We CAN win the flag. Will we? Probably not, but HH is right, the players should enter every game believing they are a chance to win. How much WILL we improve? Depends a lot on injuries. If we can get 20 games out of each of our core group of midfielders (Jones, Tyson, Vince, Viney, Lumumba) + Hogan and Dawes, then I think we'll see 8-10 wins.

I watch every game live on the AFL Global Pass.... unfortunately.

"Clark, Dawes, Hogan and Howe will be one of the most dangerous forward lines in the comp."- Demons supports circa September 2013- March 2014 Let's wait and see whether we can get our ideal forward line on the park. I can't remember the last time that happened. Was it when Jurrah, Wonnaeamirri and Green were up there together in 2010?
-
I think that Bailey had nothing to do with his departure because he was not at the club when Green retired. In fact, when Bailey left the club Green was still captain.
-
Green retired after Neeld's first season. Bailey had nothing to do with his departure.

Sounds brutal...might give it a try

How does 100 x 100 work? How long do you rest between sprints?

Training - Friday 19th December, 2014
Good Times Grimes replied to Longsufferingnomore's topic in Melbourne Demons
Especially important for the game style that Roos is trying to have us play. We need players that can break away from stoppages and kick goals, and Kent is one of them. Teams that win flags all have goalkicking midfielders, something that we have lacked for a long time. -
Nobody's bold enough to ask for a premiership?

Just off the top of my head, and could easily be missing a few... Jetta Dunn Frost Howe McDonald Garland Lumumba Jones Watts Vince Hogan Garlett Kent Gawn Pedersen F: Jamar Tyson Viney Bench: Cross Grimes Bail Sub: Salem Unlucky: Toumpas, Michie, JKH, Newton This is a far harder exercise than it has been for the past 10 or so years. It'll be interesting to see whether our injury list come round one allows for tough decisions to be made. It'll be great seeing fierce competition for spots all over the ground for the first time in God knows how long.

TROY BROADBRIDGE DAY - 26 DECEMBER
Good Times Grimes replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I remember taking my young cousin to a footy clinic run by the MFC, and Troy was in charge of his age group's session. He was so kind and caring with the kids and you could just tell that he was a ripping bloke. I only ever spoke to him the once, but I can't help but think about him every year at this time. His final act was the most noble thing that anyone could do-- he sacrificed his life for somebody that he loved. RIP Troy. Gone but never forgotten.- 12 replies

Melbourne Demons 2014 Highlights! (Link Inside)
Good Times Grimes replied to Jasonk_27's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yep, Tyson's goal against Port in Alice was the highlight for me. -
We'll see how stiff the competition is a week out from round one. At the moment the injury list looks pretty good, but it seems that every year it's lean pickings when it comes to game day.

I like the look of Harmes, but think he needs a bit more time in the VFL before playing in the seniors. Same goes for King. No idea about the other two...
-
I feel for McCartin...he will have a fair bit of work to do to win over Saints supporters that had their hearts set on Petracca. Some already seem to hate him without ever having seen him play a game!
-
Whatever happens, it's fun to watch the Saints supporters having a major meltdown on BigFooty.

Yes, it's different than Bruce, McDonald, etc, however it just feels wrong...
