good players such as Buddy or someone like an Ablett, GWS will become a very good team. There is simply too much talent in their list. That is, assuming they hang onto them. I too think Tassie deserve a team, but financially and in terms of growth of the game, it's a no brainer - western Sydney has to succeed. Massive population growing rapidly, numbers = money, bigger growth potential for the game than Tassie, need to establish a foothold in the soccer strong land. If they do it right, it will pay for itself in due course. Tassie has a small population, it's economy is stuffed, it is economically and geographically isolated. It would survive only because of continual Tas State Govt and AFL support. What it does have going for it is a passion for the game, which is obviously hugely important. Couldn't read the article, not an Oz subscriber.
  7. I thought young draftees were on 2 year contracts and could not be touched during that time? Yeah? or have I misunderstood the draft rules.
  8. And can we have Gaz Ablett, Selwood, Pendles and Sandilands while you're at it. Thanks.
  9. Can he bring some of the Swans midfielders with him?
  10. Isn't Pedometer on a 3 year deal? Who'd match that or accept our crappy list management and take that contract on board? I'd also like to get rid of Byrnes, but he has another year to go as well. Davey maybe 1 more year on very little money. The others mentioned so far... meh.
  11. With Gawn and Spencer competing for fist ruck and Clark, Fitz and even Pedo doing the support, do we need another tall, especially when he can't mark, can't kick and only taps to his feet? Honestly, at this rate he's possibly getting paid more money per disposal than TS. If Jamar has any currency at all, trade him.
  12. Don't worry - we would still have Melbournised Masten into mediocrity.
  13. As opposed to Beamer whose barge arrse takes up more space than warrants his selection, hey Stuie.
  14. Like Jamar has only had 3 senior coaches to become a top line ruck and has had one good year out of 10. Should have been listed 3 years ago when he had more currency. Yes, yes, yes. Absolutely agree. I'd be for that trade with Adams, even if we also gave our 3rd round pick, which would be a late 2nd rounder for some other clubs. About pick 30 might do the trick. A trade here or there could get us that pick. Jamar + pick 30 for Adams
  15. Or having the financial and people backing of the AFL. Or having what Roos said was a promising list that had a number of holes to be filled. I see it as a great challenge for a guy that loves to create success. If he wants to coach again, he'll take it. If there is no coaching drive left, he'll say no.
  16. Cause we have a glut of small back flankers with good disposal and bloodlines of determination and grit. Nah, pass.
  17. I was under the impression that the hawks would have to match GWSs RFA offer to Buddy (assuming there will be an offer) and then trade him once he was recontracted to them. Is that right? Doesn't that kinda manipulate the purpose of the FA system and dilute its integrity? It's not far off draft tampering, I'd have thought. Or will Buddy re-sign for the hawks before the draft period, then be traded to GWS. I smell a rat.
  18. Sometimes it works as well, eg Kieren Jack and brother (so far). But as you say mono, if he's near the best available at our pick, yes, if not, pass.
  19. It'll be a great day when 150 game milestones at the club are dwarfed by 5-6 players in the 200-250 game range for the MFC, particularly if they are of the quality of Nate Jones.
  20. Wasn't affraid to put his body on the line. Selfless and determined.
  21. I'm not sure there is a rule that specifically covers what happened with Clisby in the goal square. However, I will question why such an inexperienced player was doing a kick in at that point in the game. The result clearly shows that we should have experienced players with good decision making and foot skills in that job.
  22. Not sure Fitz is a first class kick at goal. That 45 deg snap thing from a set shot is best left up to the likes of Stevie J.
  23. Trademar Jamar.
