  1. Agreed. Never imagined I'd like the thoughts of BH, must check that I'm not having a bad dream.
  2. Trust you to take it one step lower Bitter.
  3. One Swallow a midfield doth not make, but it'd be an excellent step in the right direction. Lets hope GC spit him out.
  4. Comparing Watts and Jones is not comparing apples with apples. One gives his all, has built his body into a machine, puts his body on the line repeatedly, has worked on his deficiencies and bleeds red n blue. The other gives occasionally, jogs instead of gut runs, has untapped potential and skill, wants success in order to re-sign rather than leading by example in a winning side. I. Think you can guess who is who. And no, we cannot wait 8 years to see Jack become as disappointing as Colin Silvia.
  5. A little too much graphic detail Srj but I get your point.
  6. Got to be a pretty decent footballer to play over 100 AFL games. You have our respect and gratitude.
  7. Thank god. Now to fill the board, get a prize coach and establish some stability. What a mess.
  8. Another clear example of a highly rated draftee being developed 'the Melbourne way'.
  9. Unfortunately, I don't think that will happen if he stays with us. Would prefer to keep him, but he needs a major shift in his mindset before he becomes a top 10 player.
  10. Thanks Sheldon. Can't say the same.
  11. If by 'show' you mean jogging instead of gut running, up and down form, inconsistent hunger for the contest and expecting others to lift the team instead of taking the game on himself, then yes, he is showing that. Keep or trade Watts? Meh... whatever. He's not going to be the messiah for us, that's for sure.
  12. Agreed rjay. People keep talking about Jack and Mick Malthouse in the same sentence, so it kinda makes sense. If you take the hype of being a no1 pick out of the equation, both Watts and Gibbs' careers have been largely mediocre with the occasional patch of potential on show. Given our mid vacancies, Gibbs would be more important to us than Watts.
  13. I honestly think we over rate what other clubs think of JW. Most opposition supporters i know see him as skillful but weak and pea hearted. I rate him similar to Gibbs, but Gibbs is ahead of Jack IMO. Maybe Gibbs or Yarran trade, but I don't like either. Or JW might get us a late 1st round pick, if we are lucky. The guy just hasnt shown much and isn't worth that much.
  14. Seriously Stuie, that's what I pictured you to look like. Lol.
  15. Ha! And I thought I was on ignore. Too bad.
  16. So much for supporting OUR club BH. Who do you support, by the way, because its certainly not Melbourne.
  17. Ah yes, fresh meat, yet to be touched by the wrath of BH. Go get him big russian!
  18. Hard to pick a regular who is not an imbecile on TFS Bitter.
  19. I don't know about this 25 disposals per match goal. I'd have thought our captain and no 2 draft pick should become a 35 per match player, similar to other gun mids, eg, Judd, Ablett, Swan, Montagna.
  20. Play the ball, not the man Bitter.
  21. Again, you want to trade out a guy not in our best 22 for another guy you don't see being in our best 22? Madness.
  22. You want to trade for a player you don't see being in our best 22? Madness.
  23. Perhaps the reason why the players rate him is because the only other senior coach most of them have had at the club was Bailey and or Neeld. Besides, who in their right mind would pick a coach based upon the rating of the worst list in the competition?
  24. Boyd will go 1. We will only achieve this deal with PP1.
  25. Closer to home. My local member Bitter.
